《How to become a Demon Lord》Chapter 3 First hunt

Chapter 3
When he became two years old he was firstly allowed to get out of the house and investigate his surroundings. His first surprise was that they lived on a island. They lived in a small house near the coast. But what was the most surprising thing for him was the colour of the ocean. It was a blue mixed with purple. His father called it always the lilac ocean. When his father told him story about the ocean, then he had an absent face and his father told him a lot about the ocean. So he always thought that his father was a sailor, but when he asked his father the answer was unexpected. His father was a local hunter.
Another interesting thing he discovered was the little harbour town, which lied south from his house. Its name was San Tomas and it was a little town, with a little harbour and few but kind hearted people. He really wanted to go to the town, but his mother didn’t let him go. He was too young she told him.
So the time went bye and he came just with his parents outside. They showed him their garden, the coast and the nearby forest but he was never alone until he became 5 years old. Then finally his mother let him go outside alone. It was his birthday present. His father also gifted him a bow out of wooden with a few arrows. It was nothing special but for him it was a gift out of love. In theses five years he had started to love his parents hearty and he sometimes even forgot why he was here.
So he went out of the house and in the garden he thought status.

He had improved but was still lacking in many aspects. So now was he chance to gather experience and information. He went out of the garden and into the forest. His parents had told him that in this forest there were manly animals, but if you went deep into it you could find a lot of different creatures. From Goblins to Bloodwolves who are famous to be cruel. Ragen wanted to see them and fight them but he was not a careless person. So, his first target were boars, deer’s and rabbits. When he knew the forest better, he would advance further.
Sweat was running down his body and he was restless. He had successfully hunted down two rabbits and a medium-seized deer but now his primary target should show up. A wild boar. He had just one arrow left the rest was used or broken. So, he needed a perfect shot. He waited behind a little bush and monitored a little clearing of the forest. At this perfect spot was a little creek where a lot of animal’s came to drink, so he had to wait until his prey would show up.
The wild boar came into the open and went to the creek. Right when it stopped in front of it, he shot his arrow. The arrow flew with high speed to the boar and missed. It had noticed something was wrong and dogged the arrow. And now it stared at Ragen furiously. Ragen just had one thought: RUN! He shouted: “Shit, why do I have to miss. SHIIIIIIIIIIT!!” While running he heard how the boar started to catch up, so he had to find a way to escape. A big and beautiful old Tree was in front of him. With no other options he had no choice but to climb that three. So he climbed as fast as he could. The boar on the ground stopped in front of the tree and was waiting for Ragen tom come down. On the tree, Ragen had to calm down and started to wait, but the boar didn’t even twitch with his limbs. The boar wouldn’t let him go like this. It just waited for Ragen to come down and Ragen had to come down, then his parents waited at home for him and if he didn’t show up before the sun went down, then his mother would skin him alive. So, he had to come up with something. The question was just what to do? He couldn’t ask for help, there was nobody near him, nor could he escape, the boar was faster than him. There was just one option left, to kill the boar. Just how should he do it? Right at this moment he remembered something his father had given him. It was a little knife, just a bit bigger than his hand. This was his only option. He didn’t think long before he took the knife out and jumped down on the boar. With a loud cry he rammed the knife with the power of the jump into the head of the boar and won. The boar let out a last cry and then died. Ragen was happy and tired at the same time. Then heard a ding sound.

Congratulations you have levelled up. 'Player' is now Level 2.
He had levelled up, that was great, but he had to look later at his status screen. Firstly, he had to go back before the sun went down. And he had a long way back with a lot of new weight. Fast did he drag the boar to his little hideout in the forest. It was just a small cave which he had found when he had explored the forest together with his parents. There he had the other preys which he had hunted today and packed it onto his self-made wooden carriage. After a few hours of walk he finally arrived home. Ragens mother hugged him tightly when he came back, and his father smiled and made big surprised eyes when he saw the result of his sons first hunting. He was quite happy and asked Ragen a lot about his hunt. Ragen told him everything except for the incident with the boar. In the end his father taught him how to dismantle the animals. Then he said to Ragen: “Son you have more hunted than I thought, so I think you should come with me tomorrow to the Town and sell your spoils yourself.” Ragen was quite happy and instantly agreed to his fathers suggestion. Tomorrow he would visit the town.
