《World Jumper》Chapter 26

"I thought you had died during the war?" Jet looked at Zenobia.
"I was gravely injured, and we don't have time for a chat," Zenobia said, getting to her feet.
"You're in no shape to be walking." Jet saw blood now running from Zenobia's side.
Zenobia laughed at Jet. "You're a good one to talk. I hadn't realized you were in such sad shape. The walk must have been brutal." She staggered towards Jet and stopped face to face.
"Thought we didn't have time for a chat."
"We don't. This may hurt a little. I'm giving you my power to save Rachael. My power may overload your body, so you will need to hurry to her." Zenobia put her nose to Jet's forehead.
Before Jet could protest, he felt her power rampaging through his body. Zenobia's body started to disappear into sparkling white lights. Jet shook his head after Zenobia disappeared. 'I don't feel any different.' He pulled at his magic and found there were two different types.
'How does your small body hold all this magic.' Zenobia spoke in Jet's head.
"What the." Jet looked around for where the voice had come from.
'With the magic flowing through your body, why didn't you try healing Rachael?' Zenobia wondered.
'Are you in my head?' Jet sent his thoughts towards Zenobia.
There was a long silence before Zenobia spoke again. 'Jet hurry, Rachael doesn't have long from the look of your memories.'
Jet could feel her worry for Rachael vibrate through his body. He turned and started back towards them. 'Rachael, hang on, I'm coming.'
After walking for some time, Zenobia started to talk again. 'Jet, you need to hurry.'
'I know, but my body won't cooperate right now.' Jet tried to pick up more speed.
'I know you're in pain. I can feel your pain now. However, it is not easy to keep our magic separate. I am trying to keep it from merging.' Zenobia's worry leaked even more into Jet's mind.
'You can just use my magic then. Don't I have plenty.' Jet added.
'Sorry, but no, you can't heal. Jet your magic is pure destruction. Not only that, you are obviously from another world. You do not use the same kind of magic as this world.' Zenobia was in awe of Jet's magic.
"Jet, what are you doing?" Relo asked, walking over to him.
"No time to explain. Help me get to Rachael." Jet's voice was edged with urgency, and when Relo got close, he threw an arm around her shoulder.
Relo didn't even hesitate and helped him get to Rachael. Once Jet was close to Rachael, he asked Zenobia. "What do I need to do." He asked aloud, forgetting Zenobia was in his mind.
'Put your hand on Rachael, and I will help guide my magic to her.' Zenobia explained.
Jet grabbed Rachael's arm, "now what."
'Her chest Jet. Near most of the damage, bones may not be able to be fixed. But the internal injuries from your memories looked bad. So I need to heal the important parts first.' Zenobia stated matter of factly.

"Got it." Jet said, removing the cape off Rachael. Then without hesitation put his hand on the slash across her chest.
"Jet, what are you doing?" Relo asked in horror.
"Not now, busy." Jet replied a little too harshly.
Relo was about to protest when Jet's hand started to glow. Jet watched as Rachael's body began to nit itself back together. After a few seconds, she was visibly beginning to breathe better. Then Jet realized that her hair had started to change color as well, to light green.
"Jet, how did you?" Relo fell to her knees next to Rachael.
Then they both watched as Rachael's eyes started to flutter open. Her eyes were now a foggy white. Relo was so happy she had tears going down her face. As for Jet Rachael noticed his tired look with his hand between her boobs. The next thing Jet knew, there was a scream, and he felt a slap that sent him face-first into the ground.
Relo grabbed Rachael up in a hug. "Think goodness, your all right." Relo cried into Rachael's shoulder.
"Relo, that hurts." Rachael cried out.
Relo let go of Rachael "oh, I'm sorry."
"Well, you knocked Jet out. That wasn't too nice. He did just help you." A small Zenobia sat watching the girls.
"Who?" Relo started.
"Alex." Rachael leaned forward, grabbing Zenobia in a hug. Then let go when pain shot through her chest.
"Careful, your bones are badly damaged." Alex gently jumped off Rachael.
"Hold on. You look like the statues of the beast Zenobia." Relo finally came to her senses.
"You were still a baby last we met, Relo. You look so much like Kikly." Alex swished her tail around.
"You know Grandma?" A surprised look on Relo's face.
"Of course, I used to live in the castle. Kikly was such a..." Alex couldn't find the words for that woman.
Relo smiled and giggled. "Yeah, that's a natural view of Grandma."
"So, what have you been up to all this time? Also, why are you so small now?" Rachael finally got her breathing where it didn't hurt to breathe so much.
"Not much, been dying for almost sixteen years. As for my size, I am dead now. Well, in a way, I'm dead. This is just a magical replica of my previous body." Alex got up and started walking around to show off her tiny body.
"What do you mean, magical replica?" Rachael asked, confusion written all over her face.
"Magical replica? What do you mean dead?" Relo asked also.
Alex looked over to Jet. "Well, Jet, the kid you knocked out right there." Alex nodded towards Jet. "I gave him the last of my magical energy to save Rachael. In the process, part of my soul was attached to his."
"How did you know we were here?" Rachael asked.
"The smell in the air. I knew one of the royal family was here. I didn't know which one of you until I looked through Jet's memories." Alex winced, remembering what happened to Ileana in the memories.

'It's nice that you're catching up with them. Has Rachael covered up yet so I can get up?' Jet was getting tired of being in the awkward position he fell.
'Nope, she is still not covered. No worries, I got a plan.' Alex told Jet. "Jet's starting to wake up Rachael. So please cover-up, so you don't have to knock him out again."
'Really, that was your plan?' He yelled in his head.
Rachael and Relo both looked at Jet, realizing they had forgotten about him. Relo moved over to the other side of him and turned Jet over. "Are you ok?" Worry apparent in Relo's voice.
Jet opened his eyes to see Relo hunched over him. He looked over to Rachael, who hadn't covered herself up yet. Where she had been cut had new skin and a long scar. What caught his attention was the sweat dripping off her body.
"How can you be sweating? It's cold." A puzzled look on his face.
Rachael had an odd reaction to Jet's question. She had started to giggle, and a bright smile showed up on her face. Jet had never seen Rachael laugh before, or smile for that matter.
"I forget how little you know of this world. After being healed as I did, will make the body run hot for a while." Then tears started rolling down Rachael's face. "Ileana's dead?" She asked, memories starting to catch up.
Relo went over to comfort Rachael and Jet got to his feet. "I'm going to hunt us some food." Jet started staggering to the cave entrance.
"It's too dangerous." Relo stopped Jet.
Jet turned around to find Relo behind him. "I can't, Relo." He looked over to Rachael. "I just can't." He whispered to Relo.
Relo hugged him. "At least take your bow with you, and be careful," Relo whispered and let him go.
Jet walked over to the wall and grabbed Fate. Then he realized World Breaker was also leaning on the wall. 'I'm sure I dropped World Breaker.'
Alex walked over and looked at the sword. 'Strange how did it get here then?'
Jet looked to Relo to ask, but she was with Rachael. So he shrugged it off and grabbed them both, leaving the Meat Cleaver behind.
After walking for about fifty yards, Jet sat on a log. Jet turned on his magic sense and looked around. There was nothing that he could see.
"Can I ask you something, Jet?" Alex asked.
"You can read my mind, so what could I tell you." Jet started to get up to head further out.
Alex walked up beside Jet and followed him. "I can look at your memories if you let me. But no, I can't tell what you're thinking. What I don't get is you."
Jet looked down at Alex. "What do you want to know?"
"For starters, you are taking this situation well." Alex pointed out.
"I've lost family before, and I can't afford to break down."
"Not that, the part where some of my soul attached to yours," Alex said.
Jet stopped and pondered what Alex had said. Why had he not questioned the merge with Zenobia? His world was so upside down now he stopped questioning anything that happened. Then a thought occurred to him. 'Since I've got to this world, I haven't questioned anything. No, it's been longer since my parents have died.' His thoughts were interrupted when a scream of pain cried out from Alex. Jet's first thought was they were under attack and looked around.
"Well, that hurt." Alex got back up.
"What happened?" Jet asked, wondering what would make her scream out like that.
"I looked into your memories of your parents. One has a powerful spell put in place." Alex winced while looking at him.
"Must be of their deaths, which explains why I can't remember that day. However, we best move. Someone may have heard you scream." Jet looked around for any sign of a person.
"Hey, there is an animal on its way. Must think I'm injured prey. Let's grab it and head back to the cave." Alex looked off to the east.
Jet looked over to see an outline of a wolf and smiled. "Well, an animal I have a grudge against."
When Jet got back to the cave, Rachael and Relo were asleep using his cape as a blanket. Jet went to work creating a place to bleed the wolf. He created an arm out of the wall to hold the wolf and then an earth bowl to catch the blood. Then decided to make the bowl drain into a hole he made underneath the floor. So he could seal the blood underground and not attract other animals to the cave.
'I'm back.' Alex said in Jet's mind so she wouldn't wake the girls. 'I found some of the herbs you asked for. Also, I didn't see anyone while I was looking.' Alex set the bundle of herbs down next to Jet.
Alex sat and watched Jet create a spit over the fire. He made it all out of rock and even had a handle to spin the meat. Then created a mortar and pestle to grind the herbs.
'So I thought your name was Zenobia?' Jet asked Alex.
'It was my name. But little Rachael couldn't say Zenobia when she was small. So I took a simpler name, and my other name became a title.' Alex explained while looking over at Rachael.
Jet froze when a memory flooded his mind that wasn't his. It was of a little girl trying to say, Zenobia. Before he knew it, Jet had a grin on his face. 'Thank you, Alex.'
'I think I owe you a few memories. I've looked at a lot of yours.'
Jet looked over to Alex. 'Not the memory, for healing me. There's no way I should've been able to move around this much.' Jet said, starting to work on crushing the herbs.
