Mason looks up from his coloring book giving me a huge smile and runs to hug my legs "I mwissed you mommy."

I grab and put him on my waist kissing his chubby cheeks "I missed you too, what were you doing."

"Coloring." Oh and sure enough he was coloring, coloring all over my table.

Letting out an exhausted breath I look at him "Mason you can't color on my table only your books."

"Sorry mummy."

I put him down watching him run back to his books.

What a day. First Micheal and then his mistress how much more can life hate me I mean seriously.

Sitting down I let out a long breath. Finally now I can-my phone starts ringing. Great.

Answering the call without looking I say "Hello."

"Mais! Hey!"

I sit up with wide eyes, it's my best friend Dimitri.

"Hey how are you! I missed you."

Hearing a chuckle on the other line he says "I've missed you too, how's my little boy."

I laugh he has always wanted Mason to be his by blood but hearing him call him dad is good enough for him "He's fine but my tables aren't, he colored all over them."

Another laugh is heard "Ah that's my boy."

"Dimitri!"

"Sorry love, I'll be back tonight."

My lips perk up hearing this, Dimitri stays at my house since I'm at work a lot so he decided to take care of Mason almost like a stay at home dad but he owns a business "Okay I'll tell Mason."

"What? You're not excited?"

I scoff, here we go "Of course I am."

"Mhm sure babe."

I feel heat on my cheeks, I kind of maybe sort of have liked Dimitri ever since we met again after moving back "Whatever just hurry up."

"Oh feisty, I love it."

"Bye Dimitri."

"Bye Maisy." I end the call.

"Mason, Dimitri is coming home tonight."

He yells and runs to me giving me a hug,

"Mummy-"

We hear a knock on the door "Stay here okay?"

He nods taking my phone and I get up. I know it's not Dimitri and my other friend Ellie is back home visiting and will be back next week.

I open the door and gasp, how did he find us?

"Maisy."

"Micheal."
