《My RPG System》Chapter 22: Back to the guild

I couldn't help but scratch my head at that question. Based on everyone's reactions, they not only noticed my ridiculous rise in strength but my changes as well. I let out a sigh and explained what I did while we were waiting around. I started off with how I reached level 10 and i was able to get a class and a race upgrade to Mid-tier 1 human. I explained the benefits as well. i then went over my system store and what I could buy. I told them about the bloodline I bought and fused with. After wards, I showed them all my stat panel. They were all stunned silent for a moment.
Dad: "HAHAHA! By today you should be an official D-rank! Your daily missions have yet to be done. After we get done at the guild and head home, you better believe you will do 8 times the amount required. HAHA!
The others in the group were stunned again, with confused looks as well. Before they could ask, I explained that my system gave me missions to complete everyday, that got harder every time I leveled up. I told them I got increased stats when I completed them and the fact that my father made me do extra every time to get more stats. Despite the explanation, they were still shocked. i let out another sigh at the sight of this. I guess this couldn't be help. The rise in strength as well as my skills were, well, not normal. I decided to veer away from this get back to the matter at hand.
Me: "OK. It seems as if the chaos is slowly coming back to this area. So, this solution is either temporary if I just clear an infected area and will only be permanent if I clear the entire floor or dungeon or this will just be a temporary solution, and delay the rise in monster strength meaning we might have to find a permanent one. Either way, this will still buy some time. We need to head to the guild master an inform him. He will need to know. This also means that I will need to get stronger faster, especially this skill. if I can get it to where it can cover the entire floor, we should be able to see if it is permanent or temporary. the faster we know, the better prepared we can be."
Nick: "You are right. Let's head to the guild. Also, thank you, Aug. Without you, the problem will continue and escalate and eventually, the city would be in danger. Although we are no way out of the woods yet, we at least see some hope because of you. So, thanks. You all ready to go?"

Me, and the rest of us nodded and we all started the trek back down, towards the exit of the dungeon. A few minutes later we stepped out. man, I was glad to be out of there. As soon as I stepped out, all the tension seemed to leave my body, and it relaxed a bit. We immediately hurried toward the guild to meet with the guild master. As we got there, Nick went up to the counter and requested the person behind to tell the guild master we were here to see him regarding matters of the quest and the dungeons. The individual didn't tarry and rushed off. Moments later he was back with van Hugh in tow.
Van High: "Let's go to my office. We can speak there."
Once we were all settled into his office, he asked us to go over everything we encountered and discovered. Nick started off, explaining all the encounters we had and how the chaos affected the monsters as well as well as how e had to use the necklaces because the chaos was too strong. He went over the beasts and their power and what we encountered from the 11th floor and up. Nick detailed the encounter with the boss and how it was able to control the chaos element and how he could talk and what he said. For the last part, Nick motioned for me to speak.
I started off by saying how I discovered that light was an effective weapon against it. i also explained about my ability to create a skill every 5 levels and I reached level 13, so I could make one. i explained to him that I came up with an idea to clear the dungeon from the chaos, and created a skill that could possibly allow me to do so. I went over the process of how I made it and used. I then told him what happened and the after effects. Finally, I told him out thoughts on if it was temporary or permanent and that we had to get more information after I strengthen myself as well as the skill. I even showed him the description and effects of it as well.
After I was finished with what I had to say, the guild master just sat back in his chair with his hands folded for a few minutes thinking about what we just said. Granted, it was a lot to take in. I basically told him the situation was a lot worse than we expected then, I gave him hope. I imagined that if I were in his shoes, I don't know if I should be worried or hopeful. Finally, he looked at me.

Van Hugh: "Thank you all from what you all are doing. I know that I asked this of you, but thanks are needed none the less. Especially, you Aug. You are the one who identified this nasty problem. you also provided a solution, even if it might ne temporary. At this point, you are right. We need more information. However, without question, you have provided us much relief, hope and time. As thanks for helping this city and it's people, I will allow all of you to enjoy a 50% discount on all things you need to buy from the guild forever. Aug, along with this reward, you are allowed to buy anything from us from free during this situation. Also, I have recorded this conversation on a recording crystal. I will send it to the king and the royal family. I am sure that they will visit you as well to enlist your help. After all, from this conversation, you will be a major factor on if we can resolve this precarious situation.
Now, I have already heard back from a dozen groups. everyone of them have conformed that there is indeed something wrong with the dungeons. They gave the same details that you did the last time you were here. The monsters were stronger and the energy was attacking their minds. We recommended adventures form groups of at least 5 people with at least 3 C-rankers or above. So, despite the fact that the monsters were stronger, they were able to clear them. However, because we do not have many higher ranked adventurers, the dozens of dungeons we have here in the city will not be cleared so quickly. Until they are cleared quickly or the chaos is removed at least temporarily, there is a real risk of dungeon breaks. We cannot allow this to happen.
With your ability, you have been improving quickly. I want you to train for the next two days. Focus on improving that domain skill as well. I will have your parents and the rest of them clear the dungeons in the meantime. With their strength, they should have no problem clearing the dungeons. On Friday, if you have leveled it up enough, I want you to go into the dungeons they cleared, starting with the one you all cleared today, and use the skill to purify it. see if the effect is temporary or permanent. Report back to me about the results. We will take it from there. How do you all feel about this plan?"
All of us except my parents agreed. they were a bit hesitant and the guild master saw this.
Van Hugh: "Ah, you two are concerned for your son, right? I will have someone from the government to look over him. i will send them over tomorrow, right before you two are to leave. does that work?"
My parents looked at me still a bit concerned. I sighed. I knew how they felt, leaving me alone. I looked back and nodded showing that I would be fine. That finally got them to accept the guild masters suggestion. After the guild master gave them a time and place to meet for Friday, we left. Leaving the guild, my family and the others split up, but not before the girls gave me hugs with hungry looks on their faces. I shuddered and ran away towards home. Jeez, they were acting crazy ever since the dungeon. Damn you charisma!
When I got home, I decided to sit down outside and rest until my parents got here. I was sure they would want to speak with me. sure enough I was right, when they got back they joined me and started their lecture of sorts.
Mom: "Are you sure about this Auggie? We have never left you alone before and this time, we will be gone for two day. Will you be fine?"
Me: "Mom, I am not a child anymore. I will be fine. Besides, the city need you two. I am too weak right now. In order to help more, I need to get stronger. i can use these two days to do so without any distractions."
Once I said that last word, I knew I fucked up.
Dad: "Who are you calling distractions boy? Very well, I want you to do 9 times the requirement for your missions tonight. Stay up all night if you have to. Hmmph!"
I gave a groan. My mother chuckled, thinking it was funny.
Mom: "Don't be mad Auggie. Your dad is worried too. He is just too much of a hard head to admit it. HEHE, I remember one time when I left for a couple days to go on a mission, and when I came back he...."
She didn't get to finish. my dad quickly covered her mouth with a red face.
Dad: "I'm just joking kiddo. You just have to do the 5 times requirement."
He then dropped his hand from my mothers mouth. We then all burst into laughter, the stress from the day and what was to come disappearing into the air.
