Shao and Reya stray off from the nest, wandering around the sandy regions of the beach, they are in. Looking around, scavenging for food, in the process hunting some wild critters or much smaller prey, in order to gather up experience points, and level up.

In the midst of the hunt, they would often snack on any wild plants, seaweed, or kelp they would see within the facility, to fill up their bellies. Maintaining a healthy growing body, that needs a large amount of nutrients and sustenance for proper growth as they are now.

The first aquatic animal they encounter on their hunt was the very same species of Sea Cricketeer. They've encountered the previous day when Reya was ambushed by one of their kind.

Shao being the strong and protective brother as he is would then act as the main tank and heavy damage dealer within the group. While Reya is left out till the very end to deal the final blow, killing it, and naturally gaining the experience points from the kill.

So Shao immediately charges forward, towards the twig stick figure of the Sea Cricketeer, as fast as his little nimble web feet could handle. Slamming his large tortoise body against the fragile stick figure of the Sea Cricketeer, causing it to tumble and fall over onto its back. While Shao is effortlessly keeping it down by laying on top of it with its large body.

To assure that the weigh down Sea Cricketeer, could not put up any sought of resistance, or cause any harm to Reya while she is dealing the final blow.

Shao then bits off its skinny legs and long piercing claw without hesitation, severing it completely from its main body, as it cries miserably because of the sharp pain. Fear at the sight of what is gonna happens next to it.

It's undoubtful death.

Shao said so in a cold unnerving tone, while still keeping his eyes focused on the Sea Cricketeer's disabled body. Keeping watch to see if it makes any strange and unexpected movements.

Having heard the signal given out by Shao. Reya then walks up, close by Shao from behind, and chomps on the neck of the Sea Cricketeer repeatedly. Because of her lower level and strength stats, it naturally took several biting attempts for Reya just to kill it.

Bit by bit, she makes a millimeter closer to achieving her desired results. While on the other hand, Shao or any other of her sibling can finish it, in one move. Severing the fragile neck and spinal cord of the Sea Cricketeer in half.

"It's easy, isn't it."

Shao commented on how easy it was for him to subdue and kill the lone Sea Cricketeer if it were himself. Whilst from the side, Reya is looking up rather tiredly, almost exhausted all of her strength, from the frequently repeated bite attacks. She is now panting quite heavily.

Looking down at her self. She could see the obvious inferiority between her and the others. Small, cowardly, and afraid. While all the others are strong, overbearing, courageous enough to take risks, in order to grow stronger and survive.

Shao and Reya continued their hunt, repeating the same sort of strategy for grinding experience points, by hunting much smaller critters and those that put up little defenses.

In the midst of the hunt, Shao and Reya found a wild Rock Clam that was washed accidentally, away by the strong ocean wave, set adrift onto the sandy beach.

Shao found this specimen to be quite peculiar and interesting, as it possesses a strong exterior shell, and would quite often open and close, popping its disgusting long tongue out. Shao then walks over towards it curiously, observing it quietly at first, then followed by a desperate attempt to crush it with his mouth, whilst using bite.

The Rock Clam's strong exterior shell managed to withstand Shao's repeated biting attempts, attempting to shatter its shell. However, the Rock Clam's exterior shell didn't give in, neither was there any cracks within it.

With newfound strength pulsing within his veins, he continued his one last bite. Strong enough to pierce through the Rock Clam's exterior shell, forming cracks on the surface of the exterior shell. Continuing his assault without backing down, the shell finally caved in and falls apart. Some managed to pierce the internal fleshy real body of the Rock Clam, fatally killing it. As it was crushed instantly by Shao, shortly afterward without remorse.
