Book 1: Chapter 9
“Kid! What did you do? How, how did you purify and extract all the energy so quickly?! It takes little old me 2 seconds or so per particle to digest! You absorb 68 Space particle and 9 Death particle. It should take a rank 0 mage three minutes to digest one particle. Even saints should not be able to reach this crazy speed! You...You...genius! No! Beyond genius!”
Baccaus was beyond excited. He could only imagine that with this speed Cyil would catch up to him in less than 10 years! And 10 years was a conservative estimate!
Cyil could do nothing but just scratch his head. “Grandpa, so I didn’t do anything wrong?”
“Of course not! This is absolutely right! How, how did you do it?!!” At this point Baccaus himself, forgetting that he was the teacher, now seriously asked Cyil for his advice.
And Baccaus was right to be excited. This could be a chance for him to make a breakthrough to become a rank 8 mage. That would instantly allow him to achieve his lifelong dream!
Cyil felt that his answer would be very important to his grandpa so he tried seriously to remember the exact steps he took.
“After you helped me from exploding I felt really full and it was an uncomfortable feeling so I wanted the feel less full and then the particles began to leave me by themselves; after that I noticed that they were completely white so I was scared I was in trouble and did something wrong so I asked a lot of questions.” Cyil answered with all seriousness.
*pfft* Baccaus almost choked on his own spiritually formed spit. “You wanted to feel less full so the particles left?”
Hearing the answer Baccaus almost wanted to strangle the kid, not because he thought the kid was lying but because he was too jealous!

“Alright. Alright. Let’s see you do it again. I’ll closely monitor you this time! Come!” Baccaus declared.
Nodding, Cyil diligently began to absorb the the particles again and they returned to him just as quickly, as if they were starved children running after the delicious meal that was Cyil. As soon as Cyil began his absorption the nice feeling came back and he felt like he was experiencing all of the happiest memories of his life over again.
As this was going on Baccaus carefully observed Cyil’s actions. He was not surprised at Cyil’s absorption speed because saint attribute particles are like emperors to elemental particles thus eliminating the need for the mage to slowly pick out their respective elemental particle from batches of other elements.
Once a saint body was calling for their attribute particles then all other elemental particles would make way for those particles. This greatly increased the absorption process. Even Baccaus himself sped up his absorption and digesting speed after he discovered his second element, because he had one more option to pick from the elemental particles in the surroundings to fill up his soul. Of course, he could not compare to a saint’s speed but he was much faster than other average mages. Not to mention the boy could absorb three attributes particle!
He had three….
Wait.
Baccaus quickly remembered what he just told Cyil a while before. “Time is formless and could only be felt. So how could he absorb Time? Unless, Time was somehow helping Cyil in someway, perhaps speeding up the process of digestion?!”
Baccaus exclaimed in shook. If this was the case then a Time attribute saint would be terrifying! Their leveling speeds would be off the charts.
Baccaus was right, but also incorrect. That he could guess so much with so little information on Time saints was a testament to his reasoning skills and vast knowledge-base. Time saints would not have been as crazy as Baccaus thought or even close to as quick as Cyil. The reason being, Time saints were not compatible with any other elements.

Time saints, or any other mage, could absorb any elemental particle they wanted but there would be a rejection from that particle which would increase the difficulty of digestion and drastically reduce the amount of energy produced. Plus the energy would not match their elemental body which would cause hidden dangers if it’s done too much. The gains were not even worth a fart compared to the losses so the reasonable choice for mages was clear-stick to your own element.
Hence the tragic fate of Time saints that has to absorb other elements. That was why Time saints could only be as fast as other saints, maybe even slower because they had to dispel the impurities themselves, taking even more time. But do not think they are not strong, for Time saints are not called saints for no reason…
Cyil’s speed could only be called blessed by the heavens because he not only had the Time attribute but two other Saint attributes to boot! It is only within a dual-elemental/saint body that the Time attribute can shine and Cyil had two extra attributes just for kicks.
As Baccaus watched Cyil reach close to the limit for his soul, he saw that the boy actually stopped right before he would start to expand and bloat. Just one more particle would have done it but Cyil stopped just in time.
“Genuis,” Baccaus said to himself, then waited for the digesting to begin.
Baccaus did not have to wait long because two minutes later the particles began to float happily out of Cyil’s body.
Cyil exhaled and then asked, “Grandpa how was it?”
Baccaus shook his head then replied, “I cannot use your method, but this will be very helpful for your future training. But remember, under no circumstances must you tell anyone how fast your speed is! Nor can you let them monitor your meditation lest they try to capture you and use you as an experimental lab rat!”
“Ah!” Cyil jumped and immediately broke out of meditation. Turning around to face Baccaus, Cyil stammered. “They, they won’t really do that will they, Grandpa?”
Seeing the boy’s worried expression Baccaus smiled and thought to himself, “you may be a genius at meditating but there is still much you have to learn heh heh. Let me teach this genius slowly!”

Rise of the Business [Class]
'Rise of the Business [Class]' is a story about a world where humanity ended up fleeing through space, after suffering several great disasters at home. On arrival we crash-landed and were soon attacked by magic wielding civilizations who learned how to deal with our weaponry with a speed that belied their seemingly simplistic nature. We were lost. But eventually we survived by abandoning technology and adapting. But this tale takes place thousands of years later, after humanity has had time to rise and falter more than once. It tells of a time where we adapted too much, focusing only on combat and magic and learning to rely on the [System] that our ancestors built in order to compete and survive on this hostile planet with the others. This is a story about our final chance during a time when all of humanity is under siege again, where we struggled to adapt too late and ultimately had to learn how to summon a collection of people from Earth through time and space to come help - but not to the 'besieged time' but back a couple of hundred years - before it went too far down the wrong path, so they can hopefully change things enough to prevent a return to that timeline. Follow Livia as she is ripped from her favorite library and end up getting lucky, or unlucky? On her very first day on the Elderwood continent. While a trio of native lads excitedly leave home to find adventure, oblivious to how very soon they might end up entangled in the fate of the world.
