"Don't worry, you're already a part of Legacy; you can tell us in private later, and if you don't want to tell us, that's fine as well. You are extremely talented, and we are delighted to have you on board. To be honest, I am very interested in having you as a disciple." The elderly professor stated.
"You can't make that choice on your own. Did you forget about unified consensus? I'm also interested in taking her on as a disciple, so don't think of deceiving a child with your sweet words." Floyd retorted, unhappy.
Hearing Floyd's retort, the other professors concurred. annoyed that a talented student was being poached right in front of their eyes.
"Don't talk nonsense. I don't think anyone here can argue with her joining Legacy; she has enormous potential. And as for her choosing me as her master, I believe no one here is better qualified to teach an enlightenment avatar individual than me." Stated the elderly professor, pissed by the comments made by other.
When the other members of the panel heard what the elderly professor said, they fell silent, unable to refute him.
After winning the battle of words, the elderly professor turned to the girl and gently asked, "Would you like to accept me as your master?"
The girl, who was overjoyed by his offer, gladly accepted it.
After gaining a competent disciple, the elderly professor triumphantly smiled and said to the girl, "Come stand behind me, You'll be under my tutelage from today on."
The matches resumed after the girl was chosen, though the exam became monotonous again as the instant elimination continued. Non-combatant examinees appeared on occasion, briefly alleviating boredom with their skill demonstrations, but they were not as impressive as the girl.
The evening gave way to the night. No one else was chosen besides the girl. Despite the fact that it was late at night, the matches continued as the arena's lights were turned on. Bored, some of the examinees whose turns were late began to doze off in the stands, exhausted from the lack of sleep during the sector competition.

"Look at you, weren't you excited the whole time about fighting, where did all that energy go now?" Fionn mocked Theodore, who was dozing off beside him.
"I'm conserving my energy right now, bro. You'll witness my energy when the time comes, so don't bother me now and let me sleep." Theodore replied as he fell asleep.
Fionn chuckled as he looked at him sleeping like a baby, then returned his attention to the stage. Suddenly, he noticed a familiar figure enter the stage.
"It's that damn fatty," he exclaimed, surprised.
Fatty walked slowly onto the stage, his walk as tyrannical as ever.
Just as the invigilator's gaze fell on the fatty, her face darkened, and she asked in a complicated tone, "Are you a Collins family descendant?"
"Of course. Isn't it obvious just by looking at my physique? Aiden Collins is my name "With a proud expression on his face, fatty replied brazenly.
Controlling her rage, the invigilator asked the fatty, not wanting to make her mood worse by talking to him, "what item would you like to exchange for your points?"
"I don't need anything; let's just start the fight," Aiden replied as he began scanning the first-year students.
"Then choose your opponent," the invigilator said impatiently.
Knowing that their next opponent would be from the Collins family, the first-year students became more serious, in contrast to their previous nonchalant demeanour.
" I choose you. Your physique appears to be somewhat better compared to others "Said Aiden, pointing to a handsome muscular guy among the first-year students.
The muscular man seemed unsurprised, as if he knew he'd be Aiden's pick. He walked over to the stage and stood opposite Aiden, waiting for the invigilator's signal.
On the stand of sector 6.
Fionn exclaimed with an enlightened expression as he heard the conversation between the invigilator and the fatty "So he's from Collins' family, no wonder he's such a weirdo. Everything makes sense now."

Branded
From the second Eluc awoke in this world, he was filled with questions. Why can he not remember his past, what is this White Room, and where the hell should he go? Leaving these unanswered, he could only traverse this world based on his instincts alone. However, Eluc still had one lead: the Brand upon his wrists. Author's Thoughts: I want to return to this story one day, perhaps in a re-write. Ended up writing an entire other novel and now might have the confidence to undertake this to write another story. To anyone even reading this, sorry for the hiatus but thank you for reading this attempt at a story. Beautiful cover image edited from a picture by JR Korpa
