《Netherwyrm god》33---Nether kingdom

Alwyn limited the visions to a small number of the realities of the present and the past the target was living in. If he showed the future he would create even more realities and his target would truly die from his soul being too weak to withstand such information.
Sometimes if his target remembered anything, he would sometimes learn from his endless mistakes from the many realities that he had lived in from his birth to the present. The experience would also make their souls stronger.
As for the pain, it was only there for the moment. The gains were more appealing after the deed was done.
He had given a more concentrated dosage to Alistair as his soul was stronger than the rest. Alistair was also the last one to wake up.
As for the rest, some were begging Alwyn to put them under his unearthly spell that granted powerful souls. Some had ideas of stealing the white sword.
Alistair was holding his head as he stood up. A scarlet fire appeared under his feet and helped him levitate.
The white light that Alwyn was using to keep them all in the air vanished into the sword.
“You sure are stingy. Why did we wake up sooner than him?” A disgruntled youth said.
“You’d be dead if I upped the dosage of visions.” Alwyn said. He wanted them all to think of it as visions instead of realities of the past to the present. Not that they were strong enough to remember anything. He did not know if time traveling abilities were banned or not.
Alistair was sitting cross-legged on the scarlet fire he had summoned. He had his eyes closed.
He was reflecting on the visions he had seen and his soul was gradually strengthening itself as the fire grew even more turbulent under him.
Alwyn thought: “He must be learning from the other paths he took in the other realities. This is bad. If he remembers entirely, he might find out that he was seeing live versions of him in other realities.”
Alwyn held the white sword and concentrated as well. The realities that were in sync were now in chaos as all the versions of Alistair he had swung his sword through were doing the same thing. Even himself, he was concentrating and pondering on the situation in all those realities.
He concentrated even more and saw that his intervention had created another set of infinite realities in which he had done nothing.
“Sigh...I hope this is all that...” Before he could say more, a breach appeared before him that connected the two different sets of realities.
“F**k...” He thought before the breach fused with the cloak he was wearing. It was the same cloak Erling had received as a sacrifice from Alwyn. After Erling died, it had ended in his hands.
The same scenario was recreated in all the version of Alwyn whether he had done anything or not.
He was connected to another set of realities in which he had made a different choice.
“Aragil’s all seeing power evolved into something else. If my soul was not strong enough, I’d now be a complete vegetable.”
“This means that I am going to have to undergo the same change every time I help someone level up their soul. Then… I am worse than time travelers.”

“Who cares...I will have more versions of me to work with as I can communicate with them now.”
“This reality will be the prime reality. Of course… all my other counterparts are thinking the same thing.”
He left the world of present realities and opened his eyes.
Alistair was still in meditation and his soul was growing stronger at a steady pace.
He had taken the path of fire in all the other realities. Sometimes a gentle and cleansing fire. Sometimes a violent and arrogant fire.
He was currently browsing through his memories and could only remember three other selves clearly.
“If he remembers just one reality, it will become a huge boon for him as he may have gained different insights.” Alwyn thought. He could not imagine someone comprehending three reality in the almost thousands of versions he had carefully chosen.
Slowly, Alistair opened his eyes.
He looked at Alwyn and did not know how to address him. He was thinking that he was in front of a god from the legends. He had gained tremendously in just one swing of a sword. Three lifetimes of insights. No known abilities could do such a thing even for a single lifetime of insights. It erased all his doubts and filled in the blanks in so many ways that even he could not believe it after it had happened.
“You...Who are you exactly?” He asked.
“Just a wanderer looking to settle somewhere.” Alwyn answered.
“Well, our Darkstar Company will be happy to add such an accomplished expert in our ranks.” Alistair said.
“Those visions...are they perhaps real?” Alistair asked. The surrounding crowd also tried to hear the answer.
“Even I do not know how all of this works but it sounds too far fetched to think that they are real.” Alwyn tried to come up with a lie.
“I see...well, three lifetimes of insights cannot come for free. I will pay eighty thousand origin crystals for this favor. I hope to be the best of your clients in the future.” Alistair said.
“THREE?” Both Alwyn and Edward screamed out at the same time.
“Yes, three. Something wrong?” Alistair asked.
“Of course not. Just that I expected you to at least see one.” Alwyn said, but inwardly he was still shocked.
“Oh...Just how many can you see, if I may ask?” Alistair asked.
Alwyn carefully gave a vague lie as an answer and also a goal that many would thrive to reach: “A few thousands.”
The shocked crowd felt their thoughts coming to a stop. How strong of a soul did he have exactly?
“I had more time to train than all of you. It's completely normal.” Alwyn tried to salvage the situation with the truth.
“How...how many did you let me see exactly.” Alistair asked.
“Just a thousand.” Alwyn answered.
Alistair mood was alternating from gloomy to anger as he thought of the missed opportunities because of his weak soul. At the same time, he was remembered of the excruciating pain that he was now thinking was well deserved.
“Follow me into the headquarters to register your residency as well as your new shop.” Alistair said as he wiped the cold sweat off of his forehead.

They all entered the atmosphere of the weird cubic planet.
Alwyn abandoned the space walking and chose to ride the sword that he could mentally control.
It was apparent that it had to be an eccentric personality that had devised the plans of such a planet.
As they put their feet on the surface of the cubic planet, gravity forced them to remain on the ground just like a normal human.
“This entire planet is the first treasure key ever made by the treasure spirit.” Alistair explained.
“I see. No wonder I feel completely powerless.” Alwyn said.
“There is a required physical strength before you enter the atmosphere. If you are weak you’ll just end up dead in seconds. Fortunately, you and my disciple barely qualify. ” Alistair said.
They entered a huge building.
Inside, the main hall was almost deserted.
“How may I help you?” A voice came from behind a counter.
The trio turned around at the same time.
Alistair said as he pointed at Alwyn: “We are here to help this young man acquire a residence.”
“What kind of residence do you think suits you ?” The clerk asked.
“Is it possible to have the same job as Edward and have a world for myself.” Alwyn asked. He wanted something that would help him conduct experiments with the Netherwyrm bloodline in order to separate himself from it.
He also needed a place big enough to receive his future clients. They were sure to be numerous.
There was also a possibility that he would receive a treasure key for the world he would be in charge of. He would then have a chance at studying it and create one of his own if he can.
“You should not see it as an honor. I was given the Stellar kingdom as a punishment.” Edward said.
The clerk said: “It is the worst job you could ask for. No one wants it.”
Alwyn was overjoyed to hear such a thing. It meant that he had no competition for the position of a king in a world far away from prying eyes.
Alwyn said: “ It will be suitable to me. If it is possible I want a world for myself.”
Edward and Alistair looked at each other and were at a loss for words.
Even if Alwyn wanted more privacy, it was a weird way of asking for it.
Alistair then thought of something: “I see so you need a place big enough to receive your future clients. I can see myself not wanting to come back here if I can train my soul forever. I envy those hot headed youths who have fewer responsibilities.”
Alwyn nodded.
The clerk did not understand at all what was being said, but seeing Alistair agreeing he said: “Alright. There are many unsupervised worlds in the red zone. You can choose one from them.” He revealed a crystal ball in which you could see the cubic planet getting smaller and smaller. It showed many worlds in different colors.
“The red ones are on the frontlines and may have a higher number of spies. The green ones are currently being supervised by a king. The blue ones are the closest to this zone and are being directly supervised by us.” Edward explained.
Alwyn looked in the crystal ball and kept zooming in the red zones. The device used soul sense to operate. After a while, he made a choice. He chose an ownerless world as close to the green zone as possible.
“You must give your kingdom a name. I also need you to sign here and here with your own name.” Said the clerk as he presented many forms.
Alwyn signed and gave his world the name ‘Nether kingdom’.
The Nether Kingdom then turned green in the crystal ball.
“Here are the available treasure keys.” Said the clerk as the crystal ball started displaying black objects.
Alwyn chose a simple looking ring.
It was immediately teleported in front of him. He then wore it and felt the space element he was used to.
Alistair then advanced and said: “With this, you even have a bank account here that you can access with your treasure key.” He told the clerk: “Transfer eighty thousand origin crystals from my account to him.”
Now, the clerk clearly wanted to know more about this unknown gray human that had friends in high places. He completed the transfer.
“Done.” Said the clerk and they left.
“If you do not know how to get there, the coordinates are in the treasure key. Just activate it and the teleportation will start on its own.” Edward informed.
“It’s okay. I know a thing or two about space.” Alwyn said as he made the ring turn on his finger with his thumb. He was thinking that it was too easy to work for this ‘Udumu’. The treasure spirit did not seem to care who he employed as long as they were strong enough to do the job.
“You can also access and buy information or goods through the ring using soul sense. Offering or requesting services can also be done through the ring. It is powered by the origin energy from Udumu himself. There are many uses for it just take a moment later to browse through them all.” Alistair said.
“I will take my leave then. Thanks for everything. ” Alwyn teleported away.
“He knows nothing when it comes to origin energy but comprehends the space element even better than I do.” Edward said.
“I just saw him teleporting on his own. He only used the origin energy as a power source. It’s weird indeed. He is shrouded in mystery. We kept him around because of that power of his. It’s so useful that I think that you’ve earned your freedom. Forget about the Stellar kingdom and leave it to your daughter, she seems to have developed a liking to it. I want you to keep your eyes on this Alwyn at all times. I am going to report this to my peers.” Alistair said.
“Why hide your identity as the seventh elder?” Edward asked
“Because he is hiding a lot from us. Everything seems too good to be true. That sword of his may be an incomplete treasure key from a treasure spirit or just an incomplete treasure about to gain sentience. I reckon that even Udumu will be interested.” Alistair said.
