Expect the unexpected.

We are sitting inside one of the rooms of the dome, we are to wait for our turn. For today, only individual battles will be held, and all of the battle today will be a battle royale. The first round will be a battle between 10 or more people, and only the last one standing will get to the next round. There were 4 rings created from earth magic in the middle of the dome, which will be used for the battle. After the first round only 32 will be left, we have already seen our names, and luckily, none of us are in the same block.

The first one to enter was Ciela. Since we can’t see what’s happening outside, the only thing we could do was pray. In the end she lost, she was defeated by a silver(mid) rank in her block, but we heard she was able to fight head on with the silver(mid) rank despite her only being at bronze.

The next one was Feric. He had to fight against other gold ranks but still won in the end, and will be a part of the 32 fighter for the next round. Same goes for Nero, who defeated everyone on the ring by himself. My match will be the one of the last ones, so I just stayed quiet in the room.

I could feel someone moving to the room, and opened it before he even got here.

“Contestant Shera Nillin, you are next. I’ll guide you to the ring now.” A palan with white uniform came to get me.

As I walk to the ring, I could see that the other 9 and even the ones on the other rings were looking at me.

“Oi oi, they don’t expect us to hurt her right? Why did they even let a fragile lady enter the tournament”(Armored Talar)

“If I suddenly touch your body don’t get angry ok? This is a battle after all ahahahaha”(Heran wielding an axe)

“Let the battle begin!”(Palan)

At his signal, everyone ran to me…why me? It is a battle royale right? Why does it look like they are ganging up on me. One by one, I threw them out of the ring, and 5 seconds after the battle started, I won.

“…AND THE BATTLE AT RING 3 IS ALREADY FINISHED! THE LADY IN PURPLE ARMOR EASILY THREW THE GOLD RANKS OUT OF THE RING!”(Palan)

Everyone went silent, even the ones in the other ring stopped fighting. Everyone looked at me…but I didn’t care, and asked.

“Can I go now?”(Shera)

After that I could hear everyone yelling.

“UWOOOOO THIS IS IT! LIKE MAIDEN IN THE MIDDLE OF A BATTLE FIELD! THE BIRTH OF A WAR GODDESS!”(Palan)

Oi, don’t add more titles to me.

After that, the 1st day of the tournament was over. As we walked around the city, people kept following us, and some were even asking a lot of questions. We ignored them, and went to buy some ingredients. After a long time, Nero will finally cook for us again.

Because of the people that kept coming to us like a swarm, it took us a bit of time to get back. When we got back to the room, Ciela started asking Feric about classes. I didn’t really want to know, but since there is nothing else to do while waiting for food, I listened to them.

It goes like this. A class is attained after getting a certain amount experience or knowledge. For example, you are blindly swinging you sword while fighting, after a certain amount of battle, you will get the swordsman class. You could also train in a certain sword art, and still get the swordsman class. Another thing is that, even if you have the same class as the other, it doesn’t mean you have the same fighting style. The example Feric told us was a swordsman that fight normally and a swordsman that uses Iaido. They are basically from the same class, yet have completely different ways of fighting

The other classes can also get skills, but unlike magicians that has a skill for every attack they make, other classes use skills as a last move. All of attacks of the magicians are skills, while the swordsman for example can kill by simply moving their swords. An example a non magician skill is the berserker’s blood hunt skill, which lets them temporarily take a person’s vitality and it to theirs.

There is also a class up system, like I, who moved from Wizard to Sage. There are different ways to raise your class, but the most common is by sheer training. Your class will go up on its own as you get stronger.

I wonder why I didn’t get a class focused on fist fighting…I know I was just blindly punching and kicking, but I should at least get a class out of it.

Anyways, the most basic classes are as follows:

There are other classes, but those are the most basic ones. You could also get more than one class, and even combine them. If you train as a magician and as a fist fighter, you will get the rune fist class. There isn’t that much information on other unique classes, especially fusion classes.

I was a bit curious about class fusion, rune fist sounds kinda cool, imagine all the possibilities. There are even other classes that aren’t known yet. By the time they finished talking about classes, Nero finished cooking.

Since Nero and I didn’t really know how a relationship should go, we talked about things that didn’t make any sense. In the end, we stared at each other until we fell asleep

The tournament was a bit disappointing, the first match didn’t even last a minute. I hope there are at least a few that can fight me, if not…Ah, who cares, at least we get 20 reis coins. Tomorrow will be for party battles, and they all told me to stay still unless they were losing to the enemy party.

The next day, people were moving to see us, but unlike before, they are making a path for us. When we got to the dome, we were given seats were we could see the fights. Finally, I could at least watch the others fight. I looked around, and saw the king, who was staring at me for no reason. I also found Feric’s father, and when our eyes met, he waved at me…since it was rude of me to ignore him, I also waved back. I wonder why he didn’t visit Feric yesterday.

When it was finally our party’s turn, people started cheering.

“THIS IS IT, THE MOST POPULAR FIGHTER IN THIS TOURNAMENT. WAR GODDESS SHERA!”(Palan)

Ok, so I will officially be called a war goddess now, great. By the way, the other team was composed of 4 swordsmen, 1 archer, and 1 magician.

“ON THE RED CORNER IS THE STYGIAN CIPHER!”(Palan)

Red? Where’s the red color? I can’t see any…Oh, the stairs we used to get to the ring was red.

“SHERA SHERA SHERA”(Crowd)

Oi, it’s called stygian cipher not Shera, stop shouting my name.

“On the blue corner is Blue Verdict!”(Palan)

This guy is obviously showing favoritism…he didn’t introduce the other party with the same intensity as he did to our party.

“Are both parties ready?”(Palan)

Our party, and the other party nodded. For the rules, the king already said it yesterday. First killing is aloud, if you kill the enemy or the entire party, you win. Second, you win if you make the enemy faint, or make them admit defeat. And lastly, you are free to fight any way you want, all job classes can join.

“Let the battle begin!”(Palan)

At his signal, both parties started to fight, except for me who was sitting on the side, watching them as they fight. The other party was good, I think? Ciela & Nero were keeping the 4 swordsmen at bay, while Feric was having an intense battle with the archer and the mage. The crowd seemed disappointed that I wasn’t fighting, but didn’t say anything, and simply watched my party members fight.

I was sitting, quietly, until a fireball, and an arrow was sent to my direction.

“SHERA”(Nero, Feric & Ciela)

When all of them, panicked when they looked at me, the enemy used the opportunity to attack them. All of them were caught with their guard down, and were defeated…except for Nero who was still conscious but no longer had the strength to fight. I got a bit angry, so I sent a spell to the enemy party.

“Thunder Rain”(Shera)

Blue lightning was shot down from the sky, and hit everyone of the enemy party’s members. Only the magician was still standing, and sent a tornado to my location, but I simply ran around the tornado, and punch his stomach. With that, I completely defeated the enemy party.

The crowd went wild, with my display of power.

“UWOOOOO DID YOU SEE THAT? NOT ONLY IS SHE STRONG PHYSICALLY, SHE CAN EVEN USE HIGH LEVEL MAGIC! THAT FOLKS IS THE POWER OF THE WAR GODDESS!”(Palan)

After that, we all went back to the inn without watching the other battles. All three of them looked really tired, with this it looks like they will have a hard time fighting tomorrow…so that’s why there wasn’t much party battles. If a person would have to fight continuously, then he will run out of steam before reaching the end of the tournament.

It is ok for me to fight non-stop, but I don’t think it is the same for them. I seem to have underestimated the tournament…maybe I should let them rest on the next battle? Tomorrow would still be party battles, and we will have to fight twice tomorrow.

“I think you guys should rest for tomorrow, I’ll handle the party battles.”(Shera)

“What are you saying, we will go with you.”(Nero & Feric)

“You still have your individual battles the day after tomorrow, so you should rest.”(Shera)

“We could still fight.”(Nero)

“Let’s just say I want to enjoy my battles, and fighting a party by myself is the only way to do it. So please rest for tomorrow.”(Shera)

“…still”(Nero)

“Please, this is the first time I will be selfish, so please listen to me, and rest for tomorrow.”(Shera)

“What are you guys so worried about, you know master’s strength right?”(Pooch)

“It’s not just about strength…we just”(Feric)

“Please”(Shera)

“Fine”(Nero)

“Thank you” I hugged Nero, Feric & Ciela.

“F…food…hungry”(Ciela)

After that we ate, and the day ended with all of them sleeping the rest of the day. When I woke up, everyone was still asleep. Looks like the battle yesterday really drained their strength. I took a bath, wore my armor, and said something to pooch before leaving the inn.

“Take care of them while I am away.”(Shera)

The people at the dome, where shocked that I came alone for the party battles. Just like before, when it was my time to fight, the crowd went wild.

“OUR LOVELY GODDESS SHERA WILL FIGHT ALONE! CAN SHE WIN AGAINST THE ENEMY PARTY?”(Palan)

“SHERA SHERA SHERA”(Crowd)

“OF COURSE YOU FUCKTARD, THERE IS NO WAY OUR GODDESS WOULD LOSE!”(Group wearing purple t-shirt)

You said I was the war goddess yesterday, and now I’m called lovely goddess? What’s next? And wait, there are more people wearing purple t-shirt.

After that, a group of people wearing purple t-shirt ganged up on someone. And we never saw the one who shouted ever again.

…Should I kill them?

The one in front of me were a group of young people from different races. They all had well shaped body, and looked better than normal.

Heh, Nero & Feric are more handsome compared to them. I don’t see the reason they are so well liked.

“Are both parties ready?”(Palan)

“Wait, I want to say something to the lovely lady in front of us.” A talar winked at me…tsk.

“Honey, if you forfeit now, we will let you monopolize us for the rest of your life.” A vallar was slowly opening his vest, while licking his lips.

“KYAAAA”(Female crowd)

“NO, just start the battle.” I looked at them with a disinterested face.

“Come one darling, I know you want it.” Another vallar was thrusting his hips violently. What’s that? Is that supposed to make me like you?

“KYAAAA”(Female crowd)

“DON’T TOUCH OUR GODDESS!”(Group wearing purple t-shirt)

“HANDSOME PEOPLE SHOULD DIE!”(Male crowd)

“This is going nowhere, just start the fight already.” Did I just say what’s inside of my head, out loud?

“L…let the battle begin!”(Palan)

“Wait!”(Love you troupe members)

Since I was slightly irritated, so I punched them a bit harder. All of them went down with just a single punch…

“THERE IT IS! SHERA-SAMA’S STRENGTH!”(Palan)

“WE LOVE SHERA! WE LOVE SHERA!”(Crowd)

Sigh…I didn’t think a tournament could be this irritating.

After the battle, I went to a seat given to me by the king…I am currently sitting beside the king. The king was from the talar race. He had silver hair and blue eyes like Feric, he also had a well shaped body. The only thing different from Feric was the king’s white skin. Feric was still better in terms of looks though. He looked around 40-45, and had a slightly long beard.

“That was a splendid display of power, lady Shera.”(King)

I need to act friendly in front of the king…sigh…what a pain in the ass.

“It was just a fluke, I am sure it would have turned badly if they attacked first.”(Shera)

“Quite a humble lady, I like it. After this tournament, would you mind visiting my castle? we will welcome you with open arms”(King)

I guess it’s ok, it’s not like I plan on staying here. And visiting the castle sounds fun.

“I’ll take offer, and visit your kingdom. I don’t plan to stay here anyways.”(Shera)

“Good, I’ll let you meet the first prince. I am sure you would like him.”(King)

“…meeting him is ok I guess, I don’t plan stay in the kingdom either because I want to travel the world.”(Shera)

“I see” The king touched his beard, while thinking of something.

Since he didn’t say anything after that, I simply watched the other battles. Nothing out of the ordinary happened, and it was finally time for my last battle for the day. The enemy team had 3 members, and all of them wore a robe that covered their whole body and hid their face.

“IT’s FINALLY TIME FOR THE MAIN EVENT OF THE DAY!”(Palan)

What main event? There are still some battles left after my fight.

“THE GODDESS WHO DESCENDED FROM THE HEAVENS TO SHOW US HER BEAUTY AND STRENGTH. EVERYBODY GIVE AROUND OF APPLAUSE TO SHERA NILLIN OF THE STYGIAN CIPHER!”(Palan)

The crowd goes wild again, and started spouting different things.

“STEP ON ME SHERA-SAMA”(???)

On that day, another man was never seen again.

“On the blue corner is the mysterious party who won their battles with a single spell, Genesis!”(Palan)

So they are magicians, something feels odd about them though. Probably because I can’t see their faces.

“Are both parties ready?”(Palan)

I nodded, and the other party simply stayed silent.

“Let the battle begin!”(Palan)

After this there will only be 4 more party battles…

While I was thinking my feet was getting dragged to the floor, and was frozen by ice magic. The ice started to spread through my body, but I easily got out. There were still small ice crumbs on my body, and they suddenly pierced my body.

“Release”(Hooded Man 1)

At his words, the ice inside my body expanded, and ripped my flesh off.

Kuuu…that hurts you retard. I ran to the enemy, but a 6 layered barrier imprisoned me. I started punching the barrier, and destroyed them one by one with my fist. Just before I destroyed the last barrier, the 3 finished casting a spell.

“Azrahel”(3 Hooded Men)

The sky darkened, and 3 white circles appeared on the sky. The ground started to crack, and lightning started to fall around the city. Violent tornados started appearing around the city, and a colossal humanoid with 4 arms, 4 feet, 2 faces, 12 demonic tails, and 6 wings descended from the sky.

The 3 hooded men that summoned it turned into sand, and was carried by the wind. Monsters started to come out of the cracks made by the summoning spell. Soon a voice echoed throughout the city.

“Greetings people of Zeirberg, I am Zaladin, the current ruler of 4 continents. I plan to expand my territory here next, so I sent a little gift. I hope you will enjoy it, and don’t worry, I’ll send more in the future. If you survive that is AHAHAHAHAHA”(Zaladin)

After that, the whole city was in total chaos. Monsters appeared everywhere, and people were getting killed one after another. I started killing every monster in sight, but more keeps popping out. The humanoid started attacking the citizens, so I punched it upwards. I jumped to the humanoid, and started attacking it to stall for time. When I looked around, a monster was moving to the king.

“Tsk” Since I couldn’t move around that much while in midair. The only thing I could do was to keep attacking the humanoid, and simply watch as the king gets killed by the monster...or so I thought. The monster was cut in half, and the king was standing gracefully. He had a sword in hand, which he raised before shouting.

“EVERY KNIGHT AND ADVENTERURS PRESENT, HELP EVACUATE THE CITIZEN!” The king started to go down, and cut monsters in front of him. He helped the citizens get out, and a little bit after that knights entered the dome, and help kill the monsters.

The humanoid kept regenerating no matter how much I attacked it. So I used a special spell.

“Void” I sent black flames to humanoid, but was deflected back to me. I small flame touched my body, and slowly started to spread.

“I am Azrahel, one of the 11 artificial gods that were created by lord Zaladin.”(Azrahel)

He moved closer to me, and kicked me back to the ground. The black flames were still spreading around me body…and it hurts a lot. He roared, and cracks started to appear from the sky. Flying monsters started descending from the cracks.

“I am here to kill every mortal in this continent, and none of you can stop me.”(Azrahel)
