《Inter-dimensional House Travel》Chapter 3: A Visit?

Captain Valen's POV:
Morning, it’s almost 9:00 AM and most of the men from my company have gathered in front of my tent for their daily training exercises. today I plan to bring them to the areas around the province's boarder, since there were sightings of Bandits here from a few days ago.
"...captain I bring… word" - Malach
"Oh, why are you out of breath Malach, did something happen?" Malach is one of my runners, he runs around the province of Aldrain to send word between me and the other companies from time to time. Well I it’s better to call him a messenger, but he’s also one of my soldiers, so runner is a better term to use.
"Sorry Captain, I just came back from Meandro village after you sent me to give a message to the StromWind company’s Captain. He said that he will send a messenger at a later date for his reply about your request.” - Malach
Since there were reports from traveling merchants about the bandits in the province, I tried convincing Captain Murdok to help in the subjugation of the Bandits instead of going to the town of Lersche to ask for help from the Adventurer’s and Mercenary’s Guilds. I wish he would like to come and help my company.
“Thank you Malach, do you have anything else to report?”
“Ah yes Captain, I saw a strange sight earlier on my way here. There was a building near river threo in the Valark meadows and I ran as fast as I can to report to you."
"A house you say? What kind of house was it?" I never heard anyone talk about building a house at that general area. Since that area was unclaimed land I guess someone would like to stay there.
"The house was made of something like stone, a strong kind of stone, but I don't know what kind. and it had three meter high walls made of the same material, I think. And there was a metal gate that was as high as the Stone walls. Also there were two small structures inside."- Malach
Well only a rich merchant or a noble would have house like that, but by how high the walls were, I would say that it’s almost like a fortress, only a few people could afford to make people build their house from stone, and even less would actually add a metal gate and High walls. I think I should see this strange house and meet with whoever is living there.
"Well change of plans then." I look towards my men "Alright men,I think we should look into this house... or compound that suddenly appeared on the Valark Meadows."

My men just sighed, well this is better than just lounging around Aldrain Meadows. the hills around Valark will make them a bit more tired and might also help in letting them add more stats on Strength and Endurance.
“Malach, Before you go, can you call for Christa, she might be of help to us when we go there.” I said to Malach who was almost going back to his tent.
“Understood, Captain”-Malach
After 15 Minutes
“...you called for me Captain?”
I see our new and only mage Christa was already here, I called for her to enter my tent. As usual she wore her robe which she said was enchanted with Physical protection against most weapons. Well since mages had lower health that warriors, they usually compensate this with using enchanted robes or tunics.
“Ah yes Christa, I would like you to accompany us to visit a strange house that suddenly appeared near the Threo river in the Valark Meadow, I think you already heard it from the other soldiers?”
“You know I don’t actually talk to much with your men except for some of them that don’t look at me with hostility.”-Christa
Since she is a mage, and a girl at that, most of the men don’t trust magics to much. Since it was only around 20 years ago since our Kingdom has added mages from the Azure Academy to be part of the Companies. Most men don’t like mages.
“Well, Christa, I would like you to use your skills, for later at the House we are going to visit.”
Christa just looks at me for a bit and thinks for a moment.
“I won’t take Jor and Jacob there.” I say with a smile.
“Okay Captain.”-Christa
I dismiss her and Begin packing my stuff and equip my armor and weapons.
Justin's POV
I wake up to the sound of banging on the gate.
"Is anybody inside? This is Captain Valen of the Marthean Kingdom Army. can I speak to the owner of this house?"-Captain Valen
Wow a Military man actually came to see me, I look at the window and I see around 50 people in leather armor with various weapons from spears, swords and bows. There’s also someone wearing a robe and holding what looks like a tome, maybe that’s mage. well I better make nice to them, I don't feel like it would be a good idea to fight with people like them.
I took a white shirt and wore a pair of slacks and put on my shoes after I washed my face. I pick up my Revolver, I check it, yup it's loaded. and pick up the bowie knife and head downstairs to get a glass of water and eat an apple. After a few bites I go to the door and open the door.

"Ah greetings, I am Captain Valen, I was told that a house suddenly showed up in the area, you don't look like you're from here. May I know who you are?"- Captain Valen
Well since I am of Asian descent, I don't actually look like them. they're mostly blondes and brown haired. better not screw this up.
"Ahh, Yes, my name is Justin, I actually don't own the house, I’m just renting it since the landlord went to a vacation."
The captain just looks at me and mutters a few word I couldn't discern. The robed figure then goes to side and speaks with the captain.
"Ah pardon me Sir Justin, it seems that you are a scholar, but might I ask you, how did you manage to build a house here, and a good one. in a matter of days. What magic was used?" -Captain Valen
Wow so that robed figure really was a mage, and the mage also used some kind of spell to see my status. So there really was magic in this world, Interesting. For now I'll just offer to let them inside for now.
I open the gate and and the Captain smiled at me.
Hospitality +2 Reputation
And there it is, I shouldn’t be surprised now. I really love how this rpg world works. I look at the captain looking at me while I ushered them into the Veranda, well he has a lot of soldiers with him.
" I don't think all your men will fit inside so lets just go to the back where there is more space Captain."
The captain nods and I lead them.to the backyard. while they get themselves, I excuse myself a bit and I go inside to grab a water jug and a few cups to let them drink. I think walked a bit to come here, and they're thirsty since they were sweating abit. I comeback to hand the jug and cups to his men and they help themselves and personally give Captain Valen a cup.
"Thank you Sir Justin, as you may know, I am curious about your presence in this area. May I ask why you are in the Valark meadows alone?"-Captain Valen
Well that shouldn't come as a surprise, they seem to be a good bunch of people, might as well tell them some of the truth.
"Well you see Captain. Yesterday, maybe around 8:00 PM, I woke up and suddenly see that the house and myself were suddenly transferred to this area, as you have seen, I am not from the area, and I do not know if I am even in the same continent I was in yesterday.”
The captain again asked for the Robed figure to come forth, the robed figure then took of her hood and I saw that it was a beautiful girl, maybe around 20 years old or even older and she looked me in the eyes.
“By the power of Luduan, do you swear that you are all that you have said is the truth?”
Well that escalated quickly, they might think I can be hostile, so I’ll just try and tell only the truth. But who was Luduan anyways?
“I swear that I have only spoken the truth.”
And a light shone where I was, it actually felt good to be honest. The captain smiled and looked at me.
“Well it seems like you told the truth, still where are you from anyways?”-Captain Valen
“I’m actually from a place called San Fernando.”
The captain then asked the man to his right, he looks like he is his right hand man. Well looks like they don’t know where I’m from.
“Sir Justin, since the world is vast, I think we don’t know where this San Fernando is. But as of now, you are inside of the Kingdom of Marthea, and as such there are some, procedures you must accomplish to properly live here. Since this place Is around an hour’s walk to the nearby village it would be hard for the kingdom to have the guards make rounds here, but if you like I can make some of my men fortify the area around your walls and help you with the procedures I have said earlier. But all of that would actually cost a bit of coin.”-Captain Valen
Well being formally known as the Owner of the land around here would be better, and maybe it’s safer to have a few guards around the area. And I might also be able to trade with travelers that might pass by.
“Okay I will take you up on that. How much does it cost for your men to build some fortifications around the house?”
The Captain smiled and said “well for the paying my men for building and guarding the area, and also for the materials that will be used, I would say around 3 gold coins and 20 silvers. As for guiding you to the next town it will be free since we plan on going there to report. May I ask though what is your level now Sir Justin.”
I smiled and said “ I'm still only level 17."
.
.
.
The Captain was shocked I don’t know why.

On the continent of Moravia, eight empires have united humanity into a coalition of kingdoms that killed the world’s gods and have sworn to uphold peace amongst mortals. But as a man without a drop of sorcerous blood, Mattiew has to get old partners in crime on board with a near-blasphemous lie. Same Crap, Different World
A young man from early 21st century wakes up in a different world. This world is like a typical setting of an fantasy isekai novel. But it is also not. There is magic, alchemy, magical creatures, different non-human races, peasants and nobles, demons and dragons. But there is also politics, persecution, supremacism of every kind, entitlement, slavery and other unpleasant human tendencies. In short, this new world does not differ much from his old one. However, besides him, there may be others who have made such a strange trip, and awakened into this new world. There certainly have been others, in the past. But more than people and other living things, there have been items. All sorts of items, which are regarded as otherworldly artifacts with unknown danger and power. And he himself is an artifact as well, albeit a living one. Therefore he has use for the powers that be. He is also given a role and expectations to fulfill, to hide his real value. And in all that he still has to make sense of what has happened, what is happening, and find a way back, if possible. Author's note: I write this project mostly in (except chapter 1) in 60-100 page (40,000-70,000 word) chapters, edit them as such and later cut them down for publishing into 7-11 page segments (depending on natural breaks in the flow). Therefore, each chapter may be divided into 10-15 subchapters.
