《Fighter's Journey In Pokemon World》5.Entering the City

Dean saw that the aura was similar to the growlithe's, he was getting some idea about the aura
Dean: ' All the wild pokemon he has seen has one shade of green aura other than machop, growlithe was also the same as machop's. That Growlithe should have had some training as it was part of the pokemon police force, it had a bit darker shade aura than the wild pokemon he has seen other than machop. machop is also untrained even though it trains but it can't compare to the training done with their trainers'.
'Two types of green auras, one from untrained wild pokemon another is from slightly trained pokemon' "I have to guide machop properly" he mumbled and glanced at his first pokemon, he smiled when he saw machop doing pushups.
Dean: " Machop come here" machop ended his little push-up session and arrived in front of him.
" I don't have any Pokeballs, so you'll have to wait until I get my pokeballs in the city until then you will be sticking with me outside" macho didn't say anything just stared at the pokeballs on his belt.
Dean: "That's not mine, I took it from two very bad guys, besides these may have pokemon in them" machop just nodded its head. Between getting machop and thinking about aura, he had forgotten about the rocket grunts.
'I don't want to think about them now', he took the pokeballs in his hand and considered for a few minutes before putting them back. he didn't want to take the risk by seeing what's inside the Pokeball. He could protect himself or escape if its anything dangerous though he highly doubts those grunts having a decent pokemon, but has to think about machop.
Dean: "Let's go machop, I don't want to stay here at night besides I need to get you some pokemon food and we both need some sleep"
machop nodded its head.
He walked out of the cave and started running slowly, machop followed. After a minute, he came to the location of skid marks, he picked up his pace following the tracks. He saw few rattatas along the way but didn't stop even though he very much wanted to battle as he wanted to see how machop would fare against other pokemon, rattata would be a perfect practice pokemon. He noticed that machop wanted to fight with those wild rattatas so he said

Dean: " Patience, you will get your chance soon but now we have to reach the city before the nightfall" he looked at the setting sun and ran even faster. he finally saw the road after some time and slowed down, machop also came beside him huffing lightly. He saw two people dressed in police uniform asking for IDs of people entering the city. 'OH it's the pewter city but how to enter? I don't have any ID so sneaking is the best option, hmm the entrance is being constantly watched I guess I need a distraction' he picked up the small stone and signalled machop, both of them hid near the entrance in bushes and waited.
He waited until he saw only a single person coming towards his direction few meters away from the entrance, just as the person was a few feet away from the officers he threw the stone towards him lightly 'Sorry man, I'll repay you in the future if possible' he mentally apologized to the unfortunate person. As the stone hit the person
*Agh*
His shout alerted the officers as they came close to see why the man was crouching down holding his head and they asked him if he was alright. Dean and machop easily slipped inside and started walking hurriedly, he looked back at the two officers and the man
Dean: 'Hope I didn't throw that stone too hard. It's better to not come in contact with the police before getting the ID in pokemon centre. Two officers that's strange usually its just jenny, maybe its related to the kid incident earlier and I wonder how that kid is' he shook his head and decided to not give it too much thought.
He stood there for a moment to enjoy the view of sunset between the buildings as last of sun rays hit him and machop. machop also stood there sharing the same feeling but was excited since its first time seeing the city and so many people. After watching the sunset both looked at each other smile spreading across their faces, they started walking in some random direction, he called the lady walking down the street kindly
Dean: "Excuse me, Miss"
Lady: "Yes?" she turned around to see the person who stopped her and she was stunned to see its a handsome stranger and his pokemon. 'Wow! He looks like a hot model that I saw on TV. No!! he is even better than that guy, look at the jawline, that hair, his eyes and finally that body. Ahh I wanna rip that shirt off this moment'

Dean wanted to ask the lady, direction for the pokemon centre but as soon as she turned she stared at him, he even saw a little drool come out of her mouth
Dean: "Miss? Miss?" he thought 'I think its better to ask someone else. Ahh, she is leaning towards me and what is wrong with her eye? why is she looking with that hungry expression? ' he ran away from there dragging machop who was glaring at the lady as machop thought she was an enemy by her current expression. He continued dragging machop away thinking about her reaction, then it suddenly he remembered 'Damn! Now I get it, I'm in my 20-year-old body. No wonder people are looking at me like that especially ladies' he gave a wry smile knowing that he had to get used to this kind of looks from ladies from now on. He knew he was handsome, back on earth also he was approached by many young girls and ladies. He dated a few people, slept with some but never been in a relationship. It wasn't like he was afraid, its more like he didn't have time between training, spending time with his master and the jobs plus women who approached him were just attracted to his looks and other were looking for one night stands. He considered his looks both as good and bad thing, good as in he can charm his way to get information sometimes and bad because he drew unnecessary attention to himself. He just looked at machop
Dean: " Relax now, she was not looking at me like that due to hostility. Hah leave it I don't want to think about it" he released machop's hand and said. He learned his lesson and didn't ask women who were single even though they had a hopeful expression on their face. He asked a middle-aged couple for the directions 'What the hell!! why are you looking at me like I stole something from you Uncle" he thought as he watched as the wife staring at him with light blush and the glaring uncle. He didn't want to deal with this shit so he just turned to look at the old man with a walking stick and oddish by his side who was looking happily at the surroundings occasionally jumping. Dean seeing this smiled
Oldman: "He is just excited since it's his first time coming here" Oldman explained seeing that he was gazing at oddish
Dean: "Sorry for staring, It's just oddish looked too happy " he apologized but the old man just waved his hand
Old man: "Oh by the way, Are you looking for the pokemon centre?" dean raised an eyebrow at this question "I watched your interaction with that couple over there" he looked at the direction where the old man was pointing and saw the couple he had asked for directions earlier were fighting. Dean seeing this was surprised
Dean: "Can you give me the directions for the pokemon centre?" he sighed, seeing this old man laughed and told the way for pokemon center.
Oldman: "Cheer up young man, their fight is not your fault, I have some business to attend so take care Youngman. Being Handsome is troublesome" saying that old man walked away followed by cheerful oddish, even though he mumbled the last part dean heard it. He didn't say anything just followed the directions and he finally arrived at the pokemon centre which had a giant Pokeball symbol.
Dean: "This is it machop, I will be an official trainer after registering here and our journey will officially start from here." he said a bit excitedly. He went inside pokemon centre, he saw both people and pokemon. He concentrated on the pokemon but he was stunned at the sight, he was greeted with the view that would not be erased from his memory in his entire life.

Someday, he’ll find where his family went. Someday, he’ll uphold his end of the bargain and hunt beings powerful beyond anything he’s ever known. Someday, he might even – hatch? “CHEEP!?” Things to Know: -Cheep!? Will release on a minimum weekly schedule. -After a backlog of chapters, posting will slow, but in the interim you can expect a chapter a day up until roughly 25 chapters. -This story at times will potentially carry some heavy moments, but the tone is intended to be lighter overall. -There are invisible game-like elements in this story, but nothing so concrete as a dedicated gamelit novel. -I personally have some issues with anxiety, so I may or may not interact with the community a lot. I'll try if anyone has questions, but I can't guarantee that it'll be consistent. -MC is a non-human lead, and will never actually become human. Romance will potentially happen between side-characters, but not with the MC. -MC IS NOT THE ONLY VIEW POINT. I have to put that out there because people sometimes hate alternate PoV's in a story. None of them will be filler, and they'll be there only to give a little bit more nuance and meaning to the world that the MC has stepped in, or is about to be imminently important. I'll try to keep them down, but this also helps to prevent me from burning out getting trapped in one view. -Most of all, I hope that this story is enjoyable to you, and that you have a great time reading it! -Written by Michael Adams, Cowritten/Edited by Summer Kent

A sickness is spreading. Dungeons are dying and crumbling to dust. Monsters that had been residing in them gather in hordes and spill out in waves over the neighboring kingdoms, swallowing them whole. The last of the Heroes are dying out. For some reason, new heroes haven’t been born or summoned into this world for the last century. Oracles have no answers. They are going blind and mute: seeing no futures and telling no prophecies. And while all this is happening, the [Voice], the entity that had been guiding everyone from the very beginning of time, is silent. Leaving humans and others with no guidance to solve this problem. Is this the end of Time? Author's note: Being someone with full-time work and with a rolling schedule, I'll update whenever I have time, so no promises on a consistent schedule. *This is a slow paced story with dungeon building elements showing up later on. *In this world, a dungeon seed first needs to prove its worth and only then it gets the chance to become a dungeon core and grow. *All art is by me

Two Existentialists | S.R.
"How many existentialists does it take to screw a lightbulb?" Spencer asked with a small laugh. Once again the room was silent. You faintly heard Agent Rossi mutter, "Don't.""2. One to change the light bulb and one to observe how it symbolizes an incandescent beacon of subjectivity in a netherworld of cosmic nothingness," he said. The room was silent still, until you laughed. His eyes looked up at yours in confusion. "Wouldn't they sit in the dark and hope that the bulb decided to light again? An existentialist would never change the bulb. He would allow the darkness to exist," you questioned.-#1 #spencerreid#1 #mgg#1 emilyprentiss
