《Spatial storage of all things ( Dropped )》Chapter 42: A mission with Ozz (3/3)

As the purple ball exploded in the hole, a chilling sizzling sound was the only thing that could be heard and rising purple fumes was the only thing that could be seen. ' That's quite scary, definitely don't want to be hit by that… Anyway, haunting march failed again. Why is every opponent of mine immune to it? But, does it mean it let me pass the first time? Hmm… whatever, now I also have to create a more reliable stealth method. '
As he was thinking, some shadows began to rise up from the purple fumes so Luke took Ozz and retreated a few meters back. Finally emerging from it, the tentacles landed then got back together. Contrarily to what one may think, the monster was actually hurt from Ozz's attack, as seen from its now smaller size. It's just that it made some tentacles absorb all the damage.
Apparently, the tentacles can only take a fixed amount of damage before being destroyed. If each tentacle was equal to a life instead, then Luke wouldn't dare say he was the most broken character of the universe. Thinking back, Luke couldn't help but laugh as to how he thought that the ogre's revival ability was a cheat.
Right now, of the initial 64, there were 18 tentacles remaining, yet, it didn't look like it was even considering to flee. Was it pride? Or was it just made like that, unable to retreat? Either way, the now whole tentacle monster disappeared from their fields of view, instinctively, Luke triggered the death exchange, choosing Stevenson, as he was the most useless of his extra lives.
Experiencing the darkness again, Luke just floated towards the panicked Stevenson who, immediately after seeing him began to cry in happiness " Lord you are alright! I missed you so much! It seems like I died but worry not my lord, my love for you will remain eternal! "

Staring speechlessly at Stevenson, Luke thought ' Never thought Road to misery had that strong of an effect, it even elevated me to the status of a lord in his mind! And this strange speech pattern... I will have to be mindful of the loyalty brought by the remaining Roads, I hope Lou won't be like that '
Not thinking too much about this, Luke simply touched Steve's forehead, who most likely had wild thoughts after this action. As he was about to express his love and loyalty again, his consciousness faded and his body, which was in a nice looking house began to meltdown, emitting a putrid smell while Luke reopened his eyes and saw that he was on the ground.
Sighing as his intuition saved his life, he got back up and saw that the monster was just hit by a purple fluid ball coming from Ozz. Not willing to waste that chance, Luke fired the remaining three dark lasers he could afford, effectively erasing the remaining tentacles of the monster.
Still shocked by his 'instant death', Luke thought about the monster's last move. He felt that this was maybe its trump card as it moved way too fast. He didn't blame himself for his death though as he was quite cautious if you forget the fact that he battled a clearly superior being. As he was beginning to get lost in thought, he felt Ozz slam into his chest, making the both of them fall.
Looking at him, he saw he was purple with fluid sliding down his body " Luke dead, Ozz scared " Now understanding that the kid was worried about him, Luke began to soothe him, just like he always did with his little brother... Then the system announced the end of the mission.
* Congratulations soldier Luke on rescuing three Shadow reapers members, 6000 PTS are awarded... An additional 3000 PTS have been awarded for destroying the enemy base... 7000 PTS have been awarded for killing a tier 3 enemy monster. You will immediately be teleported back to your monolith. *

After the system prompt, Luke and Ozz were covered by their respective colored lights as they were teleported back. Of course, Luke didn't forget to close his eyes and sense the whole process. Reappearing in front of the monolith, Luke and Ozz saw that they were the only ones present.
Turning to Ozz, Luke said with a kind smile " Well, you were very impressive in the mission Ozz, very fierce! If you don't mind, let's partner up for some more in the future. "
" ... Yaasss... Ozz happy "
Laughing at his attempt to talk normally, Luke said goodbye to Ozz and went back to his house. Once inside, he got back to training after a short rest, this time, hell-bent on finding a way to defend himself and make his space bind earn the qualification to be recognized as a spell.
Sensing the space waves around him, Luke began to try to compress them, the goal being to create a coat. A coat of space like Lion's coat of gravity. Teleportation and high speed movement will wait, as right now, all he wanted was a solid defense, which he once again saw that he lacked.

The Calculator - Supervillainess Time Loop
What makes a terrifying villain? Is it ruthlessness? Is it how powerful they are and how many buildings they can down in one blow? Is it how hard they are to kill, contain, or get rid of in any manner? Is it their knowledge of a hero’s true identity in a world where secrets must be kept? Or is it perhaps how they seem to be perfect in all their actions, defeating the hero at every step of the way throughout to the last one, only to humiliate them one last time before declaring themselves the winner in the grand scheme of things? Isabella Blair is perfect. She knows all your moves before you even make them. All your ambushes are faced with traps and she dodges all your blows like it’s child’s play. Catching her is impossible because she’s always ten steps ahead of you. She says she calculated everything, but she messes up in every fight. She loses far more than she wins, sometimes a hundred times for just one small victory. Yet, she is perfect. How is that possible, you may ask. That’s because she has the uncanny ability to return to the past whenever she makes a mistake. All that’s left in the end can only be what’s perfect if all the realities in which you’ve lost are gone, after all. And that makes for one hell of a terrifying profile.
