《Netherwyrm god》08- Invasion?

Ever since my bloodline had awakened, all other Netherwyrm bloodline members on the Nether continent and beyond had awakened as well. The best example was Jonas and Lucius. They were originally at the seventh mutation before the awakening. Now they had reached the eighth in just a few hours. The rest of the normal bloodline members were undergoing mutation after mutation but they all started slowing down at the fourth.
It was as if there was a tacit understanding within the wielders of the bloodline to start absorbing mana once a kind of seal had been broken.
The original plan I had of helping further dilute the blood to allow anybody to have access to the bloodline became useless the moment I realized that the bloodline had changed its way of leveling up. The bloody lake that would not have been enough to nurture the entire existing bloodline, but a chosen few, was rendered useless as well. Everybody was doing well without it.
It was not long before the already scarce mana of the Nether continent started waning. For millions of years, the Nether continent had been the only continent that never saw the emergence of an Elemental magician. It was blamed on the fact that the mana was not pure enough to allow such a thing. It was like there was something that was siphoning the purest mana away only leaving shit behind. All the Grand magicians that showed promise in leveling up migrated towards the outside world.
Now, another unprecedented crisis was discovered on the continent. The mana had completely disappeared and a new race of super humans had appeared. More than half the population of the continent had become so strong that they were scared for themselves. The weakest were at the fourth mutation. Even newborn babies were not spared and wielded more strength than Grand magicians who worked so hard their whole lives to reach such a level.
Alwyn had only spent a few hours in the room trying to convince the higher ups of this useless organization to help mediate with their human counterparts to either submit to the future order of power and be gifted the bloodline or leave the continent. These morons could not understand the chaotic situation that was occurring on the whole continent and the isolated cases outside of it. They were trying to understand what they could not and Alwyn was growing impatient. He had already made Jonas and Lucius who were still the only strongest after him on the continent to try and mend the situation outside. They both seemed to have a plan on how to deal with this.
“We cannot just give the blood to the Nether bloodline for free as well, it is half the population of the continent we are talking about here. We will lose too much gold.” The shrewd leader of the Tree of Wisdom, Erika Wigan, kept hinting to the others seated here to keep the underground blood lake a commodity that could bring an uncountable amount of wealth.
“ You still think that the underground lake and the corpse it contains are yours. It never was. Besides, if you did not drag it out for so long I would have given you a chance. It is too late now.”Alwyn finally decided to leave and attend to his bloodline before wars broke out everywhere. Most of them were enemies to begin with and with this surge of power, they will not be able to resist creating problems. This Nether continent was not a peaceful place.
“Of course, it is ours, just because you sneaked in and used some strange magic to absorb a little of the blood does not make you its owner.” Kain Stavenger, a member of the prime council said.

“The bloodline owns itself.” I impulsively said. Once again, I found myself saying words that came out of nowhere. I did not mind it. Not minding such a crucial problem scared me as well.
“I tried to save you all from your greed, but you leave me no choice. Like I said, it is too late anyway. Have you not noticed? There is no more mana on the Nether continent.” After saying that, I was too bored to try and fit these wings in their tiny doors and punched the wall next to me and just free fell for a while before flying towards the entrance to the subterranean world.
All this time the gauntlet had been constantly vibrating. I wanted to get closer to the headless corpse and see what kind of problem there was with it as it was its previous owner.
When I arrived in front of the bloody lake, the mana inside the whole lake was instantly absorbed by the gauntlet leaving the blood powerless. It could now be infused into new hosts without any kind of risk. They would all become members of this bloodline.
“Even my actions are being taken over by the bloodline. Well, since I decided to stay for a while…” I was helpless against my new life that did not belong to me. I could feel it and did everything I was told, but I did not care a t all.
I was wondering if it was now my job to hunt for humans and infuse them with this blood one by one.
“What a pa….” I did not have the time to finish my thoughts when the gauntlet shone in a bright silver light.
The lake was slowly disappearing drop by drop. I could feel and see it.
“Where is it disappearing to? it is not inside the gauntlet, I am sure.”
“No. wait.”
I finally had an idea of what was happening. This time I was sure it was my own Idea. I was only hoping I was wrong.
A few minutes to safely exit the subterranean world and a few seconds to arrive to arrive outside the planet.
The sight I was forced to see brought shivers to my whole body. The gauntlet was still shining and I knew now that even if I ran away from this planet right now, the distance would mean nothing. I tried to take the shining gauntlet away from my right hand, but it was impossible.
Cutting my hand was the only solution since it would grow back. By the time I made my decision to cut my hand, the last glance I had of the planet froze my left arm from cutting away the other arm.
I was seeing red. In a short time, the half of the planet I could see was already red inside my eyes. I was sure that it was the same for the other side. All humans were being infused with a drop of the Netherwyrm blood inside the lake. No one was left out.
“Teleportation. This gauntlet is teleporting all the blood into humans, which means that it was slowly doing so before. There is no real common ancestor, it is the blood itself. The so called nether bloodline on the Nether continent was probably a test. Now, no human alive will escape it. It is taking over this whole world on its own. Why?”
I was trembling as I saw the mana all over the half of the planet slowly disappear. I flew around the planet and the same was happening on the other side.

Now the whole planet was inhabited by the Netherwyrm bloodline.
When the last bit of mana on the planet disappeared, the gauntlet shone even more brightly before my arm was jerked in front of me in the direction of the planet. The purest mana that I’ve never seen escaped it in an endless stream towards the planet.
The pure mana kept pouring out and the planet was engulfed in it. It was like the mana disappeared into a bottomless pit. The humans now crazily absorbed it.
Some had started transforming into giants.
Some laughed so hard looking at the sky while they felt their strength reach new heights.
Others were on their knees praying towards me.
Some considered me their god already.
It felt weird. As they grew stronger they could feel my presence and even see me. The elementals that ruled their respective territories saw me as a threat but had no choice as they were also partaking in the same blessing as everybody else. A god above them was their worst nightmare, but they were already pebbles on my feet before and they would still be after this. I hoped.
I could not stop the output of mana, but I wanted to have my own meal as well since everybody was powering up. Stealing a little will not anger this dreadful bloodline. Besides, I suspected that it was just giving back the mana it had stolen during those millions of years it was comfortably lying at the bottom of the lake. It would also be my trump card should some of the humans reach my level. Jonas and Lucius were the perfect candidates to reach my level since they had a good starting point.
My body had reached its limits when it came to the Netherwyrm bloodline. The violet smoke that fused with my body, however, was still lacking a good tonic to level up. I let a snake of violet smoke into the stream of mana. That line of violet smoke pumped mana directly into my heart where violet smoke would absorb it. On my own, I stole a hundredth of the mana destined for the planet.
Lucius was the first to reach my level, I could see him burning away a huge portion the area around him in white fire. Jonas followed, nothing catchy happened, only that his soul had become stronger than mine to an alarming degree.
Three more reached my level before the gauntlet decided to keep the rest of its mana. From my perspective, this gauntlet was like a bottomless pit. I wanted to see what else was stored inside but it was more pressing to upgrade myself once more.
I had no way to quantify how strong the violet smoke had become, but it should be enough to upgrade my body and surpass the bloodline in power. It was the only way for me to keep this bloodline’s cunningness at bay since it had reached its limit, I only needed something even stronger to contend with it.
I released the new and improved violet smoke stored in my heart and directed it to fuse with my body once more. It had gained a lighter shade of violet from absorbing mana.
The last remnant will of the Netherwyrm Bloodline felt its impending doom and was churning inside me. I have had enough of it.
Everything that my body contained was once again subject to a little remodeling. The Netherwyrm bloodline was once again tempered with. The moment it had fused with my violet body it was bound to become something else.
Now, it had really become something else. It was a new bloodline with the Netherwyrm bloodline and the violet smoke as the source. But since the violet smoke dominated it and modified it, the bloodline I had had nothing to do with the rest on the planet. Even the black flame, the bloodline had gifted me now had a shade of violet in it.
“ Everybody on the planet has turned into a god, with the exception of five who are now prime gods. Physically I am as strong as them, I just do not know the other three’s variant abilities. Lucius got a white fire and Jonas got an upgrade on his soul, not surprising since he is a necromancer, but it is already a huge boon for him.” Alwyn thought.
“ Next. The gauntlet.”
He would not be able to free himself from the bloodline if it had left a time bomb on the gauntlet that he could not remove. He planned to have it fuse with the remaining violet smoke he had.
When he tested the limits of the violet smoke before, he understood that there were none as long as he fed it with energy. As for its magical abilities: healing, eating energy, constructing solid unbreakable objects and being able to fuse with anything at an atomic level as well as sharing its knowledgeable mind, it was only a matter of time before he found even more.
When the violet smoke burrowed itself into the gauntlet, there was no magical resistance. I slowly watched as the gauntlet slowly turned violet. A mental connection was slowly being built.
As it was completely over, I noticed that I could see a weird spell inside my mind. From the violet’s smoke knowledge, it was a teleportation spell. There was also a compressed sun of mana that was stored inside a miniature pocket dimension. The only properties of this gauntlet were to teleport anything anywhere should there be enough mana to support it. The miniature sun of mana inside the pocket dimension acted as fuel for teleportation. That sun also had the ability to input and output mana should the miniature world be opened. Objects could also be stored inside the pocket dimension at the cost of mana for storing and retrieving.
“This makes me and indirect space magician. How nice. But the gauntlet is too conspicuous, I should let the violet smoke inside it reshape it into something that looks useless.” Alwyn thought.
I was about to try and recraft it myself when the violet smoke took charge and made a gorgeous ring out of the entire thing.
“ It seems the violet smoke is more than just a tool. I’ve always thought that it had just an automatic will to help me just like the demon said, but it seems it has its own complete will. Could it be that it levels up just like I do, every time I have it eat energy? Can it communicate now?” he thought. He tried to communicate but got nothing back. All he felt was the need to eat the mana inside the ring.
The mana used by the Netherwyrm bloodline during the hour-long output of mana for its hosts to drink, was just the tip of the iceberg, he was not going to let the rest go to waste when he could just steal it back whenever.
He restarted with the upgrade hoping to have a glimpse at the true limits his violet smoke and body would reach.
“ I hope I am not wrong with this or else it is going to be a huge waste of mana.”
He fused with the last remaining violet smoke. It was now entirely fused with his body. There was none stored at all. He planned to copy the Netherwyrm bloodline in absorbing mana with the body now that he had left the main bloodline and had his own with the violet smoke as the main power of his body.
He absorbed mana for hours and felt nothing. He felt the urge to keep going and he did.
Gradually, his body started transforming into smoke, but he felt no danger. After a few more hours, the entire area had become violet smoke that encircled a ring of the same color. He was still aware of the state of his body. He did not know how much mana remained in the ring but prayed to see something new happen before he ran out.
He knew that past a certain stage, he could go back to transforming into violet smoke. It was nothing new, but he could tell that he needed just a little more time for another change to happen.
The violet smoke then started converging towards the ring. More and more mana kept pouring out in an unprecedented manner. The violet smoke converged and darkened.
The smoke slowly turned into another kind of form. An ethereal substance. A kind of light, a black violet light.
At that stage, Alwyn understood that he had succeeded in leveling up once again. He stopped absorbing mana and let the violet smoke recreate his body. His new body would use the newly evolved bloodline as a template.
His whole body was now black violet. He had returned to the exact shape he had before stealing the Netherwyrm bloodline. He was back to his human shape. This new bloodline was understood the fact that the wings were really useless. The only thing that could be noted was his eyes that now glowed with a violet light. His hair was violet as well.
“Master, I wish to appear before you.” A voice sounded in my head.
“ Finally. ” I thought. Then said: “ Okay.”
Immediately after, I saw a bundle of a black violet element leaving my body and then transform into a body that looked exactly like mine.
