《The Endless Boundary Between Dimensions》Arc 2 - The Road to Recovery [Chapter 12: Expectations]

A television flickered to life, revealing a slender black woman in a red dress with an earpiece on. Her pale red lips parted hypnotically as she read of the cue card just to the left of the broadcasting station.
“We have news coming out of our nation’s capital today, as long time fugitive and number one on the most wanted list Leo Jones has been apprehended by army officials in New York City. Most infamously known for causing the reaction that unleashed Dimension Eaters into our universe, he had recently turned to desecrating and destroying military property before...”
The announcer paused, obviously distressed by what she had just read of the card, but continued on because of what was being said in her ear. “Before attempting to kidnap a young female military officer in New York.”
A look of disgust flashed across her face as her mind had been made up on the matter before she even knew the full story. “What a disgusting act that disregards any sort of human decency. Wouldn’t you agree Todd?”
Turning to her co-worker, the woman spat out her condemnation of Leo’s actions, while Todd just made an uncomfortable face. Todd would have liked to know more details about the story, as well as what Leo’s motivation for attempted kidnapping was, but pressured by grossly disturbed and currently going off-script broadcast partner, all he could do was smile and nod.
“That’s right Sandra. It’s hard to believe someone who committed such condemnable actions was once part of our own military. In fact,” he said, leaning in towards the camera, “It’s hard to believe that someone like that is even human…”
---
“Haha-hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaahahahahaha!” A broken sounding laugh came out of a dark, musky prison cell. Located under the Statue of Liberty, he was trapped in a restraining stock and forced to look at the cell across from him, or rather, what was inside that same cell.
A single, HD television was placed on a chair facing the prisoner. He laughed in self-deprecation and had a bemused smile on as he constantly heard a string of accusations against him, the channel switching occasionally to different news stations around the world.
“Leo Jones, the disgusting criminal who-
彼の行動で數え切れないほどの人々を殺した-
finalmente ha sido encerrado en una prisión de máxima seguridad-
它會腐爛,永遠看不到當天的光芒。”
Finally losing the smile from his face as the supply of background noise seemed endless, Leo grit his teeth and struggled, as best he could, to stare up at the ceiling.
“So this is your plan, huh Christian? Pin all the blame on me? Fine then!?” With a roar, Leo unleashed his anger and frustration vocally.
Mentally, Leo was calm and collected, choosing to display a show of frustration in an attempt to fool Christian Armando that he was closer to his breaking point than he actually was.
Now to see if he falls for the bait…
Leo had been subjected to gruesome torture this past week, having his nails ripped out then shoved back in one after the other, having his fingers broken, having searing hot nails shoved into the tips of his fingers, and even 1000 lashings that gouged out his back and left him a bloody mess.
However, the worst punishment of all was the fact that he hadn’t seen Dantae in a week. What he considered worse than any physical punishment was the insecurity and fear his heart felt at not being able to see Dantae again. Leo thought that the sooner he gave up, the faster Armando would reunite the two to kill them together. As long as he died in her arms, Leo didn’t mind the end of his mortality.

At least, he hoped that was how it would go. He remembered the damned collar on his neck and frowned. Well, at least in the meantime he could make a contingency plan. If Armando didn’t do what Leo expected…
Shoving the negative thoughts out of his mind, Leo shook his head, or at least tried to, and started rubbing the collar against the top of the stocks. After all, one thing had to wear down first: either the collar, or him.
---
“So this is your plan, huh Christian? Pin all the blame on me? Fine then!?” Christian Armando’s prisoner roared while inside his cage. A smirk appeared on the face of a man watching several video cameras, and his attention drifted from his most hated inmate to another screen as well.
On the screen was a woman far more dangerous than the boy, at least at this stage in their lives. No doubt, the boy would surpass the woman in due time, but their combined teamwork had been a thorn in his side. Not one to miss an opportunity, Christian had punished the woman heavily, and while she once may have been called a “beauty,” his torture had turned her into a “waste.”
A disgusting grin crept it’s way onto his face, causing the women and men in the room with him to inadvertently take a step backward away from the terrifying man.
It wasn’t difficult to see: Christian Armando had finally broken. Well, that statement was not entirely true. He hadn’t just broken, but rather had finally stopped concealing how much his wife’s death had hurt him and proudly, in satanic fashion, revealed it for the world to see.
“Let’s go to him, he’s waiting for us.” With a gruff command, the four in question stood at attention and saluted him, only for him to hold them at the door.
“Wait.” He muttered, causing the figures to turn back towards him. “Throw my clones in my cell before my arrival. Oh, and I want the two of you-” he pointed towards the two feminine figures of the group, “to get the other prisoner as well. Don’t forget to cauterize her wounds after disconnecting her from the generator.” With that, the four left to do their own tasks, and left Armando to head towards his nemesis alone.
---
It hadn’t even been twenty minutes since Leo’s outburst when the door to his prison block opened and a man in a jet-black suit with a sapphire tie and teal dress shirt walked through the corridor, and headed straight towards his cell.
“I suppose I have tired of these games,” the man spoke, “after punishing my wife’s killer for a straight week, I thought it would bring me more satisfaction than it actually did. It’s quite a shame really.” He smirked, but it immediately disappeared as Leo flashed a smile of his own.
“That’s because your pathetic brain subconsciously realizes that no matter what you do to me, it won’t ever make you feel better.” This time Christian’s smile turned into a frown, deeply engraved in his aging face.
“It won’t bring her back, it won’t bring you back, and it especially won’t make you feel better, You will be left with a sense of loss your entire life, and deep down, you will know that it was your fault.” Leo sneered, causing Christian to shudder in rage.

Suddenly, Christian turned to the television across from Leo before opening the cage it was in, and punching it in the screen, abruptly ending any sound that was in the room. Leo looked on confused as Christian pulled his bloodied hand from the wreckage of the tv and moved it to the side of the prison cell, before stepping out and ushering in two people who Leo hadn’t even noticed were in the doorway.
Leo clicked his tongue at that realization. If only this damn collar were off so I could use void sense!
“That’s!” Leo was stunned as Adrian and Rob led several chained up and malnourished clones of Christian into the cell across from him, before forcefully pushing them into one corner of the dirty prison.
Adrian scoffed at Leo, “As for what is about to happen to you…” He paused, which offered little comfort to Leo’s confusion, “Serves you right you terrorist.”
In opposition to Adrian’s hostility, Leo was met with overwhelming sympathy from Rob’s tear-stained face. “Leo, I’m so sorry. They took my sister and I can’t- If only you had killed me earlier I would have-”
Leo interrupted him with a sigh. While he didn’t particularly care for the boy, he felt an odd parallel between Rob and his sister, and between himself and Dantae.
“It’s okay Rob,” he said in the most reassuring voice he could muster, “I know you didn’t mean it, but…”
He looked across at the clones of Christian. Something was off about them, but Leo couldn’t quite pin down what.
“Oh my, are you curious?” Christian bragged and Leo avoided his gaze. "As you are probably aware of from their appearance, these clones are me. Or, well, me with most of the intelligence taken out. However I did leave one thing essential for humanity in them.”
He paused, letting Leo mull it over before his eyes went wide, seeing the erect lower half of the clones. A feeling of dread crept up Leo’s mind as he assumed the worst.
“Armando, don’t you dare-!” his words were cut short as a figure wrapped in white cloth was pushed into the room by two women. The hostile Alison and Lena stared at Leo as they closed the door behind them.
“It’s been a while, Leo.” Lena scoffed, and in comparison Alison just looked on at Leo with dead eyes. Why does she have that stare!? Leo angrily thought. If anyone, I should-!
“Let’s get this show on the road, shall we?” Armando said giddily and pointed to the rags in the center of the room.
Adrian lifted the rags away and revealed a silhouette that horrified Leo and caused his heart to sink.
He quickly shifted his gaze away from the two women and looked onto the floor at the mess of rags. Her once long and beautiful hair had been shaved off, revealing the tan skin underneath. She had lacerations all over her body and her left eye was sewn shut. But worst of all, her beautiful figure had been detracted from by the two scarred stubs where her arms used to be.
Leo’s heart sank and a black rage started to consume his heart. Rob started to vomit in the corner of the room while a single tear dripped down each of Alison’s eyes. “Christian!!” Leo screamed, but he was still stuck in the stock, relegated to only watching the ensuing performance.
---
The sound of flesh slapping against flesh could be heard from the cell across from him. Head and arms forced into a stock, while being rendered powerless by the collar around his neck, he was made to watch his beloved being violated over and over again by Christian himself. Or rather, his mindless, lustful clones.
Leo couldn’t count how long it had been. Hours? Days? The people in the room had left and come back several times, and each time Armando came back with that triumphant grin on his face, he felt the darkness in his heart become more and more black, inseparable with the deepest depths of hell. He had only cried for the first three rounds, but once it was apparent Dantae lacked the strength to wake up, that sadness had also turned into rage.
Finally, orgasm after orgasm, thrust after thrust, the clones fell dead from a lack of nourishment and strenuous exercise. In the aftermath was left Dantae, his sweet Vanessa covered in the vile semen of Christian Armando. Leo seethed in rage, and was only reminded of the place and occasion when he heard Christian say, “Open the portal.”
Leo noticed that Maria was curiously missing from the group as Alison, Lena, and Rob stood in a triangle and opened a large tear in dimensions, prompting Adrian to extract Vanessa from the cage and place her on the floor in Leo’s cell, before doing the same to Leo, who he placed in handcuffs.
Leo hurriedly moved to shield his betrothed from Armando, but noticing the smile of the man in question, he angrily barked, “What’s so funny!? What did you do to her?” His voice lost is emotion as he weakly finished his sentence.
“Why, we hooked her up to our newly invented photon generator. You have no idea how economically and environmentally sound human labor is.” He chuckled to himself before motioning to Adrian to pick them both up.
The bodybuilder did so with little difficulty, and proceeded to hold them above the empty void the cadets had created. Adrian walked up, a newfound happiness on his face.
“Farewell Leo. I know you are strong, but not even you could escape a black hole without the use of your powers. May you rest in hell.” He snapped his fingers and Adrian let go, but not before Rob stopped sending his powers to the void.
Lena and Alison grunted in discomfort and were stunned from moving due to the new burden placed upon them. Rob stretched his hand out, and Christian watched with widened eyes as Rob tore off the worn-down collar from Leo, who had been too preoccupied with Vanessa’s rape to wear down the collar any more than he already had.
Leo’s eyes met with Rob’s as he fell through the portal and a singular thought crossed through his mind, I will avenge you. The portal closed as Christian screamed in dismay, and promptly shot Rob in the head, vainly trying to get back at the man who had ruined his perfect plan.
