Will passed out after Tim and Adder left. He had the strangest dream. He saw stars all around him that were constantly changing colors. I don't want to die. What did I do to deserve this? Will I actually die? Will watched as the stars around him all turned into a golden color. He then felt nothing but agony. The stars around him disappeared and he woke up. All he felt was agony and he was surrounded by over a hundred vermillion deer. Will looked up and saw stars in the middle of the day and these stars were golden. Wills entire body started to itch. He looked down and his entire body was surrounded with a golden light. His ears, eyes and lower back started burning. His arms started itching and he watched as his arms started to regrow before his very eyes. He watched as bone regrew first then muscle tissue and then finally skin. The rope that was around Will burned away. Will stood up and felt more alive than ever. Will took a stance and roared. "YOU THINK I WILL LAY DOWN AND ACCEPT DEATH. TIM, YOU AND ADDER WILL PAY WITH BLOOD." Will ran directly into the horde of vermillion deer. He started slashing and slashing until he felt he was going to collapse and still continued. Blood flowed through the forest and more vermillion deer arrived. Wave after wave arrived, and wave after wave perished. Will slaughter hour after hour until no more vermin arrived and he finally collapsed. As he passed out the pain and agony he felt finally hit its maximum. All he dreamed was a golden light that would constantly flow into his body. When he awoke the agony he felt was finally gone. He looked down into the blood that surrounded them and nearly passed out again. Will's hair changed from black to a blue so dark it seemed to absorb the very light that hit it. His ears were elongated, pointed and covered in fur. And he also had a tail that was about two and a half foot long that was bushy and the same color as his hair. His eyes also changed, inside the black were flecks of gold. Don't freak out Will. Maybe this isn't as bad as it looks. Will thought to himself. Wait what is that a red and a blue and a green bar at the bottom left of my vision. Will was extremely confused. He pulled up the celestial system: Tabs: Injuries Skills Maps Main: Name: Willenstark Kraft-Will Race: ??-Tailed celestial fox Strength : 12 Agility : 11 Intelligence : 13 Charisma : 0 Luck : -15 Mana : 30 Mana Manipulation : 10 Vitality : 15 Endurance : 18 Willpower: 20 Light manipulation: 5 Will was confused. Wait, I'm not human!?!? I Wonder if anything else changed. Will thought as he tried to select the skills tab. Skills: Light magic: Healing light Will was excited but then became more confused. Healing light, what does that do? As Will thought this, he received a voice notification that was played directly into his head. "Healing light- the ability to manipulate light into healing others. Also grants the passive effect of automatically healing in the light." As Will heard this and came over the shock of the system actually responding to him, he noticed the sun was setting. Oh no, it's starting to get dark, and according to this information Healing light only works during the day. Will thought as he rushed to collect the vermillion deer cores. He then ran out of the forest towards the border, the bus already made its last run. Will arrived at the border just before they were about to close. Instead of staying at the hotel, he ran straight back to the academy. He ran straight to the headmaster's office without stopping. He drew a lot of stares considering he was covered from head to toe in blood and his clothes were completely shredded and his cloak was lost before his fight with the vermin. The headmaster nearly jumped out of his chair when will stormed into his office covered in blood. " Who are you?" The headmaster said as he currently didn't recognize him. "It is me, Will," Will said as he tried to catch his breath. "What are you doing here." The headmaster asked as he stared at Will. " Tim and Adder tried to kill me," Will replied flatly. "Really? If you are lying you will get demoted immediately and will be suspended for two months. " The headmaster said, not believing him. "I would also like a letter of recommendation. I don't belong here and I am heading home." Will said flatly to the headmaster. "Why? You do realize we are in a state of extreme danger." The headmaster asked loudly as he jumped out of his chair and explained the reason for the monthly exams. " I would like to go to the academy in my hometown. As you said as long as one academy wins we will be fine. But know this, if I get put with someone from Lunsford academy, I will not hold back." Will replied. " Very well but know this our academy was placed as the number one academy for aspiring knights." The headmaster said solemnly. "Why give up this chance of fighting with the number one academy against other nations, any other academy besides ours has to go through many elimination matches." "So that I am closer to the ones that I care about. I thought that I could make them proud by going to this academy but I've realized that I miss them and wish to be near them more so that I can help them when the need arises." Will said flatly. " Alright, I will write you a letter of recommendation but I still think that this is a waste of your talents." The headmaster said with a defeated sigh. " Thank you," Will said as he went to turn in his swords. " Keep them, you will need them in the future and I want you to take them so that you will remember us in the future." The headmaster said as he handed Willa letter of recommendation. Will left the academy and headed to his home town, Blenheim. I really didn't fit in at this academy, hopefully, I will do better at the one back home. I still need to find a way to get back at Tim and Adder, even though the headmaster didn't state that he believed me, I'm sure he would have done nothing to them as punishment. I just hope mom and dad will not be disappointed. Will thought as he tried to relax on his run. He drew a lot of glances as he ran home covered in blood and uncloaked, especially his tail. He arrived home about an hour later and drew the stares of his neighbors. When he opened the door he expected a shriek or yelp or something besides what actually happened. He was wrapped up in a hug by Shawn and Melany. " Son, What happened?" Shawn asked as he finally gained the courage to ask. Will recalled the events of what happened in the dark zone and both his foster parents started crying, then for the first time in years, Will started crying as well. " What are you going to do now, Will," Melany asked as they were still in a group hug. "I have plans on going to an academy near here and also working part-time in the café," Will said as he stifled a yawn he left out the tournament. "Well, tomorrow we will go get your things and then we will go to Blenheim academy to get you registered, I am friends with the headmaster, we may be able to get you an early registration but you still have to take the exams. Head to bed, your room is still the way you left it." Shawn said as he wiped away tears. "Okay, dad," Will replied as he climbed the stairs to his room. Before Will went to sleep he took a shower and cleaned up. As he laid in bed he thought over what happened over the course of the day. His thoughts went to the celestial system and the bars at the bottom of his vision. This is strange and will take a while to get used to. the green bar must be my stamina considering how it went down as I ran home, but what are the other two. Will's thoughts constantly drifted about the celestial system as he fell asleep. When Will woke up instead of dressing in his normal cloak he wore a black shirt instead. When he walked downstairs he ate breakfast with his parents. He ate five fried eggs, and four biscuits smothered in gravy followed with three mugs of coffee. Will and Shawn drove to Lunsford academy in the old truck that was used for shipments at the café. As Will went to collect his stuff from his dorm he noticed he was followed. Will ignored them considering he drew a lot of attention without wearing a cloak. After they put the last box of Wills stuff into the back of the truck, Will felt someone poke his shoulder. When Will looked to see who it was, he punched them as hard as he could in their face and felt their jaw turn into mush and teeth shattered. When the instructors arrived, Will was long gone and they picked up and carried what used to look like Tim and carried him to the infirmary. "Who was that?" Shawn asked as they drove to the academy. " That was my old pal Tim, I thought I couldn't leave without giving him a goodbye present," Will said with a chuckle. "If I knew it was him I would have given him a present as well," Shawn said as he pulled into the Blenheim academy. "Time for a new start," Will told himself as he walked into the academy without a cloak and with a smile for the first time.

Midthalion Saga
+++Working on new chapters. Share what I've posted with your friends and family! Be sure to build strong bonds with those who are important to you. We only have each other in this world for so long!+++ Can Roderick XXIII gather together and train a party of adventurers to clear out Madeon Caves and bring peace to the wildmarches of Midthalion? Sent from his home monastery in the west to the wildmarches of Midthalion, Roderick the Holy Avenger is devoted to living out his oath to bring the Holy Light to the dark corners of the world. He enlists the help of an old friend, Ulrich Vogelbrandt the dwarf druid, to train and prepare a fighting force capable of defending the west from the evil they both see gathering and growing in the east. Eoroth is an ode to Tolkienesque epic fantasy, Robert E Howard and H.P. Lovecraft's pulp fiction, and Gygaxian Dungeons & Dragons. I like to write about serious topics because I think it's fun. I hope it makes for a fun read. Place: Eoroth, a vast, flat world with many continents set in oceans that reach out and mingle with the Celestial Sea. Our story takes place on the continent of Thalion in the middle, unsettled region called Midthalion. Peoples: Races in Eoroth aren't different species; the species of man is just incredibly diverse, consisting of many known races (and perhaps some unknown). There are no humans in Thalion. Thalion's races include variations of elves, dwarves, halflings (billowits), pierros (clownish men), bergeracs (long-nosed and swarthy men of honour), orcs, trolls, goblins, and hobgobs. The Church: There's one dominant religion in Westhalion. The faith of the elves is an analogue to Roman Catholicism while the dwarves practice an Eastern Orthodox analogue. (Forgive me for not having figured out names yet.) The practitioners worship a triune god (the All-Father, Son-of-All, and Holy Light). There are many powers in heaven, all created by God. These include the Twelve High Thrones, individual, created beings who take on the role of guiding mankind in different aspects, drawing them closer and closer to God. (That should be the essentials. I could write pages on the theology. Comment where something's unclear in the story.) Natural World: There are plants and animals in Eoroth, but the world is also inhabited by spirits called aeons. Aeons are transformative beings; in the wild, they'll change based on whatever is happening nearby. Pollute a pond? Expect to see toxic toad-men running around. Leave a bunch of dead bodies strewn across a battlefield? Expect the place to become haunted with ghouls and ghasts. Druids are important for making sure that the aeons are pacified; that their needs are met so that they don't become rampaging monsters. Where the wilderness becomes overgrown, so too do the aeons. Aeons and People: Long ago, men learned how to trap aeons in stone tablets and use them for war. Now, anyone can capture an aeon into a special staff made by a druid. Men train, raise, and bond with these aeons. Druids often build entire ranches devoted to raising healthy aeons as allies and companions. Aeons are divided into twelve known families, and the church sees these as corresponding with the Twelve Thrones in Heaven. Direction: My goal is to get the story to one million words by June next year. I have tons of content in mind for the world. I want to release novels set in different ages of the world depicting different historical events. I hope to expand the setting into a tabletop role-playing game as well as a series of old-school JRPGs. But, it all begins with writing some stories and publishing my novels.
