《How to become a Demon Lord》Chapter 11 Killing Tulma and dominating the village

Chapter 11
Ragen stared at the wooden walls. From up close he could see how crude they were made. On top of a small platform sat probably the goblin who was responsible for the gate. He looked down on a tied up Ragen and his new friend. “What do you bring now? A human? And where is the rest of your group?” The goblin became a bit nervous but replied: “A beast of the forest was chasing after him. We captured him and the rest chased after the beast. They said to me that I should bring this lowly human to Tulma.” The gatekeeper looked at him and then scratched his head. “Ok, wait here I come down and open the gate.” A moment later, the gate opened and Ragen could enter the village. The village was more like a camp. There were no real buildings and just some kind of tents, which were made from fur. In the middle a big free space and some leftovers from a fire. They walked through the village and stood on front of the biggest tent. A raspy voice ordered them to enter. The insides of the tent were plain. There was a big torch on one of the pillars and in the corner was a chest. On the right side was a small bucket filled with water. When he turned his head, he saw a big chair probably meant as a throne and he saw Tulma.
Tulma the ugly was really the right name for this creature. His body was slightly bigger than the bodies of the normal goblins. But he was quite fat and lied on the chair. He had strong legs but weird arms. The left arm was longer that the right one and he had on the left hand 5 fingers, but on the right were just two fingers. Like every goblin was his cloth made from fur and bones, but his head was decorated with feathers and some bones which faintly looked like a crown. The real ugliness lied in his face. His nose looked like a pig nose and his mouth was contorted. One could clearly see his black teethes. His eyes were quite small, and he had an arrogant gaze in his face. “So, that’s the human bastard who dared to come into our territory? I will personally teach him some manners. You can leave for now.” The goblin nodded and left the tent.
Ragen thought about the best way to defeat this Tulma. Now he was level 9 and it wouldn’t be strange if he could level up again. With level 9 he should be able to kill that hobgoblin. His small army should already be in position and he just had to give the signal for the attack through his mind. With a short thought his army started to move.

Tulma got up and walked to him and then grinned. “Now little puny human, how should I kill you?” While Tulma was thinking about a method he turned his back to Ragen. That was his chance! He cut the ropes with his knife and aimed at Tulma. But before he could reach his target, it had already noticed the danger. Tulma tried to doge. Even tough Ragen couldn’t stab him in any vital points, he hit Tulma. The hobgoblin stared at him in shock and then shouted: “Goblins, gather around me and kill this human!” But nobody answered, instead they heard loud shrieks and the sound of clashing weapons. “What is going on? What did you do, you damn human?” Ragen grinned at Tulma and then jumped 5 meters from the hobgoblin away. He had his bow in his hands. Tulma on the other side of the tent took his mace out. He shot two fire arrows at the hobgoblin, but they missed the target ad set the tent on fire. In the tame Ragen had shot the arrows, Tulma approached him his mace in his hands. He dodged and he countered with his knife. A painful cry was heard when Ragen cut one of the arms of Tulma. Tulma staggered out of the tent. What he saw shocked him.
The battle outside of the tent was cruel and the goblin were in unsure who enemy and friend was. The gate was destroyed due to a giant snake which ate every goblin who came near to it. At the same time came wolves and boars through the gate and attacked everyone. And if that was not enough there were even some small groups of goblins which were on the side of the attackers. All in all the situation was bad, no hopeless for the goblins.
Tulma stood outside of his tent and saw how his life and home was burned down. He noticed the presence from behind but was unable to find the courage to attack that evil being. He wanted to flee. Right when he wanted to jump over the small wall, he felt pain. Intense pain flooded his body and he knew that everything was over. He stared at the source of the pain and saw an arrow which was stuck in his stomach. The area around the arrow was red then slowly turned into ice. He tried to get up but failed. He felt pity for himself and his kind and then everything turned black.
Ragen watched as the hobgoblin died.

What a shop? He was bewildered. There was something like a shop? But before he could think more about that, he heard another message.
Player can use [Domination] on the goblin village.
Does player want to dominate the village
YES/NO
So, he could already use [Domination] on this village. Without much hesitation he thought YES and something miraculous happened. The battle in the village instantly stopped. All the goblins in the village prostrated on the ground before him and said: “Hail the lord.” He didn’t expect that to happen. A short silence went by and one of goblins sat up and asked: “Oh great King what is you desire? How can we serve you?” He pondered but then replied: “Goblins of this village, you are now under my rule. You will obey my commands and orders. For the time being you all shall repair this village and treat your wounds.” The goblins bowed and then followed his orders.
While the goblins started to extinguish the fire and fix the gate, he sat on the ground and thought [SHOP].

He wanted to buy some new weapons.
Suddenly a lot of different pictures and text popped up in his mind. There were categories like swords, daggers, axes and many other things. He thought about bows and instantly saw the different bows which he could buy. They were pefectly listed after theirs price. He scrolled through the assortment and finally saw a bow which was suited for him and didn't cost too much.
Dark Wind Bow

Additional Wind damage

He still had some coins left from the last trade and so he thought ‘buy’. He noticed how his pocket became lighter and suddenly a beautiful black bow began to materialize itself in his hands. The bow had beautiful curves and patterns on it. It stretched from his feet to his shoulders and the bow string was out of a black metal. When he lifted the bow with his hands, he noticed how light it was. It was just a masterpiece. It was perfect. Before the rebuilding of the village was finished Ragen had bought another thing. The skill [Soul Collection]. With this skill he was able to store lesser souls in his mind and then trade them for more items. But now he was broke and couldn’t afford any more items or skills.
When the sundown began the last big damages were repaired in the village. All the goblins now gathered around him on the small square in the middle of the village.
“All of you who are now my minions should now, that from now on there are some rules in this villages
First: Never disobey my command. Even if it means to die.
Second: Stop the fighting without reasons. If you have a grudge against each other then you will hold a duel by fist. No deaths!
Those two rules will do it for now. For the time until I come back, I want you guys to scout the area and find any interesting place which we could conquer. If you encounter an enemy refrain from any violence and retreat to the village. Until I come back this goblin here (He pointed on the goblin, who went back with him) will lead you guys. He shall be my first commander. What is your name?”
The goblin was stunned and then answered: “Great lord, we lower goblins don’t have any names.” Ragen thought a moment and the replied: “Then from now on you should be called Unoreth my first commander.” The goblin looked up at his lord and cried in happiness: “I have a name. I am Unoreth!” Ragen nodded and then said: “Until I am back Unoreth will lead this village. So follow his orders.” He then turned around went to the gate. Unoreth followed him. The rest of the goblins disperse and went to sleep or further work.
Ragen patted Unoreth on his shoulders and said: “Until I am back, I want you to guide them. Improve the defence wall and the housing of the village. For defence I will let you have my undead minions. Don't use them reckless, just when you really need them. Also scout the area for anything interesting. I trust you.” Unoreth smiled and replied: “Yes master, I will not disappoint you.” Ragen left the village and went back to his master. He had a bad feeling, he had been longer away from his master than he should have been. The time which was given to him, had ended around two days ago and now he arrived all in all three days later than it was scheduled. His master greeted him with a murderous stare, and he knew, he had made a big mistake which he would regret now.
