Chapter 4 – Emissary of Sin
Mature Warning- Nudity, violence,
--* Soul Citadel, Underworld *--
“Hahahaha!” boisterous laughter exploded from the demon’s mouth as the surrounding audience slowly backed away. From numerous rumors, they had gathered that the Prince of Wrath was a literal storm of chaos during his periods of madness. The glint of amusement in the prince’s eyes did not bode well for their well being.
As a cohesive whole, the entirety of the audience scurried away, leaving the two monsters behind to tangle with each other. Their steps grew even larger as their ears heard the words uttered, “Serve under me, o pitiful sinner!”
The ground began to shake once again as the two individuals brawled, however, it quickly ended with a pained screech. Overhead, a figure flew dozens of meters per second, spewing forth fountains of crimson. Following it was another figure clad in similarly crimson armor.
“I refuse!” the ragged body replied as it crashed into the citadel walls, cracking it into numerous fragments. Before anyone could gape in shock, Satan’s body collided with the already battered sinner, further damaging the walls.
“I said serve me, you heathen!” he roared. The pressure of his voice forced down any of the demons who were unfortunate enough to accidentally run their direction. The already crumbling citadel walls were only damaged further, but it did not prove the same to Grim’s will.
“The only person I will serve is myself…” the man stood up from the debris covering his nude muscular body. Though gashes completely covered him, staining the crimson floor a haunting black color, Grim stood gallantly, a prideful look plastered on his face. Never in his life would he again stoop low enough to be commanded by anyone other than himself.
Two glowing eyes pierced into his soul, threatening to completely destroy his existence, yet the man stubbornly kept his ground. Suddenly, the chilling pressure covering the area disappeared. The demons caught inside sighed as they once again sneakily crawled away. Never again would they dare approach any of the Seven Princes without utmost caution.
“Would you serve me if I provided you enough power to take revenge?” the gigantic demon once again spoke, his voice holding serious tension. His past actions, unlike what the surrounding demons hypothesized, were completely calculated and were not a result of madness. Having had read Grim’s memories, he was completely enthralled by the man’s extreme willpower and yearning for strength.

However, men change when they are faced with danger. Prideful kings will become cowards unable to face an enemy face to face. Wrathful criminals will hesitate and perhaps even break down if they were given the chance to kill. Should Grim have skulked away whilst under his pressure, then Satan would have completely destroyed the discarnate soul.
Boastful words were not valued in the Soul Citadel, but honest actions were completely respected. Be it an action for the sake of justice or for the sake of chaos, it did not matter to the demons. Though, those who strive to bring chaos to the citadel will be severely punished, their actions will still be respected for their honesty.
Fortunately for Grim, his thirst for power was not a simple emotion but controlled the entirety of his being. It was the only fuel driving him to continue moving forward with the horrible life he had once endured. In his mind, no one had the right to govern his actions, but the demon’s words truly whetted his interest.
“How do you plan on providing me strength, demon?” after uttering those words, Grim collapsed to the floor onto his knee. The damage he had received exceeded his fortitude, but this only proved to him that the demon truly had the capabilities to strengthen himself.
“Become my emissary and disciple as a collector of sin and achieve powers mortals could not even fathom,” the Demon spoke each word with power, driving them into the kneeling man’s brain. It was not often that one of the Princes would accept a disciple; much less an emissary, yet Grim had no knowledge of this.
A hint of doubt flashed in Grim’s crimson eyes, equally as piercing as the demon’s gaze.
“How will that help me?” he questioned. Though the words truly piqued his interest, only a fool would agree to anything without knowing the true meanings of a deal: a deal with the devil.
‘Cautious…’ the word echoed out in Satan’s mind as he stared at the man in front of him. At first, he truly only wanted to force Grim into a losing situation as his servant to collect souls with only minimal benefits, but the man’s vigilant personality did not allow him to cheat.
“Become the Underworld’s knight as the gatherer of souls, playing the role of Death itself and you shall grow in power,” he stated as he stared off into the sky overhead, “seeing as you’ve retained much of your memories during our previous brawl, I believe that you know the benefits of gathering souls.”

A thoughtful look covered Grim’s face. The moment Satan had destroyed the flame shell covering his soul; he had immediately regained consciousness and the memories of his previous life. Though he was not in control of his body at the time, he felt the strands of power each soul provided. It was as if he had grown to become the strongest being in the whole universe, but that confidence was quickly shattered as he was smacked around like a doll by the being in front of him.
Should he be able to retain that same power once more, it would be enough to destroy entire military organizations on the surface of the world. In addition to this massive benefit, Grim knew that declining the offer would result in the demon before him obliterating his entire existence.
“I accept…” he muttered quietly. Though it pained him to serve a being other than himself, the benefits completely captured his interest.
“Under the name of the Prince of Wrath, Satan, bestowed by the creator of the universe, I hereby declare that the being in front of me, Grim Pareer, serve as an Emissary of Sin! By the laws of Wrath and my powers as a Prince, let Death’s Touch corrupt this soul and bestow unimaginable strength. Sin Bestowal: Wrath” without warning, the demon began to chant numerous words. With each spoken syllable, the crimson fog surrounding the citadel rotated faster and faster, as if it was forming a tornado of red.
The flesh soil outside began to vomit geysers of complete darkness and the seas rose into strands of whirling black. Nightmarish spectral creatures began to surround the two individuals, one kneeling in a puddle of black liquid and another with his arms raised into the air, chanting. It was a bewitching sight, catching the attention of numerous individuals around the citadel. Anguished screeches invaded the citadel as the darkness gathered around Grim.
It was the advent of another emissary. The advent of Death.
…
“Master, is that…?” a beautiful woman questioned as she stared into the sky, gasping at the amount of darkness spewing forth from the land. A silky white dress covered her entire body, but it was not capable of completely hiding the stunning curves of her body and only served to complement her long black hair.
She truly represented the personification of a goddess’s beauty. As her amethyst-colored eyes stared deep into the sky covering the citadel, a comparatively handsome man walked over to her side. A royal feeling completely surrounded his body, forcing anyone to bow down to his glory, but that aura would be ignored by anyone staring.
Anyone would fall into their deep carnal desires of lust if they were to even set their eyes upon his flesh, much less the perfection that is his face. Though it was slightly feminine, many would still consider him the most handsome man on Earth. A long mane of soft white hair crawled down his back as he stared up into the sky. Opening his mouth, a voice of angelic symphonies filled the air, “So, Satan has obtained a disciple huh… That completes the younger generation of emissaries.”
“For the Prince of Wrath to accept a disciple, just how powerful could that soul be?” the woman speculated, her voice comparable to a masterful choir. Surrounding the two curious individuals, hundreds of violet flames flickered, letting out seductive sounds of pleasure. This rosy atmosphere was quickly destroyed however as embers suddenly coalesced in the air, gathering into the figure of an impish creature.
“Prince of Lust, Asmodeus, and Emissary of Lust, Lilith, the Prince of Pride is calling you back to the citadel to meet the Prince of Wrath’s disciple,” the red creature bowed as he relayed the words of Lucifer.
“Thank you. Let us go, Lilith, to meet that hothead’s disciple and your future co-emissary,” Asmodeus laughed amusedly. Amongst the other emissaries, many of them were men and did not garner any favor from Lilith. Each and every one of them was completely drowned in carnal desires the moment they set their eyes upon the beauty. The girl’s face grimaced in response.
Around the other corners of the Underworld, multiple individuals met other imps, who relayed a similar message. It was time for the Emissaries of Sin to gather once again to welcome the final player.
