《Netherwyrm god》40. Markus, the Law breaker

“Looks like those kids are about to start. I should join in the fun.” Markus said as him and the boulder he was sitting on appeared just outside of the Elemental church Everworld.
He watched as an enormous breach covered the Everworld.
“What a bunch of cheaters. This is what the last elementals became...hehe...I like it.” Markus said as the breach completely sealed off the Elemental church Everworld.
Markus suddenly turned around and said: “Oh...Aragil...you are too late this time...For a time traveler to be late to his funeral is too funny...haha...pardon me...when I see all your possible futures...I cannot help but feel bad for you...know when to compromise kid and choose your allies carefully.”
Aragil looked at the breach with greed and said with a hint of anger: “All those incarnations of yourself you sent after me all this time were to keep me from seeing clearly. As long as you remain in all your realities, my path to time is sealed.” said Aragil who had not seen the Alwyn’s Everworld change so much in all the futures he could see. Markus had been misleading him the whole time. He had been beaten at his own game.
Markus said: “I’ve been the sovereign of time and space for a long time now...if you still think you can surpass me with that soul of yours, then I must inform you that you are wrong. From the moment you became friends with the primordial gods, you became my enemy...I had to keep my eye on you at all times...I even altered your visions of time as well as letting you erase a few realities...The only reason you are still alive is because you have my bloodline even if you stole it from Alwyn...”
“The primordial gods are on their way, you have no chance of getting out this alive now. Do you? ...” Aragil said.
“They will be coming here to die if you ask me...And I will not have to even lift a finger...you can still choose to beg me and I can help you with that defective soul of yours.” Markus said.

“I get to become a primordial god in the future if I side with the prime reality...I get nothing with your help.” Aragil said.
“Suit yourself...I’m going to pay them a visit.” Markus said as the boulder headed for the breach.
***
All of the important figures were sitting in a palace listening to Devinn:
“Once the breach seals this Everworld, we will all start fusing with our counterparts.” Devinn said.
“Why am I the only one allowed to partake in this merge?” Udumu asked. He was angry that the living beings he had brought with him were not allowed to participate in the merge. Even his own warriors were refused entry.
“Even if you can vouch for them, It wouldn’t be enough. Just count yourself lucky that we allowed you to stay.” Devinn coldly said. A single potential sovereign of space like Udumu, he could control. The rest would just become a thorn in his side.
The breach completed the sealing and the merge started.
As they all fused with their counterparts.
The process lasted an instant but, they gained tremendously in power and insights.
Their souls and bodies doubled in strength with just a single fusion.
Many gained enough insights to reach the origin elemental realm while others reached the true origin realm.
The Netherwyrm sword reached the Sovereign level with its insights in both space and time.
Alwyn reached the sovereign level in all elements except space and time but since he and the sword were connected, they also shared insights.
Udumu had also reached the sovereign level in terms of insights on space.
Devinn’s and Erling’s arcane energy was becoming purer and purer as more of their counterparts were fused into them. Even their arcane pearls did not escape the process.
The elementals were also in good shape. The majority had reached the true origin realm with a minority still lingering on the origin elemental realm. With time, they were sure to catch up.
As the merge seemed to be over, a light chuckle was heard.
“Now I can finally say that the elementals do not need my protection anymore.” Markus said.

Everybody in the room turned around and saw an old man strolling about as if it was the most normal thing he was doing.
“Master.” Kron screamed out.
“Markus?” Devinn and Alwyn thought.
“hehe...I came to warn you all. Aragil is waiting just outside with his new friends.” Markus said. He added: “Congratulations on creating a true prime reality for yourselves, but Aragil and many others will want to take it away from you. It is far too valuable.”
“What do you mean?” Devinn asked.
“That breach you opened to seal you is the real treasure here. It makes you invisible to all timelines and reality. You only exist here. Furthermore, every time a living being thinks or makes a choice, infinite sets of realities are created and then forced to fuse with this one. It continuously strengthens you forever...A prime reality cannot be duplicated. All the realities created are instantly destroyed to accomplish or fuel a purpose. In this little prime reality you just created for yourselves, the fundamental law is to fuse all realities and living beings inside of them into one forever. Over time, you will become so strong that the only place that will ever be able to contain you is this prime reality of yours.” Markus said as he himself was enjoying the benefits of being inside the breach. He was becoming stronger than ever.
‘The fundamental law is to fuse all realities and living beings inside of them into one forever...’ Devinn reminded himself. He had used Alwyn’s cloak as a blueprint to create a breach capable of encompassing the Elemental church Everworld. He and Erling burned almost all their external sources of arcane energy contained in their arcane pearls to summon the breach.
“Laws?” Alwyn said.
“Yes. Some prime realities create laws on their own or their laws are created by someone just like you did. For example, the prime reality I was born in, was created with the Law of space as the core. All living beings inside of it could comprehend space and be born starting at the origin elemental realm, some even at the true origin realm.” Markus said.
A new change was happening inside of Markus as well. He said: “Oh...before you panic, I am about to reach the realm of the Law Breakers thanks to your little prime reality.”
He was talking as if nothing was happening at all. In fact, nothing could be seen from the outside.
Markus then explained: “ When you are born into a prime reality, you are required to breakthrough the core law of the prime reality to be considered a transcendent being...I am about to breakthrough the law of space and take it into my own hands by using the core law of absolute unity of your prime reality. Right now, I am gaining insights at the speed of light.”
For once, he closed his eyes and stayed still.
A minute later, his immediate surroundings started turning hazy and blurry.
The whole Everworld trembled under his silent might.
He opened his eyes.
“Hehe...done...Now I am the strongest being I know. It feels so good when it happens for real...seeing it in the future cannot compare. Now space is as good as mine..haha” Said Markus.
“Oh...since you helped me...” He closed his eyes and the Everworld shuddered again. He continued: “You now have the core law of space revolving around the core law of Absolute Unity. Feel free to comprehend space anytime.”
He then added: “Go take care of that annoying Aragil. He is a promising seedling who was misled by those morons. If you can, save him from his stupidity.”
He left along with Kron laughing and conversing like old friends.
Outside of the new Absolute unity Prime reality.
Aragil and five other figures were having a heated conversation.
Those five were the primordial gods of the nearest Prime reality. They were all at the sovereign level and comprehended the space element.

Sorcery in Boston
The timid daughter of some of the greatest spellcasters ever to have lived has found herself in another world, courtesy of magic gone awry. In Boston, Massachusetts, in the year 1935, she finds some kind souls in a hard era. In the heart of the Great Depression, as war looms around the corner, she seeks to find her place, and must come to terms with both who she is and what she truly desires. Author's Notes: Release Note: I recently realized what the hold up is. My current mental state is not compatible with the planned ending. If I wrote the ending according to what currently feels right, it will be a wretched, cruel ending that feels monstrously unfair and invalidates the work of the various characters... because that's how my life feels at the moment. The planned ending is coming out hollow and awkward, no matter how I write it, and so I've been bashing my head. I will finish it, once I manage to either brute force something decent out, or once my head gets screwed on straight. Audience: This story is not for young children - it contains some profanity, sexual content, violence, gore, and significant adult themes. Most of these are handled delicately enough not to upset teens or adults (hopefully), hence the lack of relevant tags, but it is nonetheless unsuitable for youth. It's fairly slow paced, and focused on the development of very human, very flawed individuals. Length / Completion Estimates: The outline currently involves two books. Book 1 is expected to be done with Chapter 43. It'll probably be completely finished by sometime in March of this year. I expect to move on to the far-more-lighthearted Of Gods and Dungeons (currently in progress / on hiatus). Afterwards, I may decide to redo Book 1, or write Book 2, or actually start sharing the story most dear to me, that I've been working on for several years now. Draft 1: Please be aware that this is first draft material. I do intend to come back to do a second draft after the story is complete. If anyone notices any issues whatsoever with the story, please let me know (pm, etc) so that I can improve the second draft. Writer's Pledge: I've taken the Writer's Pledge, meaning I'm commiting to completing this story. I'm a proud member of WriTE, a group dedicated to finishing stories. It will be done! Behind the Scenes notes: This picture was commissioned from an inked artist by the name of DanP. Up until the time of the protagonist's arrival, history has proceeded as before. Some places and characters have been borrowed from wikipedia entries of interesting figures from the time. I will make note in the chapter comments when such things come up. Naturally, I've taken a great deal of liberty with them. In interest of respecting individuals, I've either attempted to portray them as accurately as possible, or modified them sufficiently enough that they're simply an inspiration, instead of a real portrayal. I've attempted to be as accurate to the era as possible, but I'm not a historian. If you're aware of inaccuracies, please, bring them to my attention so that I can correct them.
