《Myth Of Men》Authors notes, volume 2, chapters 1 to 8.

Okay, in a similar fashion to before, without the rants obviously, I will be going through the points I think are important to state. Whether to point out things that will affect the future, or things that affect the chapters here. This is the last authors note chapter, since I don't feel like alot will be necessary in later installments. I'll add any more notes onto the chapters it's needed on.

I now want to explain the names. I find it ironic that Nexus references hiiro from Konjiki no Word-master in his review, since I made Doki/ Hiiro's name before basing him off this character. I want to think I only took this character's name, but I think a few other aspects of him seeped into mine. I named Shun and Yun based on the names of the MC in OSO, Han Jeehan was based off the MC in The Gamer. I believe that's all the references I made in names though.

Oh yeah, the names _____ and such for the admins were references to the company Underscore_Gaming you may remember were the makers of Myth Of Men. It's definitely not that I'm bad with names, so wanted to make it easy on myself or anything... of course not.

And for countries names, the only one unexplained so far is 'Hangou', although obvious, it's a butchering of the traditional Chinese for South Korea.

I might as well go into the game parodies I created, going from first mentioned, only the ones in volume two though, as I think I covered volume 1's earlier. SolarCraft 2 is obviously StarCraft 2. Radiation scepter is Nuclear throne, Bunni-Bunni is Rabi-Rabi, BeaPoke is PokeMon and Planet Of Peace is World Of Warcraft. By the way, the MOM POP thing wasn't on purpose, I've never heard anyone actually call their father 'pop', 'papa' or anything really starting with a 'p'. Not to offend those who do, I've just not met one of you elusive creatures.

As I said, if I'm good enough at writing, this hassle will pay off. If not, I'm sorry for trying and failing.

Also, if you think I'm not ranting as much anymore, like no nihilistic rant in the first few paragraphs, you are probably correct. It's not like I'm not able to come up with new rants. I'm just starting to feel like nonsensical ranting isn't a good thing. Although most of them were pretty relevant, I'm not really at points to do any more and not repeat myself. So sorry for the masochists reading this who really want to be continuously offended by me, but that's the way the cookie crumbles.

Another thing to note is the fact this is series is based on a University, not a high-school. It's obvious from the many times I've stated it already I know, I'm just saying. This specific University basically allows it's scholarship students to go rent-free in their dorms without having to go to any lectures, just tests. They're expecting 95% or higher in pretty brutal tests in which the average is about 40%-50%, and a single drop will end this for them. And Hiiro/ Doki abuses this to just play games all day, since he finds the tests easy.

I think the chapters are pretty self explanatory, so I'll just explain the reason for there being two different story-lines. Basically, I love Log Horizon, but became curious to what they were doing physically out of the game at that point. I also didn't like how the majority of stories in this genre don't end (especially anime like Log Horizon). So I wanted to have a series that mixes the forced in-game life thing with what is happening to the real world MC too, and get to a good finishing point, which I have planned. I'm also using this as a chance to let Anime and manga build up so I binge them later. So it's a win-win for me. I'm planning for this series to get about 80 or 90 chapters, so I won't be done for a while. I can only hope it's done well so I don't feel compelled to re-write it...

There are some chapter specific things I might as well point out now:

Chapter 1: *'???'* meant to point out a new person's POV, even though, SPOILER ALERT, it's Doki from another story line. I thought it'd be funny to do this, as it adds in an unnecessary suspense as to who this brand new character is. Also, ??? calls their room his 'Tomb', basically to reference that they knows they spends way too much time in there, and their death in those four walls is inevitable... they care not though. ??? also claims to buy the game, whilst it was given to them for free. Basically it didn't come with adapters, and those adapters cost so much ??? claims to buy it anyway. Just a warning for a future spoilers, ??? does lie about their self, but which parts? I won't say now, as I have like 80 more chapters to do so. Finally, NovelPunch is FaceBook and Bratter is Twitter.

Chapter 2: Nothing here to really point out. Apart from the fact that because he's alone, he actually thinks it's important to see what the NPCs say whilst shopping, unlike his other self. I might as well admit, I don't know if there really are Goblin or Slime fan fictions. You're free to look up the answer yourself, though you may get yelled at for linking them here, and I'm not covering for you.

Chapter 3: William Tell was a medieval archer who'd name is synonymous with good aim. For the gaming terms: RTS = Real Time Strategy, a video game genre. APM = Actions Per Minutes, a measurement of speed whilst playing games. 'Micro' is a term used to describe movements done for individual, or small groups of units, whereas 'Macro' is a term for large scale movements of whole armies.

Chapter 4: Again, not much to point out here. Mainly just references to unit types and armies from Starcraft 2.

Chapter 5: I'll explain the in-game populations, there is about 1.1 million people playing the game, roughly one quarter of the real world population (If this is different in any other chapter it is an error). I could go into detail behind many more things, but since they're brought up later too. I see no reason to spoil them now.

Chapter 6: There isn't much to explain here that won't be explained later. Though Clan names are made without spaces, causing those creating them to not put spaces, or use underscores instead.

Chapter 7: Okay, a couple of points here. First, Hiiro/ Doki has alot of ways to fight, being able to fight head-on with an OP move-set, a mediocre move-set or fighting with his mob army. At this point he wants to test out his own strength, knowing his mob army hasn't been trained that well. And this is kind of the point I want to make with this. The character of Doki is OP, his rare and good skills do have faults making them even, but it's Doki's personal skill and ability to make the best choices quickly that makes him OP. There however will be other chapters based in other people's POV to make up for it, like chapters in Shun's POV. So sorry for making him seem too good, hopefully other chapters will make up for it..

Also, apparently according to members of WriTE, the name 'Hot Clan on Clan action, with me in the middle...' was way too saucy for a chapter title. Hence I unfortunately changed it to what it is now. Sorry for this, not keeping the not-pg 15+ market 100% pure with my daring antics.

Chapter 8: Nothing to say. If you think I was introducing multiple different points to try and create suspense for what happens in the future of volume 2, well done. I'm not spoiling what happens though. Have fun waiting.

The classes and stats work the same as said in the last authors notes. Thanks for reading, and I hope you enjoy the rest of this fiction. I feel like the second volume went smoother than the first and hopefully I'll make all the other chapters is even more smooth.
