Chapter 3- Xue Lier and level up

One year has passed, and I'm now 11. Whilst laying on the ground under the big tree in our backyard I heard the voice of our family's maid Thea call out to me "Ryuk your father wishes to speak with you."

"Ok, thanks, Thea where is father?"

"He's currently in the guest room speaking with the Xue family."

'Xue family? I can't remember them at all.' While thinking which family was speaking with father I had arrived at the guest room where I saw a middle age man I presume to be the head of the Xue family talking to father, at his side I noticed a beautiful and young lady I'd assume to be around my age.

"Oh Ryuk you've come, sit down we have things to discuss, this is the Xue family." I sat down beside father and politely decided to greet this so-called Xue family, "hello senior how do you do?" I bowed respectively whilst saying so. "Hey, brother ling this is my son Ryuk, he is 11 years old this year. Isn't he a good looking man brother ling haha" father said while laughing, I assume to set a joyous mood although I can't guess why.

"Hmm like father like son I suppose." While 'Ling' said so I looked towards the girl next to him. "This is my daughter Xue Lier, she's turning 12 within the next 2 months so I have come to give a formal invitation to her birthday as she is your fiancé."

Xue Lier started to blush which made her look comically like a tomato while I had to struggle with the urge to not choke. Just to clarify we were on the same page I asked "Eh.. fiancé? what do you mean by that?"

"Just exactly how I said it, Xue Lier is your fiancé."

".....EHHHHH seriously?" 'now I understand my father's mood...'

"Yes."

"Does she even want to marry me? I mean does she even have feelings towards me?"

"No, at least not yet at the moment, but don't worry you two will be sent to the same academy and will be with each other all the time so you guys will turn out alright, right Xue Lier?"

"Y-yes father I will do my best to love him... eh, n-n-no I mean I'm gonna marry him right so."

'....Tsundere, great...'

"Are you ok with this Xue Lier" I just want to clarify that she isn't being forced into this.

"Please call me Lier and yes I would like to marry you."

"Okay, I will do my best too hehe" 'I mean although she's young at least she seems nice enough and I don't have any issues with her so sure what the heck, let's marry.'

"Ok then brother Bert we will be off now, Xue Lier say goodbye to your future husband."

"Ok then Ryuk I will see you at my birthday in the next two months," she said followed by a polite bow before leaving.

"Father... I believe you have some explaining to do, if you don't want to get hurt" I decided to sport my most sadistic smile I've been practicing which seemed to do the trick as I notice sweat forming on his brow.

"Eh, ah an hehe, well you see you will be marrying that lovely young lady, don't you want to, she's quite pretty you know and kind too."

"That's not the point, I'm my destiny and that includes my bri..... *sigh* never mind what's done is done, I'm just gonna go in our garden to cool my head kay."

"Oh Ryuk, why not do some cultivating while your at it? now that I think about it I've never seen you cultivate before."

"Oh, it's because I don't need to cul... I mean I just prefer privacy, also right now I'm not in the mood since a certain someone decided who I will marry."

"Eh ah, ok, just... do your best kay, I've got to go now."

*the next day*

*sigh* what to do what to do? "UGHHH I'M SOO BOOORREEEDD" phew, that feels nice 'so anyway what should I do today?' hmm maybe I'll just fly around? yeah... let's go with that, "create skill: Flight."

I kick the ground and jump, imagining myself as a bird as I feel the wind against my body, "success, it just seems to easy" *sigh* after training myself with the flight skill I noticed a demon beast, "It looks like a tiger." I sped up and headed towards its cave and grabbed a medium-sized stone and put a nice coating of dark mist on it then *swoosh.*

*A few hours later*

"*Yawwnnn* man what a nice nap" as I was about to stand up somebody held out their hand to stop me.

"good morning Ryuk, did you have a nice dream? could it be that I was in your dream." I opened my eyes to the site of legs, 'strange' I thought as I proceeded to notice Xue Leirs face and decided to go back to sleep. "why are you going back to sleep?"

"Well it's not every day I get to sleep in the lap of a beautiful girl that smells just as good so why wouldn't I use this opportunity?"

"Ehh... r-really, thank you, and ok you can stay there if you like." 'I can't with you blushing like that you'll make me blush too.'

I decided against my divine pillow and sat down beside her "so... what are you doing here?"

"Uhh I just want to see you"

"say lier, do you really want to marry me?"

"huh? well yeah, I want to, why, am I not your type?"

"no no, it isn't that, it's just I hate girls who only care about my look and status, so I'll ask, what part of me do you like?"

"W-well, I don't really know, when my father asked who I wanted to marry I didn't give him an answer because I didn't really have someone anybody I liked, later my father had a meeting here when I was still 10, then I saw you in this garden doing something strange, I watched you for like 3hours and you didn't even notice me, that time when I was 10 I saw your sharp gaze and fell in love with it, then when I saw your whole face I-i-i-i, I fell in love with you, you may say that I only like how you look but there's this feeling inside of me I've never had before that makes me want to talk to you, want to see you, and want to get close to you. Then after my fathers meeting and we arrived home I told father everything, I told him that I'd fallen in love with you at first sight, and I told him that when I grow up that I wanted you to become my husband, even though I'm still young and even younger at the time, I fell in love with you, then after all through all this time, there have always been nobles that wanted to marry me but I've rejected them because of you, and just when my father told me that we were going to your house I felt so happy, then when we arrived I didn't waste a second looking for you and asked your father immediately I he would let me marry you, he said yes which made me incredibly happy, this is the reason why Ryuk I hope it's enough."

*smooch* Ryuk kissed her directly on her lips 'wow her lips are so soft' "mmm" "mmm"

"since you're my fiancé I guess it's only fair that I'll take your first kiss."

*smooch* and I kissed her again, after separating I looked at her face and noticed that she couldn't take it and passed out, "heh you passed out, that isn't even my final form" I say chuckling to myself as I carry her into my room and waiting for her to regain consciousness "mm what, you're already awake my little princess" since I look older than her I decided 'little princess' is a fair name, followed by up with a kiss to her forehead which made her blush yet again.

"Y-y-youu k-k-kiissssed me again" haha she's like a tomato right now

"yep, so what? you're my future wife after all"

she smiled at me.

"My little princess when we grow up, I'm not only going to kiss you, i will take your virginity too."

"My v-v-virginity, w-what are you saying? we're still kids, I'm not ready yet, I'll give this to you when the time comes ok"

"Alright, alright I wasn't meaning now either, my cute Xue Lier." *smooch*
