Fionn's emotions were erratic, and he felt his head spinning. With an insufferable rage growing inside him with each passing second, he felt compelled to smash the items in the room, but he resisted the urge.

Unable to express his rage, he slumped down on his bed, tears streaming down his cheeks and a sense of loneliness and desolation creeping up in his heart. A number of faces from his past life, including his parents, relatives, and friends, flashed through his mind, making him long for the company of a loved one. Don't know why, but after the anger subsided, a sense of vulnerability emerged in his heart.

"Why is a grown man like me having this feeling, and why won't these tears stop falling?" Fionn mused to himself as he sobbed.

Depression begins to consume Fionn's heart as he felt hurt both mentally and physically. During that time of depression, he suddenly heard a familiar voice in his head. The voice sounded both anxious and exhilarated.

"GROWL! GROWL! GROWL!" Ether's loud and constant growling echoed in Fionn's head, making him snap out of his gloomy state.

"Buddy! Calm down, calm down. Everything is fine with me, "Fionn said, overjoyed upon hearing Ether's voice.

"GROWL! GROWL!" Ether's voice rang out again in Fionn's head, this time more concerned.

"Don't worry. I'm perfectly fine. I had some injuries that caused me to become unconscious, but I am now fine "Fionn replied, trying to sound as nonchalant as possible.

"GROWL! GROWL! GROWL!" resounded Ether's voice again in Fionn's mind, this time enraged.

"Sure! Once you arrive here, we'll exact our vengeance together, and until then, I'll track down the person who did this to me "Fionn said, his every word dripping with murderous intent.

"GROWL! GROWL!" Ether said, his tone excited.

"No need to rush, safety should be your priority, anyway, revenge is a dish best served cold," Fionn replied.

"GROWL! GROWL!" stated Ether, sounding reluctant.

"It's only a week, and with Lucius' company, it'll go by quickly. Travel safely. And yeah, how is Lucius? "Fionn inquired.

"GROWL! GROWL!" exclaimed Ether, irritably.

"Such behaviour was expected of him. Allow him to be as long as he is not causing problems with humans "said Fionn, chuckling.

After that, they just talked casually for a while. Fionn felt a lot better after the conversation was over. He then stood up, dressed, and looked in the mirror once more.

Despite the scars on his face, his appearance was still brilliant, but unlike his previous self, who gave others welcoming and sunny vibes, his current self gave others gloomy and dangerous vibes.

He suddenly noticed the golden sun mark on his head, which was still faintly glowing; he had previously overlooked this detail due to his shock.

"So this caused my body to thin," Fionn murmured with realization.

The sun mark on his head uses mana to heal any injuries, and if the mana is insufficient, it will begin eating the host's body to generate energy to heal the injuries. Since he regained consciousness today, he has been having difficulty absorbing mana from nature, which he believes is due to his injured soul. So, linking the dots together, Fionn figured it out why his body has thinned out so much.

Shaking his head in self-pity, he stepped away from the mirror and decided to take a look around. He stepped out of the room, opening the door.

He noticed a small corridor and a stairway as he walked out of the room. Ignoring the lavishness of the mansion, Fionn began walking down the stairway, but just as he took a couple of steps down, he heard a childish voice from behind him say, "you should not have left your room, your injuries have yet to fully recover."

Turning around, Fionn gave the boy behind him a cold look and said, "My injuries are in good condition. Please convey my gratitude to Floyd for looking after me. I'm leaving."

Having said his piece Fionn continued to walk downstairs, his intention to leave clear as day.

Moving swiftly as a ghost, the boy blocked Fionn's path, and with a calm and confident expression on his face, he said "I'm afraid I won't be able to let you go. It would be best for both of us if you go to your room by yourself."
