I rolled out of the shell, coughing and gagging and choking on the contents of my egg. It tasted alright but I think I inhaled some of the liquid. I blinked my eyes a couple of times to try and get some semblance of control over my situation. My egg was the only one in the nest, so I didn't have to worry about murderous siblings. I looked to where the light was coming from, and I was shocked.

I was in a cave. The light was coming from a glassy-looking ceiling and illuminated the sandy walls. I think it might've been sandstone. I wobbled around and realized I was a lot smaller than the hologram showed my body. In the 3D model, I was at least 6 feet tall but now I was barely 2 feet tall. My arms and legs were proportionate to my body, so my balance was good despite the change in size.

I surveyed my broken egg and realized I. was pretty hungry.

Ugh, there was some sand on the bottom of the cave that had mixed in with part of the egg. I swallowed the last gritty piece of shell. I wonder if I could pull up my status?

What did the 2 next to my traits mean? I selected the Traits tab.

Wow, I don't know what to choose. Definitely not Dexterous, but the rest is well pretty good. Growth sounds interesting, but it's pretty vague. Regeneration sounds good, and so does reflexes. Growth... would that be how big I can get? I want to be a well-rounded dino, so maybe I should get bigger and faster.

Regeneration is my first pick. Growth is my second.
