《Guns in another world》Enlistment

As they entered the building, they were greeted by a large reception area, but because it was lunchtime, not many people could be seen, and the weird thing was that no employees could be seen.
"You won't find any employees in this building or any of the district's facilities since no commoners are allowed within the noble's district; those who work here do so voluntarily and are all people of remarkable standing." Neal elaborated.
Fionn responded with a nod.
When they arrived at the reception desk, Neal addressed the elderly man behind the counter with respect, saying, "How have you been, Master Raymond?"
The elderly man who had been smoking his cigar looked at them with one eye still closed and responded, with a uninterested tone, "I am good, what do you guys want, if you are here for the auction, come back at 4 p.m."
"We've come to enlist an item for the Auction today," Neal said on Fionn's behalf.
Hearing Neals' statement, Master Raymond straightened up in his chair and said "If it's a low level item, come back another day, today's auction has a high standard.
Neal glanced towards Fionn to continue the conversation because he didn't know what to say.
"It's a high-quality item; you can determine the precise rank for yourself; where should I place it?" Fionn inquired.
"If it's not too huge, simply place it here," Master Raymond said, this time with interest, gesturing towards the reception table.
Fion nodded and, with a wave of his hand, withdrew a cage from his spatial ring and placed it on the counter.
As soon as Fionn took the cage out, two pairs of eyes locked on it. Neal stared at the creature within the cage with curiosity as soon as Fionn took it out, not being well versed in the subject of magical beasts, but Master Raymond peered at the creature with an intense gaze that almost gave the little beast a heart attack.

Master Raymond set his cigar aside and stared incredulously at the beast inside the cage, saying, "that's a perfectly mutated beast, magnificent, may I take it out for a better look?"
Fionn nodded and warned, "Be careful, it's poisonous."
Master Raymond, ignoring Fionn's caution, brought the beast out of the cage and began to study it, his surprise growing with each passing instant.
"How can a mutation occur between these two species?" mused Master Raymond.
Neal, unable to contain his curiosity, inquired, "Master, what kind of beast is this?"
"It's a mutant, a very unusual one at that, it's integrated the best traits of both his ancestral species, but the thing that amazes me is how could a mutation between a one eyed Demonic Rhino and a Sting rat exist," Master Raymond remarked, jolting out of his thoughts.
"Why can't that be possible?" Neal wondered, showing the extremities of his ignorance.
"Have you ever seen a Rhino and a rat mating?" Master Raymond asked, gazing at Neal as if he were a moron.
Neal blushed as he heard the response.
"Kid, where did you find this beast?" Master Raymond said, his feverish gaze fixed on Fion.
"I found it in the Northern Wildlands." Fionn lied with a poker face.
Hearing Fionn's remarks, the old man fell into a trance and continued to babble incoherently, lost in his own universe.
Noticing the old man's absence, Fionn approached Neal and inquired, "Did this gentleman have some screw loose?"
"Don't say that; he may not have a high rank, but he is one of the most informed people in the city, and he is also nobility." Replied Neal with a lot of respect.
Suddenly, Master Raymond snapped out of his trance and exclaimed, "This must be an escaped experiment of a senior, there is no way a mutation like this can happen naturally."

"Your explanation is quite plausible," Fionn said respectfully.
Recognizing Fionn's remark, Master Raymond stated, "kid, if you want to sell it, I can pay you a high price and we can finish the deal right now."
"Sir, your offer will cause the auction house to lose business, which will harm your reputation; if you really want to acquire it, you can bid in the auction." Fionn politely declined his offer.
"What you mentioned is right, I will enlist your item then," Master Reymond remarked. "Unfortunately, your item is good enough to become a main attraction in normal days, but today's main attraction is a level above your item."

The whole affair seems to cry out for a gallant hero of old, or failing that a cunning diplomat, but he’s neither. Perhaps a lying scoundrel, which our lad definitely is, would have to suffice.
