The further destruction of the Heavenly Sword Sect
With Zheng Jie gone for one week, Lang Lie went ahead with her plan of purging the resistance out of the Heavenly Sword Sect. Starting with Fu Rong, the head disciple of the Heavenly Sword Sect, in charge of day to day business.
However when it was his time to die, surrounded on all side, Fu Rong disappears.
The remnant of Lang Li's force start a sect wide search in panic, afraid that Fu Rong would call the wrath of Zheng Jie on their head.
Within one million miles, every entrance has been sealed by the Heavenly Sword Sect.
Of course it is suspicious, but the fake Lang Li's rationale was "Put out the fire in front of you first."
If Fu Rong actually escapes it will be an even bigger disaster than some suspicion.
Thus start the slow descent of the Heavenly Sword Sect, in control of Lang Li.
On the outskirt of the Heavenly Sword Sect, there was many small town and villages that have coexisted with the Sect for years. They didn't get the memo to move out, so every men and women was forcibly kicked out, with none of their belongings.
Every house was ransacked in search of Fu Rong. The village and the people's way of life are destroyed.
All the buildings are abandoned.
Except for one that is.
It is an old pub within the sect's ground, run by the sect itself to make money. Of course because it serves cultivators, the pub has to serve wine strong enough to make even cultivators drunk.
It was so strong that it may as well be a poison.
A poisonous wine pub.
The owner is always drunk even though he is a disciple of the Heavenly Sword Sect who is expected to uphold sect image.
The alcohol is free because the owner is always drunk.
There is a limitless gourd within the sect that pour wine.
The pub owner put that gourd to his mouth and then he falls asleep.
That far away, he could only be an outcast disciple of the sect, so drunk and out of it that he never heard the news.
The news that
"Have you seen the traitor Fu Rong?"
The sect disciple interrogate the pub owner who was so drunk that he forgot to bathe for a few weeks.
It is unbecoming of a cultivator, let alone the cultivator of the Heavenly Sword Sect, but the man is too far from the sect that he doesn't care.

"Urgh? What are you... you saying? What Fu Rong? What about that old man?"
The owner is under the spell of the wine, so far gone that he is not all there anymore, drool come out of his mouth as he listens to the interrogators.
"What old man? Sect Master order. Fu Rong has betrayed the sect. Every disciples are ordered to bring him back, dead or alive."
The pub owner falls on the floor after hearing the news.
"Is that right?" Suddenly he says.
Seeing the disgraceful man, the disciples in charge of interrogation kick him over, the gourd falls over the floor, wine is everywhere. The smell of alcohol was extremely strong. That is the kind of alcohol that could bewitch a cultivator.
The owner quickly grabs his gourd and brings it to his mouth to drink. He looks around in a daze, surveying the men surrounding him.
"Hey?" Suddenly the man calls one of the disciple who was sitting in the pub.
"What do you want you disgraceful man?"
"We are a sword sect right?"
"Yeah?" Even the disciple was baffled enough by the non-sequitur question that he didn't beat the man for his breath.
"Than where is that woman's sword?"
The owner points to a skimpily dressed woman among the disciples. In the first place, she holds no sword. Secondly, she really doesn't look like she belongs to the Heavenly Sword Sect at all.
What happened to "Entering the Heavenly Sword Sect, worldly love is left behind."? That is the biggest slogan in the sect, the first thing everyone saw when they walked into the sect.
...those clothes, they don't fit the sect at all.
Suddenly the disciple slaps the disgraceful pub owner.
"How dare you talk that way to master Fan Ai? Because of our sect's lack of man power, master Fan Ai from the court itself has come to lead her assistance in eliminating the traitor Fu Rong."
Falling all over the ground, the pub owner looks up at the disciple with a glare.
"Is that so?"
But is there anything he could do? He was a small pub owner, an outcast of the Heavenly Sword Sect not even worth a glance from someone from the the Court itself.
Master Fan Ai didn't even glance at the pub owner, his cultivation was only at Gathering Stars level, not even reaching Constellation.
It has to be said that Constellation is the threshold stage, frankly speaking at Constellation stage, no fluke could happen, even if there is one million Gather Stars cultivators who join force to fight a single Constellation Stage cultivator, there will be one million corpses, and none of them are the Constellation cultivators.

The last few final stage of the world cultivation system is compared to the Stellar phenomenon above. Gathering Stars, Constellation, Star Rivers, and finally the Sky Sea that encompasses all.
A Gathering Stars cultivator was never in the mind of a Constellation cultivator at all.
...
The sky outside was raining. Any of the cultivators there could dispel the rain, but they ignore it.
Under the rain, walk Fu Rong, former head disciple of the Heavenly Sword Sect. The rain was like rubbing salt on wounds, even now he could not even protect his own body from the rain. On his body there are many nasty wounds, caused by his own sect.
He doesn't understand why suddenly trusted friends turn on him like that, even if it is order from Lang Li with the sect master's sword, they have to at least question the order right?
But all of them turn on him, like in a trance, they cut and lash without abandon, seeking his head. He escape, but the the cuts on his body was the least of his worries.
Fu Rong's entire body was shook, his inner organ was damaged, his defense was break through by strange arts from a group of women. It was extremely strange, he could tell that none of the women's foundation was stable, but they were all at a high level of cultivation. Even though supposedly their inner energy and cultivation was higher than him, he is confident that he could have cut all of their heads ignoring the cultivation differences. His foundation was solid as a block of steel, their was flawed and full of cracks.
But he could not get close.
The sect disciple defend the women recklessly, and the women all have extremely strange art that attack from afar.
A spell that was like an invisible hand grabbing his entire body, even his inner organs and gripping it. The invisible force could also push him away if he got too close.
There was five Star Rivers cultivators present that day and countless other Constellation cultivators, Fu Rong was a late stage Constellation cultivator. All of the Star Rivers cultivators died that day, Fu Rong took their heads before escaping.
Not without damage to himself.
The rain just keep on pouring down, like the Heaven itself has given up on the Heavenly Sword Sect.
In Fu Rong's mind, there is only one question. "Why? Just what did we do to deserve this?". Their sect master was only gone for one day and this happen. At this moment, surely countless other notable disciples are fighting for their lives, and not all of them could be as ferocious as Fu Rong.
That is why Fu Rong chooses to take the head of the five strongest cultivators on the scene that day to his detriment. He could have escaped without those grievous injuries, but he saw the writing on the all. This is a purge. There has to be other fellow disciples fighting, and so Fu Rong chose to sacrifice so that the other disciples don't have to fight those monsters.
It is because he was the head disciple.
He tried escaping.
But on his way, there was a pub.
The traitors already map out all of Fu Rong's possible escape route.
When Fu Rong saw the disciples walking out of the pub with one of the strange women at Constellation stage, Fu Rong draw his sword.
It was fate.
In his injured stage, he would die.
But at least he will try to take as many of the enemies with him as possible.
"It's raining outside huh?"
A voice disrupts the confrontation.
The rain keeps pouring down, creating puddle on the ground. It covers the entire ground, no place is safe from the rain, except inside.
"The ground is now forbidden."
Suddenly the disciples from the Heavenly Sword Sect starts dropping on the floor, all of them gripping their heart. Even the woman with the staggeringly high cultivation has a look of uncertainty. A feeling is reaching inside her.
"The water is poison."
The rain water that is. Falling on the ground is a death sentence, standing in the rain is also a death sentence.
"You are-"
Master Fan Ai has a look of surprise. How could a man with such a low cultivation-
The shabby looking pub owner walks out in the rain.
"The Poison Sword of the Heavenly Sword Sect, Shao Li!" Fu Rong finishes Fan Ai's words for her, because at that moment, Fan Ai could not talk.
"It's me. The outcast who you ordered to look after this shabby pub." Shao Li turns toward his tough senior who previously punished him for his shady way.
The rain keeps pouring down.

Obligate of a Self-Ordained Sorcerer
Come join the Discord! It was a typical late-night friday for Mara, secluded in her apartment in front of a digital expanse, relentlessly mashing code into a keyboard. An introverted workaholic, but this was what she wanted - what she had strived so hard to achieve. So why did she feel so lost? Her life was productive, comfortable, satisfying. Plenty had it worse but she still felt... ungrateful? Stunted? The right word escaped her, but she could feel the general revelation settling upon her. With it came a choice that would set events in motion far beyond the meager scope of a 'New Game+'. So taking an intrusive portal to god-knows-where, Mara will come to find that her new world offers boons and banes with equal abandon. Magic, skills, and unforgiving difficulty. For a frail human shut-in, finding herself stranded in the middle of a sprawling dungeon was one of the least desirable outcomes. Food and water would be the least of her problems, why oh why couldn't she just get summoned by some pervy king to slay a demon army or something? This is a story of magic and adventure with skills and stats galore. A litrpg / isekai epic that I've been inspired to make after years of wonderful works like "So I'm a Spider," "Rimuru the Slime," "Azarinth Healer," "Negima!?," and plethora of other isekai and fantasy novels and animes. Special shout-out to Douglas Adams, a big influence on narative humor that's had a non-insignificant effect on my writing style. I hope you enjoy joining Mara on her journey as I attempt to scratch the itch they left behind.Chapters target 3-6k~ words. Though I'm personally aiming for a chapter every couple weeks, I think I can at least promise one a month with how busy work's been. I made a Patreon due to requests, if you'd like to support me there I'll be using it to fund artwork and RR ads for increased exposure.
