《Spatial storage of all things ( Dropped )》Chapter 37: shine

While observing the effects of his space cut, Luke realized that, like Lion who controlled gravity, space should also be used in a domain type way so that he could make better use of its properties. Space being literally everywhere, he should make use of this property.
Luke, while observing the space cuts ignoring distance to strike the target had the feeling that this spell, just like his space run was just bending space. Having understood this, he began to look for ways to sense space first. He activated both space run and space cut to move around while closing his eyes.
Remembering the faint feeling he had when he was teleported by the system, Luke focused on it while moving. After four hours of doing this, he couldn't really say that he sensed space but he at least somehow felt it. He knew that he couldn't act on it without mana as his spells need it to do so, though, his ability could do without. As he had never before tried to use mana without activating a spell, Luke had a hard time at first but got used to it, at the cost of half of his stored mana replenish.
Gaining a grasp of actively using mana without activating a spell, he began to focus again on the feeling of space he had. Moving his hand while using mana, he tried to affect the space near him. After a few hours, he actually felt like affecting it. Incidentally, this training increased his awareness of space. It was like space felt clearer, almost tangible when he concentrated on it.
Finally opening his eyes, he looked at his arm that was currently affecting space in wonder but was quickly stunned. He could see the space he affected. It was like waves, constantly undulating in a chaotic way.

Quickly forgetting about his astonishment, Luke put even more efforts on his attempt to bend space, which made the waves more frantic. Seeing this, he was ecstatic as he finally was sure of his achievement.
Then, because of his intuition, he sent some mana to his eyes. This brought him immense pain, so much that he almost thought his eyes were getting destroyed. But as his intuition still didn't make him feel danger or a bad omen, he continued. After two hours of this suffering, the pain gradually subsided and his vision, which he lost for its duration came back.
As it came back, and without even supplying mana to his eyes, Luke could see the waves that he saw around his arm, but this time, everywhere in the room. As he looked around in wonder, he saw that the waves, upon being at the center of his gaze were becoming slightly more frantic than those that were not.
Not understanding why he could permanently see space, even with his eyes closed, Luke decided to ask Lion...
Meanwhile, the system was once again ringing like crazy in the manager's head.
* Error error, soldier Luke is confirmed to be something else than human. *
" What!? Wasn't his planet a human world? Furthermore, there has been no record of it being in contact with any other entity... What if he is not human? "
* Unknown entity, soldier Luke is half human and half unknown *
" Hmmm... Could it be that some lord came to his planet or near it and affected him? If my memory doesn't fail me, there have been 17 cases of lords inadvertently affecting entire species just by passing near inhabited planets... Make a profound research on his entire species to see if there are any like him, if not all of them. "

* Acknowledged... Calculating... No results found, all other inhabitants are 100% standard humans. *
Frowning, he wondered " Is he maybe a descendent of some lord or something else? Anyway, what are his non-human part's characteristics? "
* One result found: Space vision *
" Space vision? There are three lords with space elements, but this thing manifesting at tier 2...! Could it be... "
..............
On Luke's side, Lion's ever-smiling face appeared on the blue screen " So, what is it this time? .... Hmmm! Your eyes! They are shining! What happened? "
Frowning after hearing this, Luke went to his bathroom and looked at his reflexion on the glass. As Lion said, his eyes were shining. They didn't change color but they were bright and released light, like dim, violet lamps. Getting back to his room, Luke still asked what he wanted to originally ask, beginning by roughly describing his experience.
" Earlier, you said to correct obvious things, which I did. So I began to try to sense and act on space, then, because of my intuition, I sent mana to my eyes. Then, after two hours of suffering, when I regained my vision, without mana, not only could I see space, I could even affect it. Why is that so? "
Getting more and more surprised the more he heard, Lion looked at Luke with a complicated gaze. " I will be honest with you, I don't know what is happening to you. The only thing I can tell is that you are either not human or just partially one. You see, I can sense gravity, like everyone who began pondering the laws of gravity, but seeing your own high-grade element is not something anything under tier 7 can do. You are either a descendant of a tier 9 or a special entity's descendant. "
Frowning even more, Luke asked " What do you mean by laws and special entity? "
" Laws are what defines the universe. These laws can be bent or manipulated by someone who understood them, that's all I know, I was told that I would have access to more pieces of information once I become tier 4. As for special entities, they are said to be special life forms who are related to the laws, making them all tier 7 at the very least. Once again, that's all I know. "
Sighing as the pieces of information, although useful didn't give him any answer, Luke thanked Lion and disconnected. Looking at the space waves around him, Luke put the matter aside and resumed trying to use space as defense, knowing full well that it would be way easier.

Cowboys and Wizards
Currently in queue: Episode 12 in progress. Set in the Aurora: Apocalypse universe.Updated every Wednesday. If it's not updating, I'm working on my other fictions. If nothing's updating, I ran out of whiskey. Be patient. Cowboys and Wizards is a hot mess of garbage that should not be taken seriously by anyone. It’s a vaguely-GameLit spoof of Isekai wa Smartphone to Tomoni (In Another World With My Smartphone) where the MC ends up in another world and fused with his crappy smartphone, mashed up with fantasy western elements. Dungeons & Dragons meets the Wild West in an alternate high-fantasy timeline. Guns & Goblins. Cowboys & Wizards. Locomotives & Dwarves. Don’t expect great writing, accurate numbers, or common sense. Hell, don’t expect anything — just relax and let it happen.
