ZING! ZING! ZING! ZING!
After the magic Array had finished cooling down, a couple of Anomalies appeared on it. Anomalies appeared to be a mass of black gas from which dozens of tentacles protruded.
THUD! THUD!
A muscular Cyclope was patrolling the area surrounding the magical array, occasionally lashing out at weaker Cyclopes who would start daydreaming while working.
Suddenly, from the corner of his eyes, he felt as if he saw a green light speed by, so he hurriedly turned around, only to see his fellow comrade standing watch in the distance, like a statue, he shook his head and he prepared to return to his post, however, it happened again shortly after, and this time it was right in front of his eyes. He spotted a green light flashing and striking his other ally, who was on the other side of him.
GRR!....
Just as he was about to yell and warn everyone, he felt a stinging pain in his back. He looked down and saw a finger wide hole in his body, from back to front, with no blood coming out. He tried to move his body, but it felt as heavy as a mountain. He looked to his ally on the other side, hoping to get his attention, but there was no one there, only a pool of gluey fluid.
After a few seconds, he felt a burning sensation all over his body and his head spinning as if he were about to pass out. With horrified eyes, he struggled to stay conscious as he watched his skin and muscles melting; eventually, unable to withstand the torment, he fainted and died, while his body continued to melt.
Meanwhile, the other lesser Cyclopes gazed on, rubbing their bald heads in perplexity.
Soon after, a couple more rounds came down from the sky, completely clearing the area of Cyclopes.

Fionn nodded, pleased with the effect of the silence spell, and thought, "the effect is good, but it's still not good enough for an assassination, I need a spell that can conceal both shot and sound."
He landed swiftly on the ground and approached the Anomalies, who seemed to sense the threat as they attempted to flee. Fionn grinned and grabbed one of them while shooting the others, adding, "the fewer you are, the better for me."
Then with a wave of his hand he retrieved a cage from his spatial ring, which he had previously used to hold the mutant mouse, and placed the Anomaly within it.
KHRRR!
He was about to leave having completed his mission when he heard a faint sound from inside the cave that sounded like snoring. Fionn, pushed by his curiosity, took a stealthy step towards the cave's entrance.
From a safe distance away from the cave's entrance, he peered inside. It was pitch black inside the cave, but Fionn could make out a faint shape of a large lizard dozing off, steam flowing out from its nostrils.
He swallowed audibly, his face flooded with astonishment, and only one thought raced through his mind in a loop: "don't tell me this is a Salamander."
Snapping out of his trance, he summoned his sky surfboard and shot towards the sky, quickly disappearing in the dark haze, as if escaping a plague.
Somewhere in the forest beside a lake, in a remote area.
Fionn panted, gasping for air, exhausted by the constant flight, while thinking, "It's impossible for a Salamander to appear in such a minor plane; it must be a mixed blood or something. But, if it's a real Salamander, I might have to abandon my expedition; even as a baby, a Salamander is too much for me right now."

Calming down, Fionn called Ether via his psychic link and said, "Ditch them immediately and come to my location, the mission is accomplished."
GROWL! Ether responded by acknowledging his statements.
Fionn psyched himself, thinking "let's hope for the best and let the plan in motion"
He then withdrew his relic from his spatial ring, placed it on the ground, and began the process of creating a mutant beast, from erecting the barrier to filling the relic with blood, however, this time the blood was different, it has a greenish tint to it.
Finishing up the setup, Fionn withdrew the Anomaly from his spatial ring and placed it within the relic, saying, "Let's see what you'll become."

The Nightcore Trilogy
Going to space was supposed to be the adventure of a lifetime, but for Reece Danielson and his crew, it was only the beginning. As the fresh astronauts aboard the Zhengzhou International Space Station start their on-the-job training, Reece is shown a discovery that changes his entire worldview. It isn’t long before a tragic accident aboard the station sets off a series of events that not only puts the crew in danger but at odds with each other. The events quickly escalate into a man-made apocalyptic incident on the surface of the planet. A virulent plague is prematurely released which transforms everyone into flesh-eating undead, and that is only the beginning of the troubles. There are far worse things down there than zombies and possibly a few of them lurk on the station itself. The Nightcore Trilogy thematically begins with a heavy sci-fi feel coupled to a gritty space-based horror mystery. The story's layers are slowly peeled back, evolving into something much more supernatural, mythological, and high-fantasy-based. It's a mix of elements from survival horror, zombie apocalypses, ancient mythologies, supernatural stories, and harem anime. It contains semi-descriptive sex scenes (traditional and non-traditional), descriptions of gore, profanity, and adult situations, so I recommend it for mature and open-minded audiences only.

Mutation Era
That one fateful day, he showed up. The man in black. He who acted like this life was just another game. He appeared everywhere. Floating up in the sky. So naturally, but yet strangely eerie. He raised his hand and snapped then… Mutation. ... This is my first story that i've written, and with no education in story-writing, please don't expect anything of quality. I encourage you to give me feedback on my work. On that note, have fun reading! You can expect maybe 1 or 2 chapters per month because I'm really slow at writing. Chapter art courtesy of gej302
