When I entered the building, I was greeted with a female voice.

"Welcome to the Merchant Faction; here to help you with all Merchant situations. How may we help you today sir?"

The voice came from a little above average looking brunette aged around 20 to 28, a look you would expect from a barista or secretary.

She had a name tag on her chest, made out of what seemed to be obsidian and marble, reading: “Aurora”.

"Why thank you, Aurora, I do need some help today. The guard standing right outside said I need to register as a member of the Merchant Faction in order to get my business registered, is this the right place?"

I replied by using the skill friendly smile to see if I can raise her perception of me.

She replied with what almost seemed like instinct, but in this case, it was likely the coding done, or it was the A.I of the game.

If it was either one of those things, this game is already ahead of the others. They may have realistic features and response times, but the way this was done felt almost real,

"Yes sir, this is the right place. To become a member, you will need to go to window one and, to register your business, you will need to go to window three. Any further questions?"

As she was listing the windows, she pointed out where they were. The windows were a little further back in the building, straight forward, and near some steps. There were four windows, each one had someone standing behind the counter, with one to two people in front of each.

As she pointed, a small blimp appeared which seemed to be a waypoint, like the ones you would have in an old game called Skyrim©, which would lead you to your destination.

"No, I think that is all for now. Thank you very much."

I answer with a gentleman's arm-in-front-of-heart gesture. Also, having the friendly smile skill be successful in its use.

"If you have any further questions, please ask me at any time. I am the informant of this establishment"

She answers with her own small half curtsy. After we finish up I went to the first window, where there was no one else.

"Hello Mister, as you are coming to this window after talking to Aurora, I expect you want to become a member of this faction, correct?"

This time, the voice came from a middle-aged man, with black hair and business-style suit, a name tag fixed on his chest as well, reading: “Jeremy”.

"Hello Jeremy, my name is Nicholas. And yes, your assumptions are correct; I do want to become a member of this faction."

I said as friendly as I can. Using the skill Friendly Smile once more.

"Haha, they usually are. Well, first things first, we will need membership fee of 1 Rin to join, and whatever your business level is as of right now. Yours is a tier 2 set 1 cup game, so you must pay 20 silver a week."

After he laughed he became very businesslike. The prices made sense, and at this time I can afford it, but in order to test my bargaining skill, and maybe level it up, I try to barter.

"Hmm, this price seems a bit much for me. I just created my business and haven't had one customer yet, why must I spend so much?" I try to drop the price he gave me"I do not have much money, so can we do 50 silver instead, and a tax of 15 silver until I get around 30 customers daily?"

He sat and thought for a bit then responded by giving his new price.

"I'm sorry Nicholas, 50 silver as a down payment and 15 silver weekly is just too little. I can see you don't have much, so how about 75 silver right now and 18 silver weekly?"

I didn't want to push the skill too much since I might not be able to get it lower, so I agreed.

"That sounds wonderful, thank you very much, Jeremy!"

I pay Jeremy and then a few things happen.

"As you have paid your fee, you must now register."

You have paid the fee, and been recognized as a Merchant by the Merchant Faction. You must now agree to become a member! Congratulations you have leveled up your Friendly Smile Skill Level: 2 -it now raises your charisma to 51% Congratulations you have leveled up your Gambler Skill Level: 3 -It now raises your chance of a successful gamble by 1%
