In the VIP floor.

"Hey kid! The situation of the whole building is dangerous. Why are you still following us?" Officer Dole is worried about Liam who is following them.

"My friend, Ian Hanes, said that he is still in the first floor of the hospital and he is in a dangerous situation down there. He also said that the grenade had exploded in the main hall so some of the people there might have probably been injured or some even might have been... dead." Liam was quite serious and focused.

The increase in his intellegence attribute was really worth it.

Not only did it made Liam's mana regeneration faster but it also made him smarter, more focused, his mind being calmer and his thoughts being more persistent.

"Hey Derek! Should we go down immediately or should we wait for the back up?" Officer Dole asked his partner.

"All of the people inside this building is in a crisis right now... And a minute to those terorists means death for dozens of people in here. We should head down and not waste any second." Inspector Wright said seriously.

"Shit! There are many innocents there. Elevators can make us go down fast. I would start the shoot out by then." Officer Dole said.

"Every elevator in this building is connected to the corridor in the main hall. We don't know what danger would happen if they see us coming out from an elevator." Liam said also seriously.

"Right kid. I thought of that idea too. Let's go down the stairs then." Officer Dole was a bit embarrassed. He didn't expect that a mere kid would surpass him in a brain test.

They walked pass the elevators and moved quickly to the stairs.

But suddenly when they are finally closing in to the stairs...

DING!

An elevator opened and a handgun was the first one to come out from it.

"TERROSISTS! HIDE!" Inspector Wright shouted to Liam and his partner then he hurriedly moved to the corner of another corridor.

While Liam and Officer Dole is still running to the corridor, which is the opposite from the Inspector, a two well built man pointed their gun at them and immediately shooting them with bullets.

BANG! BANG! BANG!

Fortunately, they hid in the brink of a second.

"Damn it kid! I told you it's dangerous here. Don't you dare go beyond this corridor!" Officer Dole shouted.

"Sure but... can you give me a combat knife or a dagger." Liam requested.

"What!? Why!?"

"Uhm. For self-defense?"

Faint footsteps can be heard coming closer to them so they were slightly pressured.

"Hey Evan! In three seconds, were going to rain them with bullets okay?" Said Inspector Wright loudly.

"Yeah sure!" Officer Dole immediately responded.

He wanted to save people and even if don't want to he don't have a choice.

Inspector Wright likes to be in an intense situation. That is why he changed the type of investigation to the 'Strange Things' from the crime one.

"Three!" Inspector Wright shouted.

"Here! I'll give you this knife." Said Officer Dole as he gave a combat knife to Liam.

"Two!"

"Don't do anything stupid with it and safely protect yourself." Said Dole.

"One!"

"LET'S GOO!"

Inspector Wright and Officer Dole both got out from their hiding spots at the same time while pointing their gun at the two terrorist who is walking forward.

BANG! BANG! BANG!

The two guys quickly reacted as they kicked the door near them, then they ran and hid themselves there.

The two officers stopped shooting the men after they hid in two different rooms, then they also hid back to their hiding spots.

While the officers were reloading their handguns and while the two terrorist were still hiding and preparing to shoot bullets in the two opposite rooms, Liam sneakily glimpsed at the corridor where the terrorist were walking earlier.

The terrorists finally got out. They moved only their torso out while pointing the guns where their enemy was shooting earlier but they didn't saw them. They only saw a guy who looks like a student in a university but he is standing and holding a knife in his right hand so they aimed the gun at him thinking that, he too is another enemy of them.

The two officers are still busy hiding and they were only getting more focus to shoot the terrorists so they didn't know what was happening to their surroundings.

Liam saw the terrorists aiming the gun at him, he was stunned for a bit but he didn't care and still continued to do something.

He looked at the terrorist who is in the door on the right side of the corridor, then he moved his right hand upwards and looked directly at the guy's head as he is going to do something to it.

"Accurate Throw."

As Liam said that, Inspector Wright and Officer Dole moved and aimed their guns at the terrorists.

And the terrorists also changed their targets from Liam to the two officers.

But before everyone could even shoot each other, A knife can be seen in the middle of them all so they were stunned for a bit.

And their halt made the terrorists lost one guy of them.

The guy on the right was deeply stabbed in his left eye and a tragic cry of that man rang throughout the entire corridor.

The terrorist that was pierced in the eye can't take the unimaginable pain so he fainted and fell to the ground, the all of them, including the last terrorist in the VIP floor and Liam hid in their own places.

The terrorist slammed the door of the room he's in and the officers went back to the corridor and leaned on the wall with a stunned expression.

"That was the knife that... " Said Officer Dole, then he glanced at Liam.

"I gave to you earlier... You little!" Officer Dole finished his words. He didn't know if would be happy or not about him doing that.

"That was a very accurate and strong throw. Where did you learned it?" Asked Inspector Wright.

"My father was interested in knives throwing when he was still an adult. He taught me to throw knives when I was younger." Said Liam with a straight face.

What Liam had told them is a half-lie. His father was really interested in knives throwing but he never taught him anything about it. He was only good because of his great skill from the system.

The reason why he lied is because he knew that the Inspector is only testing him.

The inspector wanted to know if what Liam did earlier was another power that he is hiding but he can't see anything about him lying.

Inspector Wright nodded, then looked at Officer Dole "Evan, Let's go."

They can't hear a movements in the door where the last terrorist was earlier so they thought that he is hiding inside the room.

They immediately moved in front of that room and Liam just followed them, then they stopped at the body of the terrorist who was killed by Liam.

Every operation room in a hospital can be seen in the VIP floor and even a chapel and a small gym can be seen there. Luckily, the terrorist is in the cardio room because if not, patients would be frightened or would be stressed to death.

Liam then stepped in front of the terrorist.

"Get your knife kid. You've just killed a man. It's not something that you can be proud of, but it's also not a lowly achievement that a normal person can do." Said Inspector Wright.

He said it not because he wanted to, but because he saw Liam shivering. He thought that he is nervous of the fact that he killed someone so he said something that would comfort him.

"Wait here for us okay? Protect yourself with that knife. We will arrest the last terrorist." said Inspector wright, then he started walking sneakily with Officer Dole towards the chapel where the terrorist is currently hiding.

Liam is truly shivering, but what the Inspector have thought the cause of it is the entire opposite.

He is shaking because he was in awe.

He just saw the man's stats by activating his Appraisal skill.

His heartbeat is going faster as time goes by.

He was still thinking about the things that would badly happen to him until something familliar rang inside his mind.

As soon as he heard the loud gunshots, he remembered the knife that the Officer gave to him and then he glanced at the man on the ground, then he crouched and immediately took the combat knife from his life eyes, followed by a disgusting sound of a flesh and blood.

The gunshots is still continuing and it looks like the last terrorist have no intention to surrender. He wanted to help them so he stood up and walked slowly towards the room.

Liam is in the door of the chapel and was walking inside, but when he heard a slight movement and felt a presence behind him he came to a halt.

Before he turned around, he thought that it was a civilian and he decided to get the person out of here because it was dangerous, but when he turned around to look, his body greatly shook and trembled continuously.

It was the terrorist who was on the ground just a second ago.

His left eye have a deep hole in it and is pouring down lots of blood, but his right eyes is looking directly at Liam's eyes like a lion preparing to eat its prey.

Liam was at loss. He was still shivering. His brain cells probably stopped operating for a second. His mind that was calm earlier became chaotic and is flooded by fright and nervousness.

How did this guy didn't meet death when he was stabbed in the eye? He sure have a high endurance but he can't take a knife in his eyes that was why he fainted, then he also lost tons of blood.

How can he still looks like he wants to fight Liam? He had absorb 6 points of the strength of this terrorist and is now 3 points stronger than him in terms of strength, but his endurance is lower than him by also 3 points so it will be a tie when they fight, but you can't forget about the guy's skills.

Liam immediately moved his hands in blocking when he saw the twitch on the legs of the terrorist.

The terrorist took a step forward, then Liam moved his body slightly downward to quickly avoid the attacks from his enemy.

He was so focused at the terrorist's body, then a moment later... he disappeared.

The terrorist have disappeared at Liam's sight.

Liam felt an air pressure when the terrorist vanished and he also felt a strong presence behind him.

As he turned around, a kick was already coming towards him.

Liam is currently leaning his back on the wall while enduring the pain in his hands and his stomach. The knife flew away when he was kicked earlier by the terrorist so he have no weapon anymore.

The terrorist is still looking directly towards Liam's eyes and now he is walking slowly towards him.

"SHIT."
