《Guns in another world》Expedition XIII

After they agreed on the contract's terms and conditions, they both cut a small wound on their finger and squeezed a drop of blood out, then began the ritual with the blood on their fingertips.

They clasped each other's hands as if doing a handshake and began chanting the spell along with the contract's terms and conditions.

ZZZIIIIIIZZZ!

Soon, a red-colored light barrier encircled their grasped hands, and lightning appeared to be flickering on the light barrier, creating an ominous atmosphere.

Without panicking, they continued the ritual, and with their constant chanting, the light barrier grew brighter and brighter, until it appeared substantial near the end of the ritual.

The light barrier split in two and entered their body when they stopped chanting.

As the light barrier entered Fionn's body, he felt restricted in some way, as if someone far more powerful than him was keeping an eye on him, warning him not to violate the terms of the contract.

"This certainly does not feel good, no wonder not many people use this method," Fionn reflected, repulsed by the strange sensation.

With all miscellaneous tasks completed, Fionn stretched his body and said to Ether, "Buddy, let's go raid the Cyclopes settlement and meet an acquaintance."

"GROWL! GROWL! " Hearing Fionn's proposal Ether responded with a gleeful growl.

"Would you like to come with us?" Fionn asked, looking at the Anomaly.

"Will I be able to get souls to eat there?" inquired the Anomaly.

"I think you'll get a few," Fionn replied, smiling.

"I'll come then; I need souls to speed up my recovery." The Anomaly exclaimed, his eyes reflecting his excitement.

"All right," Fionn said, smiling, before adding, "I believe you should have awoken your demon name by now; what is it?"

Every direct descendant of any race with a high ranking bloodline, such as dragons, demons, Phoenixes, and so on, awakens their respective names during bloodline awakening; the name serves no purpose other than to prove that the individual is a pure blood and a nobility among its race.

"My name is Lucius Ignis," the Anomaly replied.

"Great, from now on, I'll call you Lucius," Fionn said, smiling.

After everything had been decided, Fionn summoned his sky surfboard and shot into the sky, saying "let's go."

Ether ran after Fionn from the ground, his speed absolutely amazing.

Lucius spread his four wings and flew into the sky, close behind Fionn, his gaze fixed on Fionn's skysurf board, who knows what was going through his mind.

After about 30 minutes, they arrived at the location; the settlement appeared deserted in comparison to its previous crowded state, but there were still some Cyclopes wandering around like zombies. The Cyclopes who are present are all weaker one's, and the muscular ones appear to have perished during the battle.

WOOOSH!

THUD!

Fionn boldly landed in the middle of the field, creating a small dust cloud, and looked around; soon after, Lucius landed behind him and asked, hopeful, "shall I kill them, I desperately need souls?"

"I know even if I say no, you'll do it anyway, so why ask me?" chuckled Fionn.

Lucius smiled evilly, said nothing, and walked away to cause the massacre.

"Why are you looking at me like that, do what you want," Fionn exclaimed, looking at Ether, who was looking at him pitifully from the side.

Hearing Fionn's words, ether excitedly growled and ran a few circles around him, showing his affection, before fleeing in the direction of Lucius.

Looking at the disappearing figure of Ether, Fionn sighed, thinking, "such is the nature of this universe, there's no stopping it."

Then, shifting his focus, he began walking towards the magical array and the cave.

The magical array was still working as usual, creating Anomalies from time to time, but the cave that had previously been the Salamander's home was now empty, and the Anomalies who had no one to look after them kept crawling on the ground here and there, making a mess.

Fionn went straight into the cave, ignoring the crawling Anomalies.

The cave was obviously quite large because a Salamander had lived inside it, touching the wall, it was warm to the touch, and it was sturdy enough to withstand a rank 0 spell. Fionn looked around near the entrance, but found nothing noteworthy, so he continued walking inside.

About fifty metres into the cave, a stairway appeared in front of Fionn, leading downstairs; the stairway, like the inhabitants of this plane, was quite large.

"Here I come, my friend," Fionn said, looking at the pitch-black entrance to the stairway.
