《My RPG System》Chapter 16: System store and another skill

Satisfied from his massive CP growth, I smiled and got ready for bed. 10 minutes later, I was in my room sitting on my bed. I had to look into a certain function of the system in which I never had the time to do before. The system store. getting comfortable, i opened up the system store panel. On the top of the screen it said system store, and underneath had several tabs that displayed ranks from F-rank all the way to SSS-rank. However, only 2 ranks could be selected, F and E-ranks, while the rest were greyed out and could not. I guess I could only buy things that were at my rank and below. Underneath the tabs were items listed with descriptions of them as well as prices. There were quite a few, over several dozen. Below the items, the amount of points I had were displayed, which was 914. wanting to explore the items I could buy, I read through the items, starting with the F-rank tab. These were some of the interesting things that were available.
Mana/health potions: F-rank, restores 10 Mana/HP instantly and 1 mana/HP per second for 10 seconds. Cost: 10 points.
Body forging potion: F-rank, permanently increase physical stats by 1. Consuming more than 3 of this ranked potion will not have any effect. Used 0/3 Cost: 100 points
Wizards potion: f-rank, permanently increase mental stats by 1. Consuming more than 3 of this ranked potion will not have any effect. Used 0/3 Cost: 100 points
Berserker potion: F-rank, temporarily increases physical stats by 50%. Lasts for 10 minutes. After effect ends, enter weakened state for 20 minutes. Does not stack. Cost: 100 points
Lion bloodline: medium tier F-rank. Bloodline of a lion. Upon fusing with it, gain +5 STR, +3 AGI, +1 STA, +1 DEF
There were similar items on the E-rank tab such as the potions, but they were higher quality and gave better stats and recovery. the health and mana potions gave 20 health instead of 10 and restored 2 per second for 20 seconds. The body and wizards potions increased stats by 2 and had a max consumption limit of 4. The berserk potion doubled the stat gain but also doubled the after effects as well. the price for all these doubled as well. However, the thing that tempted me the most to buy was an E-rank bloodline.
Half-Incubus Bloodline: High tier E-rank. half the bloodline of an Incubus (normal). Upon fusing with it, gain +5 to all stats. cost 1000 points.

The cost was high, and I was only a bit less than 100 points away from being able to purchase it. it was a struggle to decide between purchasing the potions that increase my stats or waiting until I grinded enough points. I debated to myself for the next couple of minutes before I made up my mind. I decided to just wait and buy the potions later. My stats right now were decent enough and my daily missions would improve them. i would be able to go back to the dungeon in a few days as well. I could wait until then. Confident with the decision I made and expectant of the near future, I closed the screen out and laid down, already looking forward to the days ahead. I fell asleep a few minutes later.
The net morning during breakfast, my parents laid out a new training plan for me. During the morning, I would do my cultivation as well as my daily missions. They took away the time limit of two hours. Instead, I just had to get them done with the 5 times requirement by lunch. At 1 in the afternoon and after lunch, I would train with them, for an hour each. After that I was free to do whatever. With this new schedule, I immediately got to work after eating. I caught up with all of my elements except chaos, which I was not going to cultivate due to its extreme risks, so I started on my daily missions. They were the same as yesterday. I noticed that every time I leveled up, the missions would get more intensive. i didn't mind that though, as it would give better rewards as well, especially if I exceed the requirements. What can I say? It's extra stats. without even leveling up, I can get pretty strong, although it would take longer. I went at a slower pace while doing the same 6 rounds I did last night. i was able to finish an hour or so before lunch.
Daily mission VII: Complete
1. Complete 70 pushups (350)
2. Complete 7 minute of planks (35)
3. Run 7 mile (35)
4. defend against 7 attacks from an opponent at least 1 rank higher (35)
Reward: +8 Strength, stamina, agility, and defense.
Satisfied with getting a bit stronger again, i sat down and rest for a half hour while I pondered on my next task that I had to do. Since I reached past level 5, i could create another skill. I decided before that this one was going to be a genuine AOE skill. I already had a good damage dealer that dealt with a single enemy at a time. i just needed one that targeted multiple. I didn't have too much mana, so I couldn't create one that was too sophisticated. In the end I decided to go the simple route, and base it off other skills I read about in my other life. I put my idea into action, after i recovered enough fro the workout. I stood up, and closed my eyes. I imagined my mana traveling through me and out my palm, forming a sphere of mana. I imagined being able to adjust the size. After I formed it, I imagined throwing it into a crowd of enemies and have it expand and explode damaging them. Like with the other skill I created, bullet, I heard the notification of a new skill creation. I immediately took a look at it.

Skill created: Mana bomb
Mana Bomb: Level 1: Create a sphere of mana that, when thrown, expands and explodes damaging all enemies within range for 50% magic attack. Cost and range: 5 square feet per 10 mana spent. Cool down: 1 minute
I read the description, and liked what it said. i closed it out and went inside for lunch and then the afternoon portion of the training. The net few hours flew by. the training was hell with my Dad. he seemed to enjoy beating me up. every time he hit me and knocked me down, he had a stupid ass grin on his face. however it was fruitful. I started to grasp how to anticipate an enemies attack by watching their feet and eyes. my fighting intuition started to become better. near the end, i was able to dodge a couple and even able to counter attack. the training with my mother was not as bad, at least she did not beat me up. we went over how to avoid an opponents strike with minimal energy as well as striking at an enemies vital sots with precision.
After training with tem, I decided to use my free time to level up my new skill. I went to the yard and kept casting and recasting it. I forgot to tell them what I was doing so when they heard an explosion in their back yard, they came running, worried that something nefarious happened. Nope. It was just me. I explained to them what i was doing, and they lectured me again on crating a ruckus without them knowing. after that, i apologized and continued while they watched. At one point, they asked what skill that was and I told them. They just nodded with blank expressions. a few hours passed, and I stopped right before dinner. I was able to level it a few times.
Mana Bomb: Level 4: Create a sphere of mana that, when thrown, expands and explodes damaging all enemies within range for 125% magic attack. Cost and range: 8 square feet per 10 mana spent. Cool down: 1 minute
The 2 days that followed were much of the same, except for the skills that I grinded. the next night I leveled the bullet skill and the night after, the Gatling. I was able to get those to level 5. They were looking pretty OP already. It kinda felt like cheating.
Bullet: Level 5: Shoot a bullet of mana from the palm dealing 150% magic damage. Ignores 50% of defense. Infuse elements for increased effects. Cast speed: Shoot 5 bullet / sec.
Cost: 2 mana/ shot
Bullet Gatling: Level 5: creates a Gatling gun that auto-targets the beasts with the highest HP. Range: 50 feet. Firing speed: 10 bullets/sec. Cost: 30 mana. Duration: 2 minutes. Cooldown: 1 minute. Limit at one time: 2
The second night, right before bed, I took a look at my progress to see how my stats were doing.

Where Giants Fall
A fantasy LitRPG about traversing through worlds and slaying giants with nothing but a wooden suit and an army of treants. Nicholas Atkins didn't expect to wake up naked in the glowing woods. What he did expect was waking up to a hangover after last night's party- fortunately, that wasn't the case. Unfortunately though, he had worse problems to take care of than a headache. At first he blamed it on the alcohol; from what he recalled in Biology, glowing flowers didn't exactly exist in the realm of reality. However he was as sober as he could be, so next he blamed the drugs, but there was a problem- he didn't have the money to do drugs in the first place. When the fairies came, things became even weirder. Talks of climbing towers, magic tricks, and dinner were all on the table. Of course, dinner was the priority, but so was getting back home. However slowly, Nico realized that he might actually want to stay in this fantasy world. After all, he's had enough listening to Professor Paul's lecture on calculus- the swords and sorceries were just an added bonus. Still, staying in this new world has its own costs- and money is but one thing on that long, long list. Updated everyday except Saturday GMT+8 (Specific time varies by around 30 minutes). An Extra-Ordinary Story about Ordinary People
In a different world, a different reality, where ordinary people occasionaly have extra-ordinary powers for no particular reason, we follow a number of characters, trying their best to live in this strange yet normal world. We have our first character, a currently nameless but sentinent creature who happened to find himself in the body of a strange fungus after an unknown incident that robbed him of not only his former body but of his memory, as well. Secondly, we follow Smith, a high-standing man who doesn't even need to explain which Smith he is, on top of the world, yet human enough to meet said fungus. And thirdly, we have another nameless character, who is burdened by the ability to summon things that he doesn't want. A charming gang, who will (most likely) meet at some point. --- All and all, it's a twist on the common super-hero world, where all super-heroes have somehow dissappeared, but not the possibility for new ones. The series that feature the mushroom-dude are the 123 ones, the stories that feature Smith are the ABC ones, and the ones that feature our newest character, the summoner-dude, are the abc ones. Neat, huh? Also, just a word of warning? The 123 ones are kind wierd, and you can skip the first few chapters and go straight to the ABC ones without missing too much. But I'd rather you didn't, since i really enjoyed writing them. In ABC and abc, the format changes to a more typical form, with proper grammar and stuff. So if you dont like the 123, I'd love it if you gave the ABC a chance :^) Anyhow, I hope you enjoy it!
