《The Billionaire's Proposal》A Trip to Cancun (Part III)

It was our last day in Cancun and it's honestly been a great two weeks. I definitely got an amazing tan due to all the time we spent in the blazing sun.

"I'm really going to miss this place." I state as I skirl my feet in the cold pool.

"Me too, it's been a great two weeks hasn't it?" Adrian's asks and I nod. "I hate that after today we will have to go back and face all the drama back home. I just hope the rumors and drama have seceded."

"I guess we won't find out until tomorrow." I reply as I look up at Adrian.

"Guess so." Adrian answers. "Race you to the beach!"

Adrian sprints off towards the private beach and I stand up and run to catch up with him. I trip on a rock but Adrian catches me before I fall. Our faces were mer inches from touching and I felt my heart beating faster. He stroked my cheek and pushes a few strands of hair behind my ear as we get lost in each other's eyes.

"Hey, how about we go out tonight. You know being our last night here?" He asks and I smile up at him.

"That'd be great." I reply. Adrian smiles back at me and his smile slowly switches to a smirk. Mischief ran through his blue eyes and before I could ask him what was going through his mind he throws me into the warm ocean water. "Asswhole!"

Adrian was chuckling at my wet figure and I splashed water at him. He ran towards me and I tried getting away but her grabbed me by the waist and spun me around in the air before we both splashed into the water.

I look at the clock on my phone and it read six forty five. I stand up from the bed and make my way towards the bathroom. I strip out of my shorts and tank top before entering the tub. I turn on the tap and the lukewarm water cascades over my body. I roll my neck and think about what I should wear for tonight. I only had two outfits left, a navy blue dress with roses knitted on both breasts and going down to the hips. There was a slit down the left leg starting above mid thighs, and it had a strap that went around the neck. I also had a light brown, beigeish with small decorations, with a black skirt. Once I make up my mind and am finish washing up I turn off the tap and wrap a towel around my body and another around my hair.

I don't wanna buy what they're sellin' these days

Sayin' feelin' and fallin' is all a mistake, no, no

And why does everybody look at young hearts?

Feelin' love, like it's just a matter of time before they break, no, no

They started sayin', when you can't hide, run

When you can't run, hide

Started thinkin' love's a loaded gun

Nobody wants to fight

And when did we all start thinkin' that the world

Stop spinnin' in a kiss goodnight?

And when did our heartbeat beatin' too fast

Stop meanin' it was worth the while?

I wanna, I wanna be loved

I wanna, I wanna be loved

I wanna, I wanna be loved

And I don't wanna run, I don't wanna hide

I take out the navy blue dress and neatly lay it on my bed. I walk over to my vanity and start doing my make up while listening to Selena Gomez's new single: Fetish. I decide to with a natural look and brush my hair into a neat high ponytail with a few curled strands sticking out to frame my face. Once I am done I slide on the dress and strap on a pair of matching navy blue sandal heels. I spray on some perfume before grabbing my blue clutch bag and head downstairs.

"Jane, you look stunning." Adrian states as he takes in my appearance.

I feel my cheeks turn a light shade of red as I answer, "Thank you, you don't look so bad yourself."

"Shall we get going my lady?" Adrian asks trying to imitate a British accent.

I giggle and reply, "We shall."

Adrian opens the car door for me and I smile at him gratefully as I step inside. While I am strapping my seat belt on Adrian rounds the car on hops into the drivers seat. Once he puts his seat belt on we pull away from the house and head into the roads of Cancun.

"James recommended this restaurant so I am hoping he was right." Adrian informs as we park in front of restaurant near the beach.

Adrian and I step out of the car before walking into the restaurant.

"Bienvenidos a Casa Del Mar! ¿Cuantas personas? (Welcome to House of the Sea! How many people?)" Adrian stood there confused and I couldn't help but giggle.

"Mesa para dos. (Table for two.)" I answer and the girl nods before leading us to one of her outside tables. We take a seat and are handed our menus. "I am guessing you didn't do good in Spanish class did you?"

"Oh be quiet miss smarty pants." Adrian replies with a smile. I giggle at his comment as I scan the menu. "The last shrimp I had was amazing, so I guess I'll go with that. What will you be getting?"

"The same as you and rice water." I reply and Adrian stares at me like I have grown another head.

"Rice water?" He asks and I nod.

"It's great! Especially if you add a few drops of vodka." I answer.

"Guess, I'll take that as well." Adrian responds and I smile.

The waiter walked over to us and wrote down our order before heading back ii the building.

"You sure do know a lot about Mexican culture don't you?" Adrian teases.

"It's always been my dream to come to Cancun, so I have kept myself well informed about its cultural foods and cultural heritage." I answer. Look at me sounding all smart. Adrian smiles at me and I return the gesture before turning to look at the setting sun. It was a beautiful scene. A mix of blues, purples, pinks, and yellows filled the sky.

"It's beautiful isn't it?" I ask.

"Yes, it is." I turn around and find Adrian staring at me which causes my heart to do a billion flips as my smile widens.

Adrian and I laughed as we swayed to the music playing through the speakers.

"May I say, you are a really good dancer." He compliments causing me to blush.

We were currently back at the house dancing to Thinking Out Loud by Ed Sheeran. I'll admit it Adrian and I were a bit drunk, no correction we were beyond drunk.

"Why thank you Mr. McKeller." I reply with a smile as he spins me around.

I lay my head on his shoulder and smile as Adrian pulls me closer to him.

"I had a great time." Adrian confesses. "Here with you..."

My heart accelerates in hopes of his next words. Is he going to...

"You are a great friend Jane." My heart sinks at his words but I don't let it ruin my mood.

We are friends and it's better than yelling at each other or hating other all the time. At least now I know he does care for me, even if it's in a friendly way.

"I had fun, too." I answer as I look up at him. "Thank you for the trip. It really made me forget about everything we were put through the last few weeks."

"It made me forget, too." He responds.

The song lastly came to an end and I let out a tired yawn as Adrian smiled down at me. He led us to the couch and my feelings thanked me. I took off the heels and placed them on the side of the couch.

"My feet are killing me." I state as I lean back in my seat.

"We have been doing a lot of walking lately." Adrian states as he repeats my actions and takes the seat next to me. I could feel his warm body and I had an urge to scoot closer to him.

"What was your favorite part of these past two weeks?" I tiredly ask as I lay my head on his shoulder without thinking. Adrian doesn't push me away and instead lays his over mine.

"It had to be when we climbed the Mayan temples, the view will forever be in my mind." Adrian answers. "How about you?"

"It's between the parasailing or exploring the underwater muse-" My sentenced was finished as a yawn and I was to tired to care. I brought my legs up to the couch as I made myself comfortable. Sleep was slowly overtaking me.

"You know what other part was my favorite part?" Adrian asks.

I tiredly look up to him trying my best to keep my eyes open and ask, "What?"

"Spending time with you, alone." He whispers. "Like today at the restaurant it was fun and I loved it. I loved spending time with you..."

Sleep was winning the battle and I could barely keep my eyes open or my focus steady. Adrian's words didn't make sense anymore as my eyelids began to shut. Sleep was overpowering me and I didn't stop it, nor did I want to, I was too tired to fight back. I felt a hand stroke my cheek as his last words filled my tired ears.

"Jane, I-I like you."
