* Congratulations on your victory soldier Luke. 8000 PTS have been awarded. Congratulations on creating a new spell. 4000 PTS have been awarded.
Please name it. Another newly created spell is in waiting for a name. *
Deciding to quickly be done with it, Luke thought shortly and sprouted ' dark laser and dark slash '
* Registered *
' Show me my spells '
* spells: space run tier two
dark blast tier two
haunting march tier two
dark slash tier three
dark laser tier three *
' I won't lie, having tier three spells while just being tier two feels amazing. Though, Lion this monster already had one, maybe two or three. All his attacks were too overpowered considering his stats... which I don't know of. '
Sporting a relaxed smile, Luke thought about his two spells that he now could use without Lion's ' help ' since they became his. ' I have about ten thousand dark blasts stored, which means I can only use them both nine times. ( because he saves a few for safety purposes ) Show me their descriptions '
* dark slash: a combination of a thousand dark blasts, compressed to make a slash following the trajectory of the blade. Extremely sharp and explode within the body of the target by the cut created.
dark laser: a combination of a thousand dark blasts, compressed to make a beam. Extremely penetrating and explode within the body of the target by the hole created.
System manager remark: a skill truly fitting your title *
Stunned for a second, Luke puked out loads of blood seeing the remark. He was really enraged already with the manager as he had an inkling the title came from him and now, the b*stard was even mocking directly.
Thinking back, he never had doubts about the validity of the system or the manager.

Actually, there were lots of obvious questions and doubts he had to clear yet they mysteriously never came to his mind... As quickly as these thoughts came to his mind, they dispersed in an unnatural and fast way...
Now, Luke began thinking about his fight against Lion. He learned lots from it and although he thanked him to tease him, he was really thankful to Lion. Willingly or not, he taught him lots.
First was the capacity of surpassing one's own tier. Not like his broken way of barbarically surpassing it but in terms of... qualifications? He had the feeling that he now embarked on the path he was missing to grow.
Luke wasn't sure if he was just too dumb or that something prevented him from thinking about it. Once again, these thoughts scattered away... He was once again thinking about his spells outreaching his tier and his fight against Lion.
Lion demonstrated an unnatural versatility in his use of his ability, spells and most likely also skills. Like, he understood them he used them accordingly. It was not to the point that it was flawless, but it was certainly much better than him.
He tried to understand his elements, beginning with space, yet he never tried to understand his ability and spells. As he was beginning to have serious doubts, his mind became blank and he fainted.
....
Meanwhile, the system was ringing endlessly in the mind of its manager. The latter wore a kind and proud smile as he muttered
" Already? Great! Now dispell the thought obstruction function on him. Sigh, this kid really has talent. After only being tier 2 for less than 3 days, he already began to break free... I can't wait for the time he becomes tier 4, by that time, he will be qualified to meet me, among others... "

Sipping on a cup of yellow liquid, his smile became even more prominent as he seemingly transcended the limits of space and time as he overlooked Luke's adventures up until now.
.,....
Waking up the next morning, Luke felt... clear-headed, like something heavy got lifted off his mind. Then, he thought back to what he was thinking about before he fainted and his eyes grew extra round. At that time, a screen appeared in front of him with Lion's face on it.
Looking at his still somewhat vacant look, Lion smirked and said " It seems like you are free now. "
Looking at the smiling Lion, Luke's thoughts spun and as he was about to fire questions like a machine gun, Lion put a hand forward and stopped him.
" I know what you think and want to ask, but, you need some patience, my friend. It seems like your system manager freed you but I won't go into details, yet. " Putting both thumbs up, he continued " First and foremost, I congratulate you on both winning against me and creating transcendental personal spells. I don't want to brag but I'm what you may call one of the most difficult opponents you could ever face. "
Seeing the impatient look on Luke's face, he sighed and said " Well, I know what you feel as I once had to experience this but even I don't know much. I mean, yeah, I have been aware of a few things others are not because of both my background and talent but as if by an unspoken rule, no one told me anything really important. "
Looking deeply into Luke's eyes, he said " There are only three things I can tell you.
Firstly, creating transcendental personal spells is one of the three major conditions to become tier 4.
Secondly, the kind of mind obstruction your system manager imposed on you was not something that was meant to harm you. To put it simply, as all system managers are tier 7 or 8, if they wanted to harm you, there would be no Luke existing in this universe. "
Frowning, Luke interrupted Lion and quickly asked a few things he couldn't keep to himself anymore " Then why restrain my mind, my ability to think, even more so when it comes to my evolution. I can understand about him not wanting me to be too curious about his system and himself, but, preventing me to think about my own evolution and situation is utterly ridiculous. "
Sighing for what felt like the thousandth time, Lion looked at Luke and said " These are questions I'm not qualified to answer, only your system manager, or who you may refer as your superior, is. As I said, there are only three things I can tell you and I already told you two. I would really like it if you stayed quiet until I finished as the third is something that you may really want to hear. "

“A great corruption is spreading. The people cry out for a savior. For a hero. For YOU! Come join the fight, as the chosen of World Tree! Receive the blessings of the gods, battle fierce monsters, and become the hero you were meant to be, in Arcanum Online!” It was the cheesiest commercial Ethan had ever heard, but the gameplay was enough to draw him - and thousands of others - to the fantasy world of Lazuros. It’s the sort of place that can really draw you in - a huge open world, a deep character customization system, and a feature that makes time pass slower inside the game, extending your limited playtime! It was a little strange, though. As if it was a bit too realistic for a game of swords and sorcery. The NPC’s seemed almost alive, most quests didn’t reset and monsters respawned slowly. Still, for all it’s quirks, it was a good game! Just a game. And nothing more. …right?

Leon hid a grimace. He was no soldier, he chose this. At least in a way. He chose to risk his life for profit. He chose to fight in a war he had no real opinion of. Hell he even chose to join this assault. There was a bonus in it after all. The room shook.

or, Deux Navires Passant dans la Nuit If you wake up in a new world, with only your memories of home to guide you, you have to trust the first people you meet. The first people Leah meets seem to know her - but not her. Leah is thrust into a fighter's role that does not quite suit her, and those who 'rescued' her do their best to help her fit in. They hint at a world that Leah can only vaguely understand without serious research and exploration, but how to do that research, when everyone believes her to be a local of this place, and too many questions might draw unwanted attention? And what about home? The more Leah learns about this world, the less she believes that she woke up on the right side of the bed - or more accurately, on the right side of the conflict. With magic being strictly regulated in her current "home," maybe it's time to uproot and look for a new set of allies... -- Displacement is a queer / lgbt bodyswap isekai: Leah Armande falls out of a Quebecois city into an unfamiliar fantasy world, and Leah Talesh falls out of her adventuring party's homeland and into an unfamiliar industrial world. The story follows both women as they navigate their new surroundings, trying at times to find a way home, at times just to pass for a local, and at times to actually make a life for themselves in their new world. Expect in-depth politics and worldbuilding, sapphic moments, foibles, and far too much time spent either in libraries or convalescing (or sometimes both).
