《A Succubus System? But I'm a Virgin!》Chapter 06 - An Unexpected Savior

Two large wings were hiding my body. I slowly stepped back from the group of adventurers while trying my best to show them nothing of my unprotected body. It was too late for this, far too late. Those men have seen everything, and they were still staring at me. Now that my chest and buttocks were hidden behind wyvern-like wings, their judging gazes were after my face instead. Just thinking about what they had seen just now was enough to send a fiery heat into my face.
The burning red wasn't exactly helping the case, instead, it felt as if their stares were only getting more intense. At least one of the two women was helping me, knowingly or unknowingly, by forcing the guy who was likely her boyfriend to avoid his eyes.
"Shouldn't we attack her?" The other girl suddenly asked.
I felt a shiver waving over my skin. It was obvious they would see me as a threat, this was a demon's body after all! In their position, I would most likely think exactly the same!
«They will kill me! They will kill me!!»
The succubus didn't seem to care at all. She was cheerfully commenting on everything she saw and felt.
「You don't need to be afraid, Flatty! Don't those guys look preeetty~ interested in you?」
"How does that change anything?"
「Just tempt them! It is three guys. They are the majority! They will talk down on that bitch!」
"I won't seduce them!"
「But you need their life force, you know? I'm hungry! You should feel it, too!」
"I would rather starve than seduce them!"
A lively discussion started in the adventurers' group. I only realized what they were talking about when Meja finally went silent again.
"She talked to herself," one of the men commented. "Maybe she is mentally ill?"
"Shouldn't she just see a healer for that?" His girlfriend asked.
"Do demons have healers in the first place?"
"Why shouldn't they?"
"Maybe they exiled her," the youngest of them decided. "She wears shackles!"
"You are right."

"Did they exile her because she didn't want to seduce humans?"
"Why wouldn't she?!" A black-haired man asked. "With that body of hers, she could easily seduce anybody she wants."
«Se- seduce ...»
"Don't talk about my body like that! I would never seduce a man! Never!"
Something in their expressions changed. They seemed astonished at first, then a slight read appeared on their faces. I could only look at them questioningly.
«What?»
「They will totally think you are a lesbian now, Flatty!」
"I'm not!"
「Don't worry. Men are into that, too. Maybe they are even more interested in "getting to know you" now.」
"Don't call it like that!"
The boyfriend sighed. "We can't let her leave her like that, she is a demon, after all."
"You really want to kill her?" The blond boy couldn't believe what he had just heard. "Why?! She doesn't seem dangerous at all!"
"I won't wait for her to become a danger ..."
"What are you planning to do?"
"I will get rid of her."
"She is a woman!"
"As if I didn't know that ..."
The man stepped forward. His eyes carried pity in them, but there was also a strong determination. When he pulled forth his sword and slowly began closing in on me, always ready to fend off an attack should I try to defend myself, I became petrified.
«They will kill me! They will kill me!»
「You could still choose to fight, you know?」 Meja suggested.
"I would never fight humans!"
「What about bandits then?」 She asked. 「Or murderers? What about them?」
"That is something totally different! It would be only defending myself!"
「That guy is a murderer, you know? He wants to kill you.」
"No! He isn't!"
「Flatty! He will kill you if you don't do anything! You are an adventurer for fucking sake!」
"I won't kill him!"
「Then hurt him! Just make him run away!」
"But-"
「Do you really want to die?」 She asked. 「Without seeing your stupid Michel?」

«Michel ...»
She was right. If I really wished to see him again, I had to fight back now. I had no kind of weapon, so there was only magic for me to use.
«A magic that won't hurt him ...»
The succubus body naturally had a strong affinity to the darkness attribute, like many demons had, but it also had affinities towards Fire, Air, Earth and water. The most surprising one, however, was the light attribute, which was just as strong as the opposing darkness. I didn't know much about succubi, but I knew they were well adapted in illusion magic, but I never expected it was to such an extent.
«I don't even know what "S" rank means!»
「USE IT!」 Meja screamed in my mind. 「JUST USE ANY MAGIC! I don't want to die without getting some good men before!」
"WHO CARES ABOUT-"
The man's attack cut off my words. Taken by surprise, I only managed to jump backward and, having narrowly avoided his blade, promptly crashed into a tree instead.
«It hurts!»
「YOU STUPID VIRGIN! FIGHT!」
«He will kill me! He will kill me if I don't fight!!»
I hurriedly began chanting the first magic spell that came to my mind.
"Cilia, goddess of the sun and mother of life-"
"A healing spell?!"
It wasn't. When I had finished the light magic, unhindered by the man who thought I was lunatic enough to try to heal my wounds while fighting him at the same time, a large ball of light appeared in between us. I immediately turned around, closed my eyes and hid myself between both of my wings and arms.
"PAUL!!" A woman's voice rang in my ears.
An almost inaudible explosion hit my exposed back with both heat and energy. My eyes hurt from all the light it had brought forth, but I didn't wait for them to calm down again. The man trying to kill me wouldn't be blinded forever, especially if he had somehow managed to close his eyes on time.
«I have to get away!»
I didn't make it far. Before I even had reached the lake I planned to use to deny the men from attacking me, I could already hear one of the girls chanting her magic spell. Within seconds, a series of fireballs were already released onto me. Most of them missed me, thanks to the light magic blinding her eyes, but I didn't stay that lucky. Before my feet had even touched the water, a blazing heat hit my back and made me topple over.
「FLATTY!!」 Meja's panicked voice echoed through my head.
"IT HURTS! IT HURTS SO MUCH!"
The man didn't let me escape. As soon as he had recovered his eyesight, he came run towards me. I tried to flee, to escape his grasp, but my body had long become petrified, unable to move or react to his attack. When I tried to at least chant a magic, my voice was shaking so much that it cruelly backfired on me. My mana exploded in my veins before the blades of ice I had tried to summon even had formed. A few dozen pieces of ice fell to the ground, doing no damage at all.
"MY ARMS! WHY- IT HURTS!"
"This is your end, demon!" The man declared, his voice carrying both rage and pity. "I'm sorry ..."
"NOOO!! HELP ME! SOMEBODY!"
He didn't even listen as he wordlessly prepared his sword. One last time I tried to cast a magic spell, but my body was far too damaged to even control the mana. I was forced to cancel it, at the cost of yet another burning injury spreading in my arms.
Just as the man was about to swing his sword and end my life, a series of deafening roars came over us. The adventurer panicky spun around, only to immediately become petrified by the sight of a large horde of bull demons charging through the forest and towards us. They trampled down everything that passed their path, even small trees!
A faint trickle went down his legs and into his boots. "Wha-"
"MOOOO!!!"
⊱————- Extra ————-⊰
???: MOOO!!
Meja: Yes! Show him!
???: MOO!!
Meja: You are the best!
???: MO-OO!!
Meja: Such a strong, brave man~ ahh~

Travelers [DROPPED]
DROPPED. The story focuses less on dungeon building than on the why of dungeons and how they fit into the universal order. While I am working from a grand plot, the writing is going slice of life style because I need to do that to work out how things progress into that grand plot. The original story seed idea / synopsis is below. The Grand Tapestry protects Rhofhir from Primal Chaos by imposing Order via patterns. However, the patterns grow stiff, stagnant, and so the Tapestry is nearing a time of Unraveling. Evidence of past civilizations wiped out during previous Unravelings foreshadow the apocalyptic catastrophe looming over the world. The mages of the Arcane Asylum reach out across dimensions, searching for some way to prevent, or at least stall, the coming Unraveling. Among the many voices they find is a gifted graduate student researching machine-assisted telepathy -- and his gaming group. Lena never expected that the chance to play DnD with telepathy would result in her becoming an actual Dungeon Master, nor that her friends could become the bosses of her dungeon. This is, in many ways, her dream come true, but there's a catch: What happened to Brad, the creator of that telepathy machine?

Homeland
NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLER -- In Cory Doctorow’s wildly successful Little Brother, young Marcus Yallow was arbitrarily detained and brutalized by the government in the wake of a terrorist attack on San Francisco—an experience that led him to become a leader of the whole movement of technologically clued-in teenagers, fighting back against the tyrannical security state.A few years later, California's economy collapses, but Marcus’s hacktivist past lands him a job as webmaster for a crusading politician who promises reform. Soon his former nemesis Masha emerges from the political underground to gift him with a thumbdrive containing a Wikileaks-style cable-dump of hard evidence of corporate and governmental perfidy. It’s incendiary stuff—and if Masha goes missing, Marcus is supposed to release it to the world. Then Marcus sees Masha being kidnapped by the same government agents who detained and tortured Marcus years earlier.Marcus can leak the archive Masha gave him—but he can’t admit to being the leaker, because that will cost his employer the election. He’s surrounded by friends who remember what he did a few years ago and regard him as a hacker hero. He can’t even attend a demonstration without being dragged onstage and handed a mike. He’s not at all sure that just dumping the archive onto the Internet, before he’s gone through its millions of words, is the right thing to do.Meanwhile, people are beginning to shadow him, people who look like they’re used to inflicting pain until they get the answers they want. Fast-moving, passionate, and as current as next week, Homeland is every bit the equal of Little Brother—a paean to activism, to courage, to the drive to make the world a better place.
