"Ah, its finally done. I was right about Kita and Tsubuki being the only strong ones." Damion walked out of the colosseum looking worn-out.
Damion sat down in the waiting room after finishing his last match. Damion had won first place for the Adventurer Ranking competiton, he had received his rank on the spot after winning the finals. Now it was already late afternoon, he needed to rent a room at the Adventurer's Guild for the night before going on his quest. He had the benefit of having a 10% discount for a room for being a gold rank adventurer.
"I would like to stay for one night please." Damion looked at the guild's receptionist. People at the guild were giving him looks because news had already spread that he had won the ranking competition.
"Yes, here you go. Enjoy your stay." The receptionist beared a wide smile. Damion then procceded to his room.
"Hey Alvollas, you think I could learn that spatial magic where you put your equipment in like a sub-space storage?" Damion asked Alvollas who finally been summoned out by his master.
"You would need to find a magician who has a grimoire with that magic to teach you, I do not have a grimoire myself you see." Alvollas looked at his master who seemed disappointed that he would not be able to learn the magic
"But there is an item called a magic bag where you can fit many number of things even if they are large." Alvollas suggested to Damion who stared back at Alvollas.
"Can I buy one?"
"Yes, master I think it is possible to buy one here."
Damion had at least 600 gold in his pocket so he knew he might be able to afford one.

"Then i'll get one tomorrow while searching for other equipment." Damion decided to buy one as there could possibly be a lot of loot for quests. After deciding, Damion and Alvollas both went to sleep.
The next morning....
"Come to my store this magic bag can store up to 70 large items, its only 200 gold!"
"No no, come my bag can store up to 100 items for only 215 gold."
Damion was looking through the market for equipment before he went for a quest but he felt like he was forgetting something. He shrugged it off as nothing important when he finally found a magic bag to his liking.
[Appraisel activated]
"Well its good a magic bag that can store up to 170 items. How much?" Damion looked at the shopkeeper.
"280 gold! Nothing less." The shopkeeper did not want any bargining. Damion smiled under his mask as it was actually a good amount of money for such a good bag.
"Okay i'll take it." Damion gave the shopkeeper 280 gold and took the bag.
Damion went to the Adventurer's Guild to find any lich quest or anything related to the undead.
Tabark ruins--Several skeletons spotted walking near the misty ruins [Silver Rank Tier 1] Quest
"Perfect!" Damion found the perfect quest. If skeletons are found, there must be a lich raising them.
"I would like to accept this quest." Damion pushed the quest paper towards the receptionist.
"Are you not going with a party? Skeletons are dangerous monsters" The receptionist looked at Damion with worried eyes.
"I will go solo, no one else." Damion stared back at the receptionist.
"Uh, well since you are above the required rank for the quest. I will approve of you taking this quest." The receptionist used her stamp on the quest paper while talking to Damion.

Damion then left the Adventurer's Guild to Tabark Ruins, he was given a map to navigate to where the ruins was.
"Well we're here." Damion could see the ruins but it was slightly covered in mist. It was 2 hour of walking to get there.
"Alvolas do you sense any enemies?" Alvollas was summoned out by his master.
"I can sense a powerful mana in the center of the ruins, Master Damion. It could be a Lich like you said." Alvollas informed Damion.
Damion tried to conceal his presence before entering near the ruins.
[Concealment activated]
Damion sneaked around the ruins, he counted at least 60 skeletons, all with armour and weapons. Damion could not find the Lich but he was sure that they were coming out from a tunnel from the ruins.
"So let's do this first." Damion readied his sword and dagger to attack.
[Greater strength activated]
[Heightened senses activated]
[Shadow Step activated]
[Elemental enchantment: Fiery Dual Dlades activated]
[Telekinesis activated]
Several skeletons heads were crushed by telekinesis and the element of enchant gave continous damage as poison strike did not work on undead enemies. In 20 minutes, Damion had destroyed all of the 60 skeletons in Tabark ruins besides the Lich.
"Who dares to disturb my army?" A skeletion at least 3 metres tall came from the tunnel underneath.
"I feel a deathly aura from him, Master Damion." Alvollas observed from a safe distance concealing his presence to detect any other enemies in the vicinity.
"Were you the one who destroyed my minions." The Lich gave a deathly stare to Damion who said nothing.
Damion felt no fear, only excitement against a strong opponent. Damion used appraise to judge the Lich's strength.
[Appraisel activated]
[Ezra The Lich: Level 68 Class Necromancer]
Damion smiled when he looked at the level of his opponent. Ezra was intrigued that the mortal standing before him had no fear.
"I will personally rip you apart and make you my slave." Ezra roared while grabbing his Scythe.
[Greater strength activated]
[Heightened senses activated]
[Shadow Step activated]
[Iron Skin activated]
[Elemental enchantment: Fiery Dual Dlades activated]
[Telekinesis activated]
[Mind-read activated]
Damion had activated almost all his skills at once. He knew that the first to move would have the advantage. Ezra's attack was unable to touch Damion who was able to read his opponent's attacks. Damion striked at the right time with the use of telekinesis to move Ezra's arm to miss his attacks then full strength with his technique, flowing strike to smash off Ezra's ribs and arms.
"Huuu" Damion was using a breathing technique he made himself to reserve stamina and strength.
"Ha ha, you seem like an interesting mortal" Ezra was down but he was still talking
"ʖ𝙹リᒷ ⍑ᒷᔑꖎ" Ezra's bones started to piece together again. Damion was shocked as the Lich stood back up.
"It will take more than that to take me down." Ezra pointed at Damion
Damion had a deathly glare at the Lich. His eye pupils turned like a starving wild beast in hunting. The Lich sensed bloodlust from the mortal, it was bloodlust strong enough to kill a man.

Madness Led by the Hands
‘Great, no… splendid. It was for naught.’ ‘Naught? Depends. If your desire is to send an army of killers our family’s way, yes indeed. If it’s plain survival you seek, then no.’ ‘They don’t coexist?’ ‘What… don’t tell me you’re still all groggy from the fall. Perhaps in novels, but real life is much tougher–––many more times a drag than anyone can possibly imagine. If dusty history is not a reliable teacher for you, then the pandemic surely took that place. At least that one has the advantage you needn’t be literate to savvy how reality always trumps imagination.’ ‘Whatever you say, whatever you say. So… what now?’ ‘Now? Isn’t it obvious? Now we shall survive. And live a good life.’ ‘Ohh… pretty much everything here has something against this little weird wish of ours. Might you consider?’ ‘Then pretty much everything here is a goner.’ ‘Hm, I don’t like the sound of that. Too much trouble, you see. I’d prefer laying low somewhere safe.’ ‘…nobody told you it’s mutually exclusive, no–––or did you forget about that too?’ ‘Fine, then I wish my future enemies all the best.’ ‘They are undeserving of your pity.’ ‘Of course not. That unlucky bunch won’t ever comprehend the reason behind their demise. Just let me smoke in peace and offer my condolence in advance.’ ‘Idem, let me study alchemy, unobstructed by all, if possible. This also includes you. By the way, are you sure you smoke to offer condolences? It seems like an excuse to me.’ ‘I-it is none. Plain truth, you see?’ ‘Seriously, why did I even ask...?’
