《Otaku Streaming In A Cultivation World》Ch. 3 - What I Can Do
Advertisement
I still have a slight headache despite being back sitting on my gaming chair. It was evidence that what I just saw and felt was real.
And to add more to it- what once was a plain background, the title screen of Cultivation Realm changed to a beautiful scenery inside a forest. The very same forest I saw when I opened my eyes a while ago.
“I was inside the game…”
I will try and explain things through a scientific approach. But when the evidence is impossible to decipher, you’ll think of the most extreme means. And maybe one out a million, it is the correct answer.
That is why I blame ghosts for my state of unconsciousness a couple of minutes ago.
“The stream!”
Remembering I had synced it with my Hitch account, my phone which is still playing my stream is now showing the same display on what I had in my monitor.
The total duration of my stream hadn't reached ten minutes yet. I found a way to check and rewind through those ten minutes and see what showed when I entered the game.
“I may have hit my head too hard.”
I can hear myself speaking while I watch the first-person view on my phone. Every word that I spoke and every action that I did, all of it was shown like how I perceived it to be.
Having a first-person view made it feel like I was watching a movie. A movie that I just experienced.
I did not stay in that world for long although I’m convinced that it was really me who is acting stupid in the game.
My perception of the world changed. I thought things like this only happened in novels or movies, but now it appears in my front door.
Not going to lie, but I was afraid of clicking start once again. If my hypothesis is right, then my body- or at least my consciousness is inside the game.
Thankfully, quitting seems to be not a problem. I’m worried about the pain threshold setting although it being at its lowest should give me a breather.
“Cultivation Realm… What a strange game or maybe it’s even a whole new world. Yet, I can stream it.”
If there was a window of opportunity, this might be the one.
It would be a big change in the gaming scene once this is discovered. However, no one would believe me if I simply make a blog post about it- It’s the internet for fuck sake.

And it would be a total waste if I don’t stream it when I’m the only one who seems to own this game. Audiences will totally flock my stream very soon.
Seeing the potential it can give to my streaming career, my worries are put on the furthest part of my head.
“Here I come a world of the unknown. Let me see what you can offer for the future viewers.”
Clicking Start, I return to the greenery scenery once again.
“Shit. Will my head hurt every time I play? I don’t even know if it’s only my body or consciousness being transported here.”
I had a better gist of how my body function in this world. Stretching my slightly obese to its limit, I found my movements the same as how they would be in the real world. I was hoping I’d get a fit body in this game, but it seems to copy every single aspect of my flabby arms.
I don’t have a mirror, but I’m guessing I still have my average-looking face.
The location I was dropped into seems to be peaceful. I walked for minutes already and I see nothing but insects that pose no threat at all. I was waiting for goblins or slimes to show up, but all I got was trees after trees.
Disappointed- Yes, I might say. Although it may be for the better because a battle from the get-go is not good for me. Especially when this game doesn't give instructions.
“Lonely~ I’m Mr. Lonely~ I see nobody… Except for some birds~”
Walking for a long period of time is very boring. I’m humming and singing all songs popping in my mind just to make time feel faster than forever.
If what I am seeing and experiencing right now is the gameplay being shown on the stream outside, then good luck to me. No one would watch this walking gameplay
This atrocious never-ending journey gave me all the time I need to experiment with what I can do as a player.
Unlike the popular belief I had concerning these types of situations, there was no System or status screen to display my character stats and objectives.
Well… There is one that may be related to it.
[Say something…]
Saying or simply thinking about the word ‘stream’, a chat box appeared in my peripheral view. Since I’m literally the only viewer right now, the chat box was empty and transparent except for the part where I tried sending my own message.

The current viewers count is also displayed in the upper right corner. A nice little 1 is floating neatly.
Besides that, I don’t have anything.
“… What is that?”
A strange movement between some bushes caught my eye.
Hissss~
A long boy you’ll never want to see when you're exploring a forest appeared in front of me. Good thing animals here look identical to what I… Ok, I take that back.
“How long is snake!!!”
More than 10 meters of its body have come out of the bush. Yet, there were no signs of when it will end. So I ran in the opposite direction not waiting for my question to be answered.
My physique can only take much running. And navigating through a forest is a task I have never done before.
After just a few minutes of chase, the snake has caught up to me.
Now that I was facing it up close, I realized how thick and lengthy this green creature was. I’ll probably fit in its mouth without any effort.
“Eight Trigram Palm!... Fuck! Did I not receive any powers?!”
I’m not really sure what kind of moves cultivators would have so I tried something that sounds like one. But alas, nothing happened.
All I did was reach out my palm so the snake can reach me faster.
“This is a game right…? Will I respawn if I die?.”
Woosh!
I barely superman dive away to my right when its fangs were coming at me.
The snake did not care if its prey would die or not. The fat human in its eyes is a delicious prey.
My position made me into an easy target. I did not put enough agility in my character, if I had one, to dodge the upcoming attack. I can only pray I won’t die in the real world if I die here.
Shriek!
Before my body got engulfed by the mouth that was stretching towards me, the snake wiggled as blood-curdling screams brought the peace inside the forest to an end.
“How did a commoner trespass here?”
A bunch of shadows went to where the corpse of the snake lies.
Knowing that my life was saved, I turned around to see who killed the creature. It was a group made out of six people with an equal number of males and females.
They were dressed somewhat uniformly because of the same green cloaks they were wearing, but one has a dark blue instead. However, one thing is present in those cloaks green or blue. And that was the insignia of a white tiger engraved on their right shoulder portion.
“Who’s this loser that can’t even kill a Green Serpent.”
“I don’t remember anyone that looks like him in our Sect. And he’s not wearing any insignia.”
“Do we report this to Elder Wu?”
“It’s easier if we just dispose of another random body.”
I was staying silent the whole time because, like them, I am also observing this group. But I heard something I cannot stay silent at.
“I’m not just a random nobody. I believe it is fate that brought us together in this unlikely scenario.”
“… What’s this guy talking about.”
“I second the decision to just dispose of his body.”
From their words, I conclude it was really the world for cultivators. Although my act as a mysterious expert did not work. That was one of the distinct attributes I remember from reading those cultivation novels. From the streets to some prison cells, experts were littered all over the place. I thought these people are the type that believes in that.
I may be weak, but there was a chance their imaginations will blur their reasons and think they got lucky for meeting me.
“Elder Wu knows everything that is happening in this test. We can’t risk our ranking because of this guy.”
“Tsk~ So what do we with him.”
“Just leave him I guess.”
No matter what world wherein, the words of a beautiful woman are often time listened to by men- And I am thankful for that because she was the one to convince them in leaving me alone.
I barely got to talk to the first people I found, and I already had my life in danger twice.
Letting the group leave after taking a small bead from the snake’s head, I decided to return to the title screen.
