The entire night is spent listening to loud noises emerging from within the relic, which became increasingly louder and more Bestial as the hours passed.

The following day...

Fionn, who had gotten little sleep due to disruptions during the night, jumped out of bed and joyfully opened the relic.

As he opened the relic, a dark shadow rushed on him; the speed could not be described as swift.

Fionn nonchalantly caught the mouse in his grasp; the mouse was covered in blood from the container Fionn had poured into the relic the day before.

The blood inside the container was from a rank 1 beast called Single eyed Demonic Rhino

Fionn cleaned the mouse and began a thorough examination.

The mouse, who had been as white as snow the night before, had darkened significantly, and his skin and muscle had toughened.

"The modifications aren't enough to label it a mutant, but they're enough for me to move on to the next phase." Fionn grinned as he pondered.

With a wave of his hands, Fionn drew another magic scroll from his spatial ring and activated it using the same method as last night, directing the spell, Fionn caste it towards the mouse in his grasp.

The mouse, which had been struggling only moments before, now lay motionless in his palm, as if paralysed. "Sigh, it's a waste to use a rank 0 paralysis spell in this small thing, but it's still worth it for what's going to happen," Fionn thought as he summoned his MP5.

After placing the mouse on the floor, Fionn aimed his gun at it and pulled the trigger.

DTATATATATA!

With the sound of continual shooting, a laser-like beam of red-coloured blood energy ejected from the gun. When the shots hit the mouse's body, instead of the wails and the horrible scene of blood and flesh flying, the mouse had a strange expression of delight on its face, as if it was about to have an orgasm.

With Fionn's constant firing, the mouse's appearance gradually changed: its size grew larger, its hair began to shed, its skin became tougher, and a rhino-like tusk began to develop on its face.

The rate at which the mouse's body transformed slowed with time, and the mutation eventually stopped.

" The mutation took around two hours to finish." Fionn thought as he recalled the gun.

Feeling a little exhausted Fionn slowly approached the mouse who still under the effect of the paralysis spell.

The mouse was now about the size of a puppy, completely hairless, with skin that resembled that of a Rino, muscles that were now robust and prominent, a Rhino-like tusk on its mouse-like face, eyes that were completely red, and a needle-like spike at the end of his long tail that could be seen as poisonous.

Fionn nodded contentedly as he gazed at his masterpiece, thinking, "As I expected, this gun can genuinely evolve or mutate a creature."

Fionn had a rough idea about the features of his SMG since he awakened it, but he's never really had the chance to put it to the test. He knew that while this gun was not as effective in actual combat as his other guns, but it had a unique use that none of his other guns had, namely the ability to evolve or mutate creatures.

It can evolve a creature by reawakening its latent potential, but the amount of mana required varies by bloodline; pure blooded creatures require more mana than mixed blooded creatures due to the lower likelihood of mutation.

Fionn was overjoyed when he discovered the relic because it has the power to create mix blooded creatures, even if the foreign bloodline concentration in the created creature is negligible. He can then mutate these creatures with his SMG Avatar, which will cost slightly more mana but still far less than pure blooded creatures.

Fionn took another object from his spatial ring after physically examining the mouse, which could no longer be called a mouse. The object looked like a syringe with a gauge attached, it was a tool to measure the bloodline's rank.

Using the syringe, Fionn retrieved the mutated creature's blood sample, as soon as the blood entered the syringe, the needle inside the gauge began to move, slowly rising from nil to 0 and then flickering between 0 and 1.

Looking at the results, Fionn thought to himself, "The mouse wasn't even a rank 0 and after the mutation, it might almost be regarded a potential rank 1 Beast, this is insane."

KNOCK! KNOCK!

Fionn was suddenly jolted out of his reverie by a knock at the door.
