Leaving the Shrine + 1156 Days.
"That dragon sure was a pain in the ass to beat, huh?" Hora plopped down on the inn bed with Yiina next to him.
"I mean, it was the country that wanted us to invade that dragon's territory. It would have been way harder if they didn't send imperial soldiers." I added while lying in my separate bed. Armour on.
"I was still the one who worked the most today... Don't forget that. I am the Calamity Slayer!"
"Sure sure... whatever you say." Yiina patted his head.
I turned away.
I was tired as tired can be. They were tired too probably. Yiina basically single-handedly healed our small army. Hora blew the dragons sheath off.
They were going to sleep presumably.
After that things quietened down. Until they get loud again.
"FOR FUCK'S SAKE I'M IN THE ROOM YOU TWO!!!" I didn't turn around.
"I NEED A REWARD OKAY?!"
"URGH!" I couldn't argue with them, I didn't have the strength to.
I made it abundantly clear that I was pissed and headed down to the baths. It was late at night, and no one else was around.
So I set up a barrier and got into the chamber... Armour off.
My reflection in the water made me realise that I was already 16. My hair had grown long and was still that perverted purple in colour. It was all puffy too because of the rain.
I buried my head under and the reflection showed long draping hair now.
The look of happiness and excitement that I had when I started was gone. The person in the reflection staring back at me was devoid of humanity.
Feeling goodwill didn't make me motivated it desensitized me from happiness.
I killed demons, I killed men... The head priest got killed by the Duke who tried to use me as a pawn. The Duke died after I found out. Demons begged for their lives. The beast's tried to save their children. But I had to kill them nonetheless. There were battles. There were quests. I looked for armour. Fell in traps.

I was numb to everything.
*Hufff* The sigh turned into bubbles as I buried my face underwater.
"How long do I have to live like this? Can't the Demon Lord just die already?" I was already sick of it all.
That night- I the greatest Hero of all time. The kuudere mysterious beauty everyone respected and adored. Slept on the grass outside the inn.
