《The Forager from Another World and his Online Shop》Chapter 1 - The Birth of a Forager and his Online Shop

The concept of war and poverty was something I was used to. It was a forced way of life due to the environment. A placid lifestyle was more of a myth. Every day was a struggle. Every struggle was bringing me closer towards death's door. But was it worth fighting towards the end? My answer is simple. Yes, it was. When the battle for survival was never-ending, the grumbling stomach was never quenched, it was an utter pain towards the last dying breath. But, the feeling of dying with a conscious that I did my best at the very last moment, gave me the calm and serene mind at death's door. It was a will to survive so I can die in peace, yes I know. A weird concept to follow. But who knew all my struggles and perseverance will give me a second chance. A life where I can re-shape my path and break away the chain. There were so many choices the gods have presented me with. From being a hero that can save a world, a sage that can alter the course of history or even a prince with a set path of becoming one true king that unifies everything. Yet, they all have one thing in common. Immense struggles that I didn't feel like going through again. I was already struggling in my previous life. The only difference is, mine didn't have a good end whereas, these choices leads to a prosperous finale. But there is one class I couldn't take my eyes off from. "I have chosen." I smile as I ignored all the other paths. "Then what is the road you have chosen?" The biggest out of all of the gods has spoken. Their massive size was intimidating but their presence is calming. The were Seven of them. The biggest out of them all is called the one true god. "I have chosen to follow a foraging path." I happily reply. It was by far, the most uncommon path. There was no glory in the end, no princesses fawning over a prince, no mastery of all elements. But the best of them all, I don't need to rely on anyone and it doesn't contain immense struggles needing to become strong. It was a simple path. To live off the lands. But out of all the choices, this is the only one that didn't have a set ending. It was an open path. An ending I can shape based on how I live. I always felt shackled in my previous life. No matter how much I struggled and persevered, it felt like a preset path that no matter what way I veer towards, it leads to the same road. This path gives me a different feeling. Like there is no road to follow. That I am the road itself and I can choose which direction at anytime. "I see, a path not many see as prosperous or exciting but it is the most rewarding one. A path not many of the souls that come here even notice. By far, you are the only soul that has chosen this one." The biggest god waved his hand and suddenly a lot of information flooded into my mind. Information about the basic skills of foraging, butchering and even cooking. "Whoa..." I whisper as I felt genuine excitement. A feeling I have not experienced in a long time. "Us gods bless you to have a life full of wonders. As a gift from us, we will grant you an extra skill and Infinite storage bag." The biggest god waves his hand again and a potato sack drops out of thin air followed by what looks like a magazine with the word Convenience Store printed in large bold letters. The minute I pick it up, a notification appeared.

Legendary Item: Convenience Store Skill Book
Learn it? Yes or No
"Y-yes?" I wasn't so sure if it was voice-activated but it seems like my hunch was right. The food magazine thing turned into white orbs and was absorbed right into my forehead. All of a sudden, more notifications appeared one by one.
Command Skill: Convenience Store (Level 1)
To activate the command, you can either say 'Convenience Store' out loud or in your mind.
At level 1, the basic ingredients, snacks and beverages are available to purchase.
Each purchase will grant exp towards the skill. The exp will depend on the value of each purchase. The more expensive the purchase, the more exp it will generate for the skill. Increase the level of the convenience store skill to unlock more items.
The convenience store contains ONLY snacks, beverages, and ingredients available to purchase by the skill holder. Equipment befitting your class is also available at a certain level. The Convenience Store skill does not require magic power to activate. To exit the store, look away from the window or think about closing it. "Whoa, this is so cool! Thank you!" I couldn't hold my excitement as I almost cried out loud. I pick up the potato bag and open it. The minute I did, it was just a regular potato bag yet I couldn't see the bottom from the inside. Legendary Item: Potato Bag of Infinite Storage Bound it with your soul? Yes or No "Yes." my reply brought out another notification. Potato Bag of Infinite Storage is now bound with your soul. Soul-bound items can never be lost or stolen. One way or another, it will find it's way back to the host. It's infinite storage capacity only works on the soul-bound host. Any other regular entity will see the bag as a regular potato bag. It's a one-of-a-kind item. It contains self repairing mechanism but it's not indestructible. It will patch and fix any hole or minor damages but severe damage will render it useless. Back when I was alive, I didn't even have money to get myself a pair of socks so this potato bag was a luxury item in my opinion. I thanked them non-stop and the gods couldn't stop their smiles. I guess it's their first time seeing a soul genuinely happy about a potato bag. "You're welcome. Now lay down and close your eyes. We will transport you to your new world. May the odds favor you as the gods do. Good luck." One true god nods as I lay down on the white floor. He place his hand over my eyes and somehow I started getting sleepy. "The gods will watch you on your journey. Rest now my child, when u awaken, your new life will begin." I remember the last thing I felt is the excitement inside my heart. I get to live a new life free of any shackles. No matter how long it takes, This time, I will find the meaning to my life.

Virtuous Sons
The saying goes that when a man is born the Fates weave his destiny and swaddle him in it. Then one day the man dies, and the swaddle becomes a shroud. Heaven moves on. It is audacity to question the Fates. Olympus is Olympus. The land of men is the land of men. To transgress that, to cross the line of divinity and scale Olympus Mons? To defy the Fates and cast off their threads? That is hubris. It’s a mark that every philosopher bears plainly on their soul. [participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge]

The Dungeon Gods [DEAD - AWAITING REWRITE]
More than three centuries ago, the Great Mage, Arcius, Performed the single greatest feat a magician can accomplish, he looked into the future, and discovered his fate. In his visions, he discovered his reincarnation, to become a Dungeon. Desiring to rise to great heights again, even in his new life, he spent the remaining centuries he had researching and studying the strange beings called Dungeons, and devising a spell that would allow him to retain his memories. However, the very act of knowing what is to come can often be enough to alter Destiny. Impressed at the Mage's efforts, an ancient, powerful being, the Creator of Gods, has now chosen him, to become one of the Dungeon Gods of a new world in a new segment of reality. Their directive, to bring life to this new world. Follow him, as he brings forth the knowledge his efforts awarded him, and pits it against his unprepared competitors, in a bid to be the first to create sentient life. This is my first full on story, and is mostly going to be a learning experience for me. It is going to be a story following the life of Arcius as a Dungeon God, with very few POV swaps, if any. If I make any errors, either in spelling or in grammer, please let me know, and I will endevour to correct them ASAP. I was inspired to create this story after reading the Scale Dungeon, by TheSilverGunner, here on RRL. It is a good story, despite having only a few chapter out at the time of writing this. I highly recommend that you read that story if you find this one interesting.
