《Netherwyrm god》31--- Limbo

Alwyn was living in a lightless void. He had looked everywhere but found no way to tell where or when he was. That and the fact that he could not see a thing.
Even his new sword that he felt hovering not far from him could not be seen in the darkness.
He had opened a rift on a whim to get there. He never had a clear destination and only followed Devinn's divination of him comming back just after his departure.
The good news was that the place he was stranded in did not crumble under his every movement. The space around him seemed sturdier than the space at home.
After spending an eternity trying to extricate himself from his new home, he decided to stop and think.
"I have no power source to rely on and this weird body keeps producing this space and time rending energy. This new body was created for the sole purpose of interacting with that energy."
"It would have been nice to gain a normal fire like any dragon."
"Apart from rending space and time, I also have nigh unlimited strength and nothing more. I lost my ability to bend elements to my will as well as the power of faith."
"No more power source."
"A useless soul."
"The good news is that the all seeing power was taken away with the space-time energy. It can allow me to see and choose my destination before i cut open a rift. I wonder if there is more to it."
He willed the sword to come to his hand and concentated on it.
He could see many things that he could not comprehend.
"A myriad of worlds and timelines. "
"If I am not careful, I can lose myself just by looking at them."
"At leat, my losses are justified with this power. I can trully see everything. Not just a simple future or past. I see all of it. "
"None of the worlds I see can contain me. I would just be a danger to everyone."
He was looking through the strands of the space-time energy. Through the devoured and evolved all seeing power inside the space-time energy, he was given access to a broad library of different worlds and timelines.
There was a pool of worlds just like the one he had just come from. Some contained countless Everworlds while others had just a few of them.
The existence of time made everything an unsolvable puzzle.
From different realities and different timelines, the simple worlds and simple lofeforms therein became even more complicated.
His quest for a world that could contain him and also find a cure for the bloodline that kept him away from his family, had just started.
Like a blind man looking for a needle in a haystack, he left everything to luck.
It never worked.
He could feel that amidst the pain his mind felt from scouring contless worlds and timelines, his soul was getting even stronger. As more time passed, he constantly grew strong enough to see a bit more. He even made a map of all the worlds he could see.
"All the worlds I see are not as strong as this place."
He was using his present prison of nothingness as an example. He wanted to find universes in which space was strong enough to allow him to live normally.

What seemed like an eternity later...
"The same ripple in both space and time."
He never gave up as he now scoured both the future and the past of everything he saw.
As for his soul reaching heights he could not fathom because of the relentless torture he subjected it to, he never cared.
"Something or someone like me is traveling in time. His actions are giving birth to countless realities."
He was wondering whether the time traveller did it on purpose or had no choice. The amount of realities he was creating at each jump was close to infinite amount per timeline.
As he went back to the future, he only saw a version he modified not the actual future he came from that still existed but without him. That and the countless other timelines he made anothe decision.
"I suspect that he thinks his time traveling ability gives him power over time, but doesn't know that it is a double edged sword. Just because of this moron that keeps tempering with time, I have to stop and restart all over again. If he jumps again, it will be the same story all over again." alwyn was angry.
The time traveller did not only affect his own world but everything time touched.
With Alwyn being in the middle of it all, and at the same time in a prison that allowed him to not be physically affected, his anger had reached unfathomable heights.
He was not sure anymore that what he had previously seen was real or not. A discarded reality created by the time traveller or not.
"I better stop this moron before more of my time is lost."
He concentrated on the energy signature of the time traveller and waited.
His sword was still tightly grasped in his two hands.
Years later, the same energy ripple appeared and Alwyn followed with a swing of his sword. A rift was opened.
The time traveller changed course for the prison Alwyn was currently residing in. Alwyn had rerouted him.
"Noooo..."an unwiling cry was heard.
Alwyn could not see the other but both had a faint idea of how far they were from each other.
"Why did you trap me in limbo with you? You're mad...completely mad...wait...if you trapped me here...that means you have a way of getting me out of here..." the voice sounded like it came from a young man.
"Shut up." Alwyn did not want to waste a moment.
"Or what?" the young voice dared him.
Alwyn did not want to kill him yet before he got his information. He said : "It's just like you said, I'm your only way out of here. "
The time traveller calmed down. He asked : "What do you want?"
"First, tell me why you run around disturbing the fabric of time. Second, I want to know the strongest being you know."
"I don't know how you caught me but I can only tell you that I am fleeing for my life. As for the strongest being alive that i know of, it's the Stellar King. " the young time traveller said.
"Where does the Stellar king live." Alwyn asked.
"In the Stellar kingdom....can you let me go now?" An impatient voice was heard.

"Teleport us there." was Alwyn's last question.
"I can't, I can only travel in time or fly..." the time traveller said.
Alwyn sighed and said : "Just tell me where it is and I will let you go."
The time traveller told him as a rift opened.
The young man left as soon as he could.
Following the coordinates given by the young man he found the Stellar kingdom.
"I see...it was constructed for beings of my caliber. I wonder how they became this strong and what power source can allow such expenditure."
He saw an artificial world in which the space fabric was as strong as the limbo he was currently living in.
"I can now leave this place without fear."
The moment Alwyn took one step out of limbo, he could feel countless eyes looking at him.
"And here I thought I was far from prying eyes..." Alwyn chuckled.
"Nothing happens in my kingdom without me knowing about it." A man that radiated ancientness and seemed to become one with the space around him said.
Alwyn immediately recognized the space element he was so used to.
The only peculiar thing was that the undulations the man releassed were weird and carried an arrogant and violent aura. Furthermore, the man looked like a genuine human being.
He wore a very spacious white robe. A very long beard. A bald head accompanied by a smiling face.
"I saw that you are strong enough. It is the reason why I left my subordinates behind. They would be useless if it came down to a fight." the man said.
"The Stellar King I assume. Alwyn." Alwyn said.
"Edward. " The king gave his name. He added: " What brings you to my humble kingdom?"
"Humble?" thought Alwyn. He had counted more than five thousand everworlds in the Stellar kingdom. He said : " I was just wondering how such a place was constructed and now I am wondering how a simple human like you can almost match me in power."
"Almost?...hehe...don't be so full of yourself so early." Edward said as the space around him howled. He still hid behind that enigmatic smile.
"I came here looking for information, not to fight." Alwyn tried to calm the short fuse of a king before him.
" If you win against me, I will tell you what you want to know." Edward said as he the space around him churned even more. He dissapeared from his position as he attacked with a black spear that had come out of nowhere. Space seemed to bow to the magnificence of the spear.
"Sigh...you asked for it." Alwyn departed at the same time. He took out his space-time rending sword and made a diagonal swing in front of the arriving Edward.
They both passed each other.
An exchange that lasted an instant.
Alwyn was cut in half but he almost instantly reconnected his body without losing a drop of blood.
Alwyn turned around saying: "I must admit. I did not believe I was about to be cut in half. I tried to evade but the result shocked me. Where did you learn how to fight like that? And where did you acquire such strength? For a human, it is impressive."
The Stellar king was on his knees holding his head releasing froth. His spear was still intact as well as his body.
Alwyn bent down and looked at the terrified king : "Feeling more like a human now...huh..."
"I shared a bit of my power with you with that sword swing of mine. If your soul is strong enough it is a huge boon. If it is not strong enough, you end up like this."
"You might be as strong as I am physically, but I could tell that your soul was lacking."
The multiple eyes that were watching them from a distance seemed to be making their way towards the fighters.
Many humans armed to the teeth started appearing around them.
The Stellar King was seeing multiple lifetimes of himself in different realities in different timelines all at the same time. He could not comprehend a thing and was overwhelmed by the information he was recieving.
A huge army led by an attractive woman soon appeared.
"Undo the spell you cast on him." she ordered.
"It will pass in a moment." Alwyn shrugged his shoulders. He miniaturized his sword and kept it under his tongue. He moved towards the black spear that was levitating not far from them.
Alwyn grasped the spear and used his soul sense to scour it.
The woman stilled as she saw him touch the black spear.
"A power system that's weird enough. This spear is almost sentient."
He could feel that he held the Stellar kingdom in his hand through the spear.
" I suspect that he can even move or even teleport his entire kingdom with this black spear of his. It even regulates the space of the kingdom making it so being like us cannot destroy anything carelessly. It's a key that allows complete control of the Kingdom as well as a weapon."
"All the power of space he wields except for his physical strength comes from this spear."
"I can now be considered the new Stellar king if I want to. I am no stranger to the power of space inside even if it's weird and violent." thought Alwyn as he played around with the black spear.
The Stellar king was showing signs of recovery. As he awoke from his nightmare.
His eyes now radiated a new and powerful aura.
His encounter with Alwyn's power had strengthenned his soul to another level even if he had to suffer untold amount of pain.
He said as offered a court bow : "My thanks to you Alwyn. My soul has now reached heights I could only dream of."
"I saw that you posessed a weak soul. I just offered a little assistance." Alwyn said as he let the spear return to its master. It turned into a trail of ripples that entered Edward's body.
"What would you like to know?" The Stellar king finally asked.
