My dear readers,
I am very sorry to not have a new chapter for you and to have taken so long to say anything to you about my disappearance. While I have been TRYING to work on these dream sequences, they are maddening. They are driving me absolutely bonkers. That and I took a step back to give my mind a chance to work things out. Then I started working on a new story; one that I will not post because it is far too personal and a fanfic that's only for me. While working on that story and this one, I have also been working during the day and we've had a lot of turnover. And as the holidays get closer, this isn't really a good thing. It's super stressful to have to deal with training new people in one of the busiest times even with the virus. While I know this is not an excuse to not continue writing, I really haven't had as much motivation to write as normal. During stressful times, my ideas get stuck in the gears of my mind and are harder to extract. That and I lost a good chunk of my story when my computer froze and I had to force it to restart without saving what I had. Luckily, most of what I lost was already posted here so I was able to transfer it back to the document. Rest assured, I am slowly working on this story. VERY SLOWLY. I thank everyone who has stuck with me for this long; three years is a long time y'all. I thank everyone for their comments, ratings and favorites. It's thanks to all of you and a really good friend that I continue working on this story. My promise to you, my dear readers, is to not completely abandon this story. I will continue it, even if posting chapters takes forever.

There, a puma weyre rescued him, and a shyani shaman helped him find his true self and offered a rebirth, a life with no more lies, and an important role to fill. Now a shaman and healer in her own right, Vixen who was once Corin learns that the one human who mattered to her in her previous life, then a fellow University student, has come into possession of an old shyani book, and the more fanatical shyani and weyres will stop at nothing to reclaim it and punish Jared. Even though it means going back into the lowlands and facing Jared as a woman, she can’t bear to just look the other way. This should be a short visit, just long enough to see the book into the proper hands and make sure Jared will not be killed for having it, and then she can return to the shyani community that has accepted her as their shaman. And, of course, her feline best friend Dayr insists on coming with her. But Jared is now a Lord, with considerable wealth and power, and his response to her presence isn’t one she expected. After years living with the shyani, she sees everything around her from a new perspective, and that makes it difficult to keep to the plan of making as few waves as possible.
