“I need you to come to the apartment, bring Mic and one other pro hero you trust with Null’s life. He’s been taken, and we’re getting him back,”
Shouta stood up so fast he knocked Mic from his spot on his lap. He grunted, looking up at him, “What the fuck, Sho?”
“Get changed into your costume. Izu got kidnapped and we need to meet up with Yui.” He rushed to the bedroom to switch out his clothes and grab weapons.
“What? What happened?” His husband shrieked and ran into the room to change into his hero attire.
“She didn’t say, she’ll brief us when we get there. We need to get Nem. Yui asked for a third pro hero we trust.” He wrapped the capture weapon around his neck and pulled on the goggles. “Do your hair there, Zashi.”
He swore as he grabbed what he needed, shoving his feet in his boots. “Okay, let’s go.”
Nemuri was ready when they pulled up to her apartment, getting into the backseat. “Woah, where’s the fire?” She asked as Shouta sped off.
“You know the two vigilantes we told you about?” Mic asked, waiting for her to nod. “One of them was kidnapped, and the other one called us in and asked us for a pro we trusted.”
“What?! The ones that are basically your kids?! Which one was taken?” She asked, leaning forward.
“Null. The younger boy. That’s all we know. We’re heading to Control.” Shouta said, pulling up to an apartment building. They got out and went to the building, finding the third floor and the door marked 3H. Mic pressed on the doorbell.
Himiko opened the door, blinking gold eyes up at them before she grinned. “Eraser!” She had a…a pink switchblade pointed at them.
“Hey kiddo, I brought Present Mic and Midnight. Yui sent for us.” Shouta took a step forward.
“Come on, Himi, let them in.” he heard Yui call out. The blonde nodded and stepped inside, leaving the group to follow.
The walked in to Yui wearing an all black body suit, she didn’t have on her face mask but she had the comm in her ear, the taser staff on the thigh holster, the grappling brace on her right arm and the steel enforced boots. Her goggles pushed up and holding her bangs away from her eyes. Her hands were covered in black fingerless gloves, and had a section free for her palm.
“Okay, you’re here. Mic, you can get finished in the bathroom, that door,” she pointed it out, “I’m almost ready and then I’ll brief everyone.”
Mic went to do what she said. Shouta walked over to her, “Hey, kiddo. We’ll get him back.”

She unrolled a piece of canvas to reveal sharp sapphire-like blades, the metal designed to glisten like the gemstone. He watched those teal eyes darken even further before she started to strap them into varies sheaths.
“Oh, Yui-chan, those are so pretty! You’ve never pulled those out before.” Himi bounced forward, peering over her shoulder.
“They were my mother’s. They are ideal for what I mean to accomplish.” Her voice dropped into a monotone. She handed the blonde a pink comm. “Here, so we can communicate, I added a new channel so Null’s comm can’t connect.”
“What about your comm?” Dabi asked, leaning against the wall as he watched the heroes enter.
“I’ll be able to switch.” She handed him a bright blue one, before she held out her hand, “Your comm, please.” Eraser took it out and put it in her hand. She knelt in front of her computer, plugging in a cord before she typed. Mic came back out with his hair done. Shouta grabbed his headphones and handed those over to her and she handed him back his yellow comm, and a dark purple one.
“I had a feeling it’d be Midnight. Okay, done…” She handed the headphones back to Mic. “To start, Null was taken about seven hours ago. I was contacted by the man who took him, and was able to get a picture of him from a crappy camera when he took Null.”
The vigilante pointed out the man and the girl, “This is Dabi and Himiko Toga. They’re family to Null and me. I called them here before I found out who we were up against. The man who has Null is Voltage, the boss of the crime syndicate Ultraviolet. His Quirk allows him to control electricity in the air, and generate it along his arms, and he can fuck with electronics. That’s why I can’t trace him.” She gave information quickly but watched them to make sure they were following.
“I did research on their hideouts when we were dealing with Caustic. There are three active ones. So unfortunately, we need to split up and attack at the same time. One pro and one of us to a team.” She looked at the pros.
Midnight raised her hand, “Why are we splitting up? If these are active wouldn’t there be larger groups of villains? Shouldn’t we be getting backup?”
“If we attack one location at a time and Null isn’t at the first, we give them time to warn Voltage so he either kills Null or escapes with him. And we’re both wanted vigilantes, and two civilians. Either I won’t be believed, or I won’t be able to go. I’m not risking that. We should probably have Granny Chiyo on standby. I…I don’t think we’ll find Null in good condition.” Her voice cracked before she took a deep breath, looking up at them with a fire in her eyes.

“I wasn’t planning on bringing you into this, if I had a set location, I would have kept you out of this. This could risk your careers if it’s revealed you’re working with me…but I have no one else I can trust…”
Shouta put his hand on her shoulder, “We aren’t going anywhere, kid. We’ll help you get Null back.”
“Yeah! He’s our green bean too!” Mic declared as he wrapped her in a side hug.
He saw the kid blink away tears before she looked up at Nemuri. The woman sighed, shaking her head, “You two are hopeless. You said they weren’t your kids, Sho. It’s obvious they are. And you know what?” She flashed them a grin, before pulling the girl into a hug, “It means I’m a fucking Aunt dammit! Let’s go get my nephew!”
Shouta hid a soft smile in his capture weapon, even as he saw some tears fall as the vigilante hugged her newfound aunt tight. “So, who goes with who?”
Yui cleared her throat as she backed up, “Right, Midnight, you’re with Dabi. His flames are very much an offense. Himiko is with Mic, her Quirk is good for infiltration, but she’s skilled at martial arts and just good with knives in general. Don’t be surprised if she changes into me, I gave her some of my blood. Eraser is with me, he knows how I fight.”
“You’ve never fought with knives before.” He pointed out.
“I’ve never fought with knives in front of you. Trust me, my mother made sure I was efficient, and I didn’t let myself get rusty.” She corrected. “Now, if we’re ready, Dabi and Himi already have-“ She cut off before she hit a button on her phone, a deep voice rumbling out.
“Control! I’ve been waiting and getting bored! Your little partner is only so entertaining, you know. I’ll make you a deal. I’ll send you my location in three hours. But who knows if Null will still be alive?”
“How do I know he’s alive now?” She asked, trying to keep her voice calm but a little shakiness worked its way in.
“I was hoping you’d ask. Brat, say something for your Nee-chan. She’s so worried about you.” The sound of flesh being hit could be heard over the comm, along with the little pained whimper.
“Nee-chan…I’m so sorry…don’t come!” Another punch sounded out, cutting off whatever else he was going to say.
“See? He’s still alive. I found the suit under his clothes makes it hard to hit him and cut him. So that had to go. I see Caustic left his mark on the kid. Really, Control, bringing in a child and then not protecting him? You’re as much a villain as I am. Well, clock’s ticking. Don’t disappoint me.” Before the comm went dead they all heard the crackle of electricity before a high pitched scream was ripped out of her brother.
The room was silent for a moment, all staring at the phone in her hand with a mix of emotions on their faces. Fear, anger, disgust…Yui shoved the phone into her pocket.
“What do we do, Yui-chan?” Himiko asked, her voice shaking and tears shining in her eyes, but they didn’t fall. The girl turned to her, her eyes and the tips of her hair glowing like neon as her anger made her lose just a bit of control.
“Now…we go hunting. And this prey isn’t going to escape.”
Izuku’s skin was on fire, the muscles occasionally tensing up as residual electricity jolted through him. His left eye was swollen shut, and his nose was broken. His chest and stomach were covered in bruises from Voltage’s fists. His arms had thin, branching burns that ran in jagged jolted lines in his skin from his electricity.
His breathing was ragged, he’d tried not to show how much it hurt; he could handle the punches, even after he’d taken off the protective suit he had on, at least he’d let him keep the leggings. It wasn’t until he gripped his arms and electricity had crackled along his skin that he’d let out a scream.
He blinked, looking up at the man as he stepped closer to him. He grit his teeth as he fisted his fingers in his hair and jerked his head up. “I thought you’d want her here with you? Don’t you want your nee-chan?” He asked, his voice taunting him as his lips stretched in a wolfish grin.
“Y-you just want to hurt her…I don’t want her here if she’s going to go through this.” He growled through his teeth, like hell he would want Yui-nee here!
“Well, we’ll see what happens first. She has three hours. And kid, I’m going to have fun with you while we wait.” He dropped his head before he walked over to the cart he had wheeled in at some point. He lifted up a hammer, turning back to him with that grin, “Are you ready, kid?
