《Hero Status: Revoked》Arc 1 - 35 - The Test

When Kyle woke up the next day, he was a little sore from swinging the heavy sword. After stretching for a while and testing his ki pathways, which were still being repaired, Elena woke up too.
Elena had a little less than 4,000 coins on her, which if not for the 6,000 she saw taken from the bandits when they were distributed, it would have been the most she had ever seen.
The two of them ate breakfast in the inn, and then went to the Ministry of Magic in the east side. Just like Thornberry, the noble's houses were in the eastern part of the city, and businesses that provided a service were also located there.
Vegaville was much larger place than Thornberry, and it deserved to be called a city. Kyle was not going to let someone get the upper hand on him again, so he was following Elena closely and used his lightning-tiger speed to keep any pickpockets away.
They had to take a few streets and even took a couple wrong turns, but they eventually found the Ministry of Magic. The building was large like the inn, and it had 3 floors.
The entrance to it was marble and looked very expensive, and when Elena and Kyle walked in, the inside was amazing. The floor was a while and black marble and the walls were a clean white. To the front of them was a desk with a stereotypical secretary working at it. Huge knockers and big round glasses. There was a stack of paper on the desk and some pens with internal ink.
"Can I help you?" The secretary asked as Kyle and Elena came up to the desk.
"Can you use healing magic? Because I just broke my leg falling for you." Kyle stood just a foot taller than the desk the woman sat at, and needless to say he was not the secretary's type.

"I'm sorry little boy, but can I speak with your mommy for a little while?" The secretary made a childish face and mocked Kyle. It seemed like mocking to Kyle, but it was probably ordinary for a woman that had to speak with children every day.
"I'm sorry about that, we are here to get his magic types tested." Elena gave a certain look to Kyle and then turned to speak with the secretary.
"That's okay, just fill out this form while you wait in that line right there." The secretary gave Elena a paper, a pen, and a board to put the paper against while writing on it. The paper had spots for the name and birth date. Elena, knowing only the letters for the names of her family and her childrens' birth dates, wrote these down and then she sat with Kyle in line.
The line had a girl and a boy in it. As Kyle was about to get up and start the 'I'm new in town' event, the girl was motioned to come into the room across from where they were all sitting.
An old man came from the door and waved for the girl to come in as a little girl and her mother walked out.
"This is really good Shoulta, Fire Ice and Wind." The mother was rubbing her daughter's back as they walked out the building. Wind was known to be a weak type, and the girl was probably upset about that. From Kyle's experience in this time though, 3 types was something to be proud of.
The other girl came out with a smile on her and her mother's face, so she must have done well. The boy and his father went in and then came out again a few minutes later also smiling. In this time, one more girl had joined the line for waiting.

"Next!" The old man said as the boy and his father walked out, and then Kyle and Elena moved forward towards the room. Inside the room was also marble, and in the center was a white desk with a clear crystal ball.
"Hello." Elena said as she followed the man into the room and sat down in a chair on one side of the desk. Kyle sat in the middle of three chairs and Elena sat on the left.
'I can't wait to see this guy's face when he sees my 6 types.' Kyle did not know much about the experts of magic in this new time, just that having 3 types was considered good.
"Hello, I am Thomas Engen and I will be conducting the test. This is really very simple. Just place both your hands on the crystal ball and it will start to show what types of magic you can use." The man named Thomas Engen placed his hands on the crystal ball and inside of it appeared clouds of Red Blue Yellow and a light Gray. These represented Fire Ice Lightning and Wind. Brown would be for Earth and Green was for Healing.
"Okay." Kyle placed his hands on the crystal ball, and the same four clouds also appeared. The special thing was, however, that 4 additional clouds were there.
Kyle had the 6 standard colors, and then a Black cloud and a Gold cloud.
"This is..." Thomas looked at the orb and was puzzled.
"Please wait for a bit while I get Mr. Akira from the school to take a look at this." Thomas walked out of the room and once out the door he began to run. Eight colors had never been seen before, and even the Akira descendants only had 5 or 6 when tested.
'So... Mr. Akira huh.'
