Chapter 14
Ragen opened the skill window for necromancy and read about the progress of his skill. With the higher level he could now summon up to 125 undeads. When he turned the defeated creatures into undeads he could now change them. He could choose to let them be like they were or turn them into Zombies, Skeletons, Wights or Ghouls. He turned some of the creature under him into ghouls and skeletons. The skeletons wore automatically rusty swords, spears and bows and the ghouls had long tentacles for their attacks. While he watched how his subordinate were observing their new bodies, he noticed a movement between the trees.
Around half a mile from their position started the trees to fall over. He heard loud steps and a roar. Something was coming and it was not friendly. He ordered his subordinates to take a defensive position, while he walked up to a small hill. The first thing he saw was giant head with lots of black fur. Then the face of the monster entered his vision. It was a giant gorilla?!? The Gorilla spotted its target and took one of the fallen trees. It aimed at Ragen and throwed the whole tree at him. He instantly dodged the tree and gave some orders to his underlings. The skeletons started to shoot at the gorilla while he ordered the snake to slow the gorilla down. While his subordinates followed their orders, he started to chant some spells onto his arrows and aimed them at the gorilla. While the arrows hit the gorilla, he activated [Appraisal].

He was surprised to see that much with [Appraisal]. The title Guardian of the forest was also quite interesting. His slaughter must have been noticed by this gorilla and he wanted him to stop. Ragen grinned. This was a perfect chance to test out his ability and perhaps he could even receive a new underling.

In the meantime, his underlings had started to attack the gorilla but they weren’t quite effective. Just the snake was able to slow him a bit down, but right when she was on his shoulder to reach the neck of the gorilla, the snake was caught and thrown away. When Ragen saw that his underlings were losing terribly he started to run towards the gorilla. The gorilla wanted to grab him, but he was faster and ran through between the legs of the gorilla. When he was behind the gorilla, he shot two fire arrows at the hollow the knees of the gorilla. The arrows hit and the gorilla went down in pain. While the gorilla was on the ground and confused the snake started to wiggle herself around his neck. When the gorilla noticed the change in the battle, it was already to late. The snake was around his neck and on top of the head of the snake stood Ragen with an arrow aiming at the gorilla’s head. The gorilla closed his eyes and waited for the last hit, but nothing happened. While he was wondering why he wasn’t dead, yet he heard a voice. “Pledge your loyalty to me and I will spare you. In exchange you have to follow me forever.” The gorilla didn’t know how he could understand this creature. He answered: “I have already lost human. If you want to kill me do it now.” He pondered serving a human. Was that possible? While he was thinking about this, the human answered: “I don’t want to kill you. Just submit and in exchange you will live.” The gorilla didn’t know how the human was able to communicate with him. The gorilla became curious. There was something about this human, that was extraordinary. Something that he hadn’t seen until now. The gorilla knew, that in front of him was somebody worthy to be his master. “Human, I the guardian of this forest submit defeat with my vow to serve you.” Ragen was pleased he had found another underling who was strong. While the snake loosened the grip on the gorilla and the gorilla bowed down in front of Ragen, he heard a ding sound.

Through all that slaughter and killing the creatures in the forest for the last days he became quite a bit stronger.
He talked to the gorilla and told him, that he needed to attend a training under his master Bane Firestorm. When he said that name, he was admiration the eyes of the gorilla. So even the gorilla knew who his master was. He then also told him that until he was at the training, the gorilla would stay at the goblin village. It would protect it and help them to subjugate the other villages. When they were finished talking, he went back to the goblin village with the gorilla. When they were around 200 meters away from the village, he heard them shout: “It’s a monster. Mommy help me!” He saw how they prepared their bows to shoot at the gorilla. In the last second Unoreth noticed his master and ordered them to stop immediately. All the goblins were amazed that their master was able to make such a monster into his underling they again bowed down deeply and shouted: “Long live our lord!” Ragen still wasn’t adapted to such attention and was bit embarrassed for a short moment. He asked Unoreth how everything was going and got the expected answer. They started successfully to cultivate the lands, but they had just begun. Also, the subjugation of the other villages was just at the beginning and they still planned on the perfect tactics for the different villages. He patiently listened to Unoreth and then said to him, that he would leave the gorilla to them. He also told Unoreth about his training which would start in two day from now. Unoreth nodded and then said: “My lord, I know you have to go soon but before you go please have a feast with us about your victory.” Ragen hesitated, but in the end decided to stay. The feast was a big occasion for the village, and they brought their best wine and food to him. On the middle of the village was a big amount of wood piled up and set on flames. While they ate some of the warriors showed their fighting style and entertained all of them. Even the gorilla laughed and had his fun. Ragen didn’t know when he smiled so much the last time and enjoyed the feast to its fullest.
After a long night he got up and readied himself for the short travel. At the gate waited Unoreth and his gorilla, they both were a bit sad, that their lord had to leave. He bid farewell to them and then ran back to his master. Thanks to his improved strength and agility he was now as fast as a car when he ran with full speed. He didn’t need long until he finally arrived at his master’s place. His next training stage would now start.

Rise of the Realm (Dungeon Core)
Dungeons are probably amongst the strangest creatures in the world, creating vast labyrinths and wonders to explore. This is the story of one such dungeon as he makes his first shaky steps into the world, and all of the horror and majesty he will bring into the world. (This is my first fiction and I would appreciate any constructive criticism) Note: Litrpg elements start around chapter nine, and the story is a little slow at first. Legends tell of a prophecy that describes a team led by the legendary child of the prophecy, a child whose destiny is not to end the Shadow of Life, but to act as a harbinger, one whose very existence will turn the tides of war, one who must meet three seemingly impossible or currently unheard of criteria before the tides truly change. This is the tale of Team Noruva, which consists of a quiet, yet wise healer, a silent, but thoughtful rogue, a knight with an iron will, a wolf beastborn who gained access to the System, and their leader, who ignores the impossible and does whatever he wants, because why the hell not? This is the tale of their adventures and daily lives, their ups and downs, their struggles, successes, and losses. **REGARDING PoV'S*** There will be 5 total PoV's in this story. However, four of them will take several dozen chapters (beginning Chapter 73) to start happening, with the first two "Books" focusing just on Zack, which is why there's the Multiple PoV's tag on here, even though only one's around at first.

The Runners of Westal
Anya Vorian wasn't picky. She'd take any apprenticeship that came her way. She, Lori and Andrew had prepared all winter for the interviews, but when only one offer came with her name on it, she suddenly wasn't so sure that she could do it. It was hard work, for one thing. It was dirty. They were respected, certainly, but in the sort of way that one respects a skilled plumber - grateful to have the job done, but glad it isn't your arms elbow deep in dung. In short, runners were odd folk. Maybe it was time to get fast. - A first-person tale inspired by long distance running.
