WHOOOSH!
The Airship landed slowly in a clearing in front of the hunting area. Fionn and Jaxson exited the Airship after it landed.
Looking around, Fionn noticed that the area was not overly crowded, with only a few people visible here and there. The people were dressed in various combat attires and appeared to be preparing to enter the hunting grounds. A couple of Airships were parked in an orderly fashion on one side, but none of them were as eye-catching as Fionn's Airship.
"This is Legacy's lowest level hunting ground, populated primarily by rank 1 magical creatures and a few rank 2 magical creatures. Because the majority of the first year's have already advanced to rank 1 and are capable of fighting rank 2 magical creatures, this hunting ground is insufficient for them. This is why there are so few people here." Jaxson elaborated.
"Yes, I see. If I'm not mistaken, this place will be crowded once more when the new batch of first-year students arrives "Fionn calmly replied.
"Yes, you are correct," Jaxson said with a nod.
While chatting, they soon arrived in front of the hunting ground's main entrance. The main entrance was nothing more than a massive wooden gate with no counters or guards; you could simply walk in and out at your leisure.
At the entrance, with a wave of his hands, Jaxson pulled a map from his spatial ring and handed it to Fionn, saying "This map depicts a rough outline of all magical creatures' habitats in the hunting ground. Take it, it'll be very useful for you, and keep in mind that this is just a rough outline; the situation inside the hunting grounds is constantly changing."
"Thank you, it will be very useful," Fionn said to Jaxson with a smile.

Hearing Fionn's thanks, Jaxson nodded and said, "You should go now, use your time wisely, and don't forget to return in time, you have an audience with the director."
"Okay!" Fionn replied as he dashed into the hunting grounds.
From inside, the hunting ground looked like any other green forest, full with tall trees, fresh and cold winds, and the smell of soil and greenery. But there was one difference: the trees and other flora in the hunting ground emits a subtle radiance as a result of being nurtured in dense mana all year round. Their radiance differs depending on their elemental alignment.
A few kilometres into the hunting ground, Fionn could already feel the mana concentration increasing in his surroundings. Feeling good with the favourable change, he begin glancing through the map to determine his target.
Fionn's motivation for entering the hunting grounds is straightforward: he wishes to heal his soul using the innate spell of his AWM avatar. He is well aware of how vexing a soul injury can be and how difficult it can be to heal. But there is still hope for him thanks to his sniper avatar's incredible ability. He isn't too concerned about his physical injuries because he knows they will heal eventually with the passive innate spell of his skysurf board avatar.
Looking over the map, Fionn noticed many crudely drawn images of magical creatures scattered throughout the map, each with a brief description of them. The rank 1 magical creatures were mostly located in the hunting grounds' outskirts, while the stronger rank 1 and rank 2 magical creatures were located towards the centre.
"Let's go with this one. It may be disgusting, but it is currently the best option for me in my current state "Fionn decided, pointing to a swampy area on the map.

The magical creature that he chose is called Decayer. It is a type of magical creature that falls into the category of monsters. Monsters are creatures that do not belong to any race and do not have a bloodline. They are creatures that are born directly from nature as a result of a specific sequence of events and are incapable of reproducing. Decayer is a monster with dark/poison elements and could be considered neither too strong nor too weak for a rank 1, which is one of the reasons he chose it. Fionn chose this monster because in his current state, he is wary of approaching any magical creature that is too powerful, and if the magical creature he chooses is too weak, the amount of spirit energy he receives from it will be negligible.

Re: (Union//Incarnation)
Two years ago, a meteor fell and decimated the southeastern lands of Gaia, turning them into wastelands constantly shrouded in white fog. None of those who saw the blazing calamity with their own eyes lived to tell the tale, and those who attempted to venture in never came back. Since then, towers, caverns, and ruins have appeared and disappeared without a pattern. Those who were brave enough to venture in were rewarded with a partner capable of defying the natural laws as humanity knows it. People started to call them ‘Incarnation’, and before long, more and more Incarnation were gathered and sold as commodity, especially after a billionaire has sponsored a fighting tournament offering cash prizes to those possessing the strongest Incarnation, spurring the greedy and desperate to hunt for the fabled creatures at the cost of their lives. Claire Saphira wanted none of that. She simply wished for a life where she could live without worry of her own survival. As she ran from the debt collectors for the umpteenth time, she was swallowed by an errant tower, where she saw a frail, pale-skinned girl with ashen hair hung by chains. It was a chance, a chance to participate in the tournament and live without worrying about survival. Yet, something nagged in the back of her mind. Why did she look so familiar? Planned release schedule: One chapter every day for Mon-Fri, and a break on Sat-Sun. The release will slow down at some point, but most likely won't go under 3 chapters a week.

Alek, however, moved quickly, catching her mid-fall and keeping her upright, and alive. Claire lifted her eyes to meet his which were wide with alarm. The expression was fleeting, lasting for only a moment before it was replaced by a frown. "You could have fallen," he said pointedly."I know," Claire breathed, finding her thoughts drifting to the strong arm wrapped around her waist. A flush rose to her cheeks and she was grateful for the biting wind that masked her reaction. "Thank you.""You need to be more careful," he continued, his eyes locked on hers, bright and haunting in the silver glow of the moon overhead."I will," Claire assured him, her heart skipping in her chest.
