《Hero Status: Revoked》Arc 1 - 32 - Bye Thornberry

Kyle would be leaving Thornberry in 3 days, and he didn't even need to start packing. Kyle had a total wardrobe of 4 pairs of pants, 5 shirts, and various underclothing. Wearing the same clothes for a few days was not an issue. Kathy had gotten her magic proficiency tested in Vegaville, so she knew what Kyle would need to do.
The first step would be to find the Ministry of Magic. The MoM was where magic proficiency test were conducted and magic cards were given out.
The second step was to perform the test with the crystal ball. This part used some item of unknown origin that would form clouds inside of it to indicate what types of magic someone was good at, and the clouds would glow a certain level of brightness for how good they were. It was generally accepted that those were the types of magic someone would have for the rest of their life but the level of ability could change to become bright. Most people started with dim and went to normal after finishing their time in the mage school.
The third part was to provide the necessary information to get the magic card. The magic card contained someone's name, birthday, magic types, and their brightness level. A birth certificate was needed, and Elena had one of them for Kyle, so they were fine.
Kyle was worried about the 2nd step because he could use all magic and was great at it too. He did not know what would happen when 6 colors showed in the crystal ball.
'Probably instantly get accepted into the Order of Wizards.' Kyle though, but it was unlikely. He would try to hide his mana and see what happens.
With 2 days before leaving, Kyle went to the library to try and get a book about magic, but without the magic card he was not allowed. Kyle tried to convince Mr. Reese to let him see one because he had known him for so long, but Mr. Reese did not cave. After this, Kyle went to the Drought home.

When Kyle went to see Claire, she could not keep herself off of him.
"I thought you were fine with me leaving?" Kyle asked her as she held him from behind.
"I lied." Claire was actually not fine with him going. Claire was sneaky, just like when she pretended to not know how to cast [Fireball].
"But Claire, I'll be back in less than a week." It would only be a few days, and Claire knew it.
"That's too long." Claire was not letting go.
"Okay how about this." Kyle tried to look back at Claire behind him, and she looked at his face from behind.
"How about I stay here overnight, that way when I go home tomorrow night you can just remember the whole day I spent here." Kyle thought it sounded like a good deal, he would be using a whole 24 hours of his time to be in close proximity to Claire.
"Yes! That will work!" Claire happily agreed to that and allowed Kyle to ask Kathy, who agreed. Kyle then went to ask Elena, and she agreed too. Dave was a little upset that it did not include him, but there would be nowhere for him to sleep, and Claire did not have the unhealthy obsession with him.
Kyle did not do anything special with Claire during the whole time he stayed over, and Claire didn't try anything strange until they were headed to sleep.
The couch was made out to be more like a bed a placed in Claire room against the wall. It was not a heavy couch, so Paul and Kathy moved it easily enough while giggling about it not being a real sleepover unless they slept in the same room.
"Hey Kyle, why can't you sleep in my bed?" Claire asked him as they tried to sleep.

"There isn't enough room Claire. I would fall out." Claire's bed was not large, but truthfully it could probably hold the both of them if they squeezed together, which Kyle was not going to do.
"But if we sleep together, we dream together." Claire had another one of her sparkling eyes moments as she looked at Kyle across the room.
"I think that still applies if we are just in the same room." Kyle was not going to be sleeping with Claire though, he had the couch and was going to use it.
"Really?" Claire asked, a little skeptical.
"Oh yeah, when you wake up tomorrow, just tell me what your dream was and I will tell you if I was in it too." Kyle closed his eyes and tried to sleep.
"Okay!" Then Claire tried to sleep too.
When the two of them woke up, Claire told Kyle about her dream and Kyle just repeated it back to her saying that he was there too.
She totally believed him.
They ate breakfast and did normal stuff for the rest of the day and Kyle left when it got a little dark outside.
The day after that, Elena and Kyle left with the merchants to travel to Vegaville.

Reincarnated as a Troll in a Dark Fantasy World
A troll wakes up in the "forest of beginning" of a fantasy world with only faint memories of his past human life and unable to speak. The human realm will spare no expense to bring down this monstruous threat. While clinging to his humanity, the troll must use his cunning and modern knowledge to survive and evade the hunters. It is a dark age in a world of swords and magic, ruled by superstition and iron-clad rules. Tradition and conformity are the absolute cornerstones of society. There is no calendar, people count time by seasons, or days. Death, famine and vicious monsters are everywhere. People clutch in their communities, afraid of what is outside. Here and there, a Hero rises, his tale brief like a shooting star. Powerful monsters that drift too close to human's realm must be eradicated at any cost, or society might crumble. The Troll comitted this sin. This "isekai' LitRPG novel is an experiment in writing. We commit to the "Adventure" and "Fantasy" genres, but it might have comedy, romance, and both dark and light tones. Some events in this novel are drawn from random encounter generators and others are decided on a die roll just like a tabletop RPG. Things take a unpredictable tone! Non constructive / offensive comments may be deleted without previous warning. Daily Updates: One each monday through friday, two on saturday and sunday. As of september, the updates will be every even-numbered day. Cover Credits: "Ett gammalt bergtroll" - John Bauer, 1904 (with modifications)

The Other World
Every living being becomes a Traveler while sleeping. This means that part of what is called “consciousness” detaches from the rest, carrying us towards worlds located in parts still unknown of the universe. Most of these places have things that inhabit only our dreams. Worlds were physics is not the same one we know. Where magic exists and mythological creatures walk amongst the people. Most of the Travelers become mere spectators in this world, unable to influence it. With some luck, they can go back to their bodies and wake up with the memory of a pleasant dream. Others do not have the same luck and end up stuck in the limbo, unable to return home. There is one other category of Travelers. These are the ones strong enough to create bodies and separate themselves from the life they had before. These Travelers start a new life without ever thinking about returning to the place they once called “home”. This story is about the last kind of Travelers and their trials in a world filled with spells, magical creatures and monsters. **

A Nation of Distances (possibly a dystopian love story)
Michael lives in a toxic macho world with extreme male hierarchy. When he gets a weird rating that makes his place even more problematic he's forced to choose a fiancée at a Wife School, and he slowly discovers more about the other side of the great divide between the sexes in The Nation. If only the world would stop being so complicated... On the other side there's Megan, who's more interested in books than in marriage, and the unpredictable Eliza who seems to have a connection with Micheal already. Will they be able to cross the distance and become friends against all the rules of their own world, or will they just be crushed? Are positive relationships between men and women even possible? And is there a way to change the world or is that just a naive thought of a silly wimp? 'A Nation of Distances' is a slightly dystopian dialogue-heavy drama set in a low sci-fi future setting about the war between the sexes, disconnect and friendship. The genre will fluctuate in between more slice-of-life parts and soft sci-fi drama with possible romantic elements, with alternating lead and switching perspectives once more of the main characters are established. Content Warning: Certain concepts and scenes might be disturbing and/or triggering to some, even though the story itself won't be extremely heavy most of the time. Sexism as a double-edged sword destructive to both sexes is an important part of the story, but so is friendship.Note that all descriptions of persons and places are purely fictional and made up by the writer, and any resemblance with anything in the real world is a coincidence, since the real world is not supposed to be dystopian anyway!
