《Ninth World Lia's Struggle》ch 26

Oh, you have to be pulling my leg. Really, I aid people in need like a good citizen and end up in an awkward situation where I am being pointed at with a spear and a sword. You people should be thanking me for the love of the gods! whatever might as well put my hands up and try to fix this misunderstanding. I mean, all things considered, this guys must be really tense. Looking at things from their perspective they were in a life or death battle when suddenly a random girl came in and saved their sorry asses with superb skill and speed. What, let me compliment myself a little. Anyway, let's try and defuse this bomb.
"Hey, guys, calm down, I came to help, no need to be so tense"
Both of them wore a nasty expression, a mixture between anger, disgust and perhaps a tinge of, lust? I would rather not deal with them and be on my way thank you very much.
"shut it. We will not fall for such a stupid ploy, we know you are in cahoots with this bandits"
Wait you wot? I had to contain those words with all my might to prevent them from escaping my mouth. What did this guy smoke!? and in that line of thought where can I get some, because if he isn't high as a kite he is bat shit crazy! Where the hell did he get such a stupid idea as me working with this hooligans!
"you can't be serious, I got rid of them and you are accusing me of-"
"I said shut it! you knocked them down, it's obvious you didn't want to harm your partners in crime, now drop your weapons or we will attack!"
Wow rude, interrupting someone mid-sentence really and is he trying to intimidate me!? These guys really, they are lost in their own little world, one that is giving me a mighty headache. As a matter of fact, I can feel my eyebrow and the corner of my lip twitching like crazy. Fine if you people will be so unreasonable I might as well leave you guys to do your thing sheesh.
"Am just going to be on my way. Tch, a thanks would have been-"
"We can't let you go! you are working with the bandits that makes you a criminal as well!"
The other guy interrupted me while getting in my way. You can't be serious, these guys are too damned dense, fine, I can already feel my blood boil from the anger I have been representing. I will give them a good old beating, see if that fixes their heads, that is assuming they have anything in there!
"Move or I won't be responsible for what will happen to you"

One last chance, take it or leave it dumbass. To tell the truth I want him to ignore my words despite the fact I said them with the most threatening voice I could muster. To my delight, he did ignore it and attacked me. You done goofed! in a second I delivered a punch straight to his face, the feeling of his nose breaking under my fist was a bit gross but delightful nonetheless I can feel the stress these two idiots have caused me banishing from my body.
"Now that you know who you are messing with will you get out of my way or would you like a few more broken bones before that, I don't mind"
Those words came out with a domineering tone and a grin. Am sure that in this peoples eyes I look like the devil herself. How can I be sure of that? well, their legs are shaking.
"ah! I forgot presenting myself, my name is Amelia, a D rank adventurer, here you can check my adventurer card"
As I said that I fished out my adventurer card from my pocket and showed it to everybody present. The guys from before looked at it in disbelieve for a few seconds before their angry expression came back.
"as if we would believe your lies! we are D ranked adventurers ourselves. You must have infiltrated the guild to give information to you bandit boss. That's why you are D rank despite your strength, but I will not be fooled by the likes of-"
Go spout your nonsense to your mother damn it! My anger was finally over its peak, in a fit of rage I broke the poor bastard's knee with a kick before delivering the knockout punch straight to his face. His friend, the one I had the pleasure of breaking his nose looked horrified. His mouth opened perhaps to spout more nonsense, however, before he could, I knocked him out with a liver punch. Get wrecked kid!
"I am not this violent normally I swear, it's just that this two idiots got on my nerves. Either way, I will be taking my leave, sorry for the mess"
Those words were directed at the merchant that had his mouth wide open in disbelief, his daughter's eyes shone with scary fervour while looking at me. I waved at them and began walking again towards my destination. Guess the cliche won't happen this time around, not to mention that by the looks of things they were going the opposite way I was. After a while, I turned my head to check on the carriage one last time. It was already on the move so I guess everything is fine now. Just as I started to relax I heard a powerful roar from a beast, it was so loud I got truly scared. Looking around for a while I heard the roar again, but this time I realised an embarrassing truth, it was my stomach. I am hungry!

The hunt is on! with renewed spirit I dived into the forest on my right and began looking for something to eat. Soon enough I found some berries, they had a nice pink colour so I took a few and began eating while searching for something else. Little did I know the damned berries had poison in them! just as I started eating the last one I felt a horrible stabbing pain in my gut. Well, another horrible stabbing pain in my gut, the first one was due to hunger, hehe, but that's beside the point now! It hurts! I began pumping mana into my overload and reinforced my gut. A minute or two afterwards the pain was gone, at least the one caused by the poison that is. At that point, I made my mind, not more eating plants I find around, meat, I want to hunt and eat meat.
Just as I began to throw my mental tantrum I saw what I was looking for. A dear like monster stood not too far away from me, perhaps twenty meters or so. Its antlers were a little intimidating as the shimmered with a metallic lustre, getting stabbed by those would hurt like hell. I prepared both mentally and physically for the hunt. First I lowered my posture and drew my trusty minokens. Second I began to pump mana to my legs reinforcing and strengthening them as much as I could. Finally, I broke out into a sprint towards my pray. Maybe just maybe I had gone a little overboard since it only took a single second for me to collide against the deer-like monster stabbing with both weapons.
Meat! just that single blow was enough to kill the poor beast, though I will admit I didn't get scot-free either. That doesn't matter though, my cheat-like soul ability fixed me up right there and then so it's all good. Now the problem is cooking it. I mean I guess I could eat it raw but I kinda don't want to. Starting a fire is a bother too, luckily I have a minoken that can ignite things. What? it's a cursed fire so I shouldn't? I will worry about that when it's too late, procrastination is the best. Picking some sticks from around the place I set them on fire with Pyrka and began cooking. Not too long after it was ready and I had a feast. The cursed fire gave it a strange flavour I must say, it tasted a bit sour but in the end that only made it tastier in my opinion. Side effects? I didn't see any so it's all good.
After lazing around for a while to digest the food, I picked up the metallic looking horns and got back on my way towards the village. Why did I pick up the horns you ask? well, they might sell for a few coins, am still in need of money remember. I walked and walked, the road that used to be right next to the forest began to bear left into the plains. After another three hours of walking the sun had started to set. In my mind, I knew there was still about four to five hours of walking remaining but to tell the truth I didn't feel like walking in the dark of the night. I also didn't feel like camping without any camping equipment, so what other option do I have? Well sprinting like mad of course.
I made it! I almost fell to the ground wheezing with every breath. It took me one hour at full sprint and to tell the truth I feel like dying. I took my time to regain my breath before walking into the village. For now, my priority is securing a place to sleep. Asking around I got directed to the only in this village has. Well, I call it an in but to be more accurate its a family that rents a few rooms of their house to travellers. It was cheap too which is a plus in my book. I asked about meals and so on, thankfully they also cooked for their residents and without any reservations, I asked for a large serving. What? am hungry, sprinting for an hour straight is draining, especially if you are burning mana to keep your body from collapsing! I ate a lot, and when I say a lot I mean it. Of course, I paid for it all, the lady that cooked seemed delighted to have someone eat as much of her cooking as I did.
Not long after I finished my meal tiredness settled in. With heavy steps, I dragged myself to my room, cleaned my sweaty body with a wet towel and a bucket of cold water and fell like a log on the bed. Today was a rollercoaster of a day, to say the least. I hope tomorrow is a little calmer, I would like to enjoy a stroll around the village, eat some of the local cuisine, kill some orcs, the usual. With these nice thoughts, I drifted off to sleep.

There exist many worlds out in the universes. Within the Devine realm, the Gods manage each and every world carefully. That said, the worlds outnumber the Gods since there is an almost infinite number of worlds. Thankfully, every world doesn't need a God to work properly. Though, some worlds are in desperate need of some due to monsters or demons causing damage to them. To help isolate them and save the worlds, the Gods created a plan. The plan gives each world a rank that shows the danger level of the world. The plan also ranks each God depending on how powerful and wise they are. Then, each God gets assign to a world that matches their ability and rank. This said the Gods are unable to interact with the world directly. They can only do a couple of things, which none of the actions can save the world. Due to this, the Gods bring Heroes to their world so that the Heroes can save the world. The Heroes come from other worlds that have passed away. The plan picks out Hereos and then the Gods train them so that they are prepared to save the other world. Within the realm that the dead goes to for judgement, a person stands in line with a soul so bright it might be mistaken for a God. Later, this person is known as the Devine World Savior, though, if you would ask him, he will only say... "Huh? That was a low-ranking world. It was extremely easy!"
