* The third quest day 1 is finished. The battlefield will be restored... calculating... 35 humans are still alive... for the next quest, you will be teleported to another CHG as you are a minority. *

With that, the charred forest disappeared and the only thing that remained was the usual brown ground.

As soon as the prompt ended Carl tried again to reason Luke "Luke! Did you hear that? 35 of us are still alive! That means there were 65 deaths! 65! That's 2/3 of us! Please, Luke! You know Steven right? He would never kill someone on purpose! please, Luke, we are already in a sore position! Don't make us use force, nobody wants that! " By the end, Carl was really nervous, Steven was on the verge of death. He does not care about Steven's death that much, but because if Steven died under his rule, he would lose all of his built up prestige.

" ... tsk fine, but I will take his arm! " As he said that, Luke cut off Steven's right arm with his dagger.

" Aaaaaaarrrrgghhhh... " Obviously, Steven screamed from the pain and then fainted. Luke, with the bloody arm of Steven which he discarded got up and left towards his tent. He did not get out until the second day.

Meanwhile, the others got busy tending to Steven's wound and looking back towards Luke's retreating figure in both fear and confusion. He was strong. So strong that they couldn't do anything even with all of their efforts. From the bits of information gained from Luke's shoutings, they came to know that Steven may have accidentally killed Sheila and this is what enraged Luke.

They were often seen together so they all inferred that they were a couple. Yet, once again, they just couldn't imagine Steven killing. He had that good of an image.

Carl, on the other hand, was sweating bullets. In front of Luke, he couldn't do anything but watch. He thought that he was the strongest yet he was so powerless he had to rely on the strength of numbers. Looking at Luke's tent he thought of something and made up his mind...

...

While the others were still shocked by what happened, Luke was joyfully appraising his act" I did quite good I guess. With this acting skill and the fact that every fight of mine ends with big explosions, I might be contacted by Michael Bay... sigh... it was quite a hassle tho "

Diverting others attention from the fact that the mini-boss mysteriously died, from the suspicious death of Sheila and from the fact that they weren't with the others most of the time resulted in Steven losing his arm. Poor Steven, he was a really nice guy but he... was mostly the perfect target. Thinking back, this was some incredible unfairness he suffered there but well, most of the time, ambitious guys can do worse.

That aside, Luke was thinking back to what the system said. It seems like this time, they were going to be teleported to another CHG because they had the fewest number. So up until now, trying to look good in front of others was a big waste of time. ' Let's just sleep, tomorrow is another day, will decide what to do with them then. '

....

Later into the night, Luke woke up from sounds approaching his tent. There were too many hurried footsteps for it to be a friendly visit.

He got up, readied his daggers and concentrated on listening to the noise outside. People were talking in hushed voices and thanks to his improved perception, he could tell they were nervous. Afterward, no footsteps could be heard anymore but his instincts kicked in and he used his spacewalk to dash out of his tent, which was blasted after he got out.

He then saw a few people surrounding the tent, looking at him in wonder and fear. He didn't talk as he knew it was an assassination attempt. He just quickly slashed all of his surrounding enemies, ignoring any cry, scream, or beg for forgiveness he heard.

Then he looked at who he killed. It was 7 persons. 4 of which he knew because of their relatively powerful abilities and the others because of their status as ' mages ' which was relatively rare. They came to kill him and he did not like this.

His act from a while back shouldn't have provoked this kind of reaction. Pity, fear and estrangement were things he expected but definitely not an assassination attempt. He began thinking on how it devolved into this situation and heard a branch cracking in the distance and when he looked over, he saw a stunned Carl.

He then understood it all. The strength he demonstrated before was unacceptable to the red-haired leader and he tried assassinating him. He most likely convinced the others with b*llshit like him being unstable and dangerous. It seems like he didn't have to wait until the next day to decide what to do of all of them. Carl kindly doomed them all. Of course, most of the people didn't have to do anything with this attempt but having to explain how and why people died would have been too annoying. So he began walking towards Carl who was too stunned and afraid to utter a sound and killed him. After killing Carl, he assassinated everyone else in the camp.

He was now by himself, having killed everyone else, something he didn't really want to do and decided to change his approach. In the next quest, he will appear like a cold unapproachable block of ice and demonstrate just enough strength to be treated highly, but not enough to make others fear him. If push comes to the shove, he will either wait until they all died or he will just kill them if no one of them has any use. ' Sigh I don't like mindlessly killing, that's why I wanted to integrate into a group somehow ' He shook his head and continued ' I may be destined to this? ' Luke quickly let the matter aside and decided to go back to sleep. In fact, he didn't want to kill too much because he feared a repercussion but he decided to face it like a man if there was any, but for now, there were none.

The next day, as he was eating his breakfast the system which was quiet up until now resounded

* All humans have been killed in your CHG... calculating... You will be sent to another CHG in advance *

' Well, that's it? No penalties, not even warnings or anything about the deaths? Hmmm... the system really doesn't care huh ' But he frowned. For the nth time since the system came, he was wrong and couldn't take the most efficient actions. He failed to read the situations, the people and system. Things were too much out of his expectations and he was flushed by the flow and could only reorganize, adapt and change his plans. That's not something he wants to continue.

Shaking his head, Luke waited for his teleportation. The violet light once again blinded him and he disappeared.
