As the three entered a different zone, a screen popped out.

Blood Forest

Unlike the name, the zone was green, except for the large red apes moving atop the trees. This is the third zone they entered, the first two being the rain forest and the beginner grounds.

Rina stared at one of the apes, until a screen popped out.

She made a small nod to herself as she said. “Let’s start here.”

“As you wish master.” Said Decima as she grabbed the sword on her waist.

“Yessu master!” Said Nona as she saluted.

“Nona, pull one mob using fire ball.”

Nona pointed her rod to one of the apes and recited the spell. “Fire ball!” A ball of flames at the size of a fist was sent to a blood ape.

“Decima, stay with Nona.” Said Rina as she ran to the blood ape that’s running to them.

The ape’s target was Nona, so it ran past Rina, who then stabbed it from the back. “Nona, fire another one and walk closer. Decima, stay in front of her!”

Nona sent another fire ball to the ape, making it confused as who it should hit. Slowly, they surrounded the ape, with Nona being the farthest from it.

When Decima got closer, Rina started ordering her to attack, while she ran around stabbing the ape in different places.

Rina and Decima got hit a few times, but they weren’t damaged much, because before they got there, Rina used legend stone on all their equipment, making their set equivalent to a level thirty five set.

They surpass the ape in power, but since they’re still at level one, they don’t have good skills yet, so it took time to take down one blood ape.

They defeated the ape three minutes after they pulled it. As soon as it vanished, coins and materials dropped on the ground, and Rina heard eleven consecutive bell sounds, indicating eleven level ups.

She could only hear hers, so she opened the party screen to check the other two’s level.

The other two only gained three levels, but it didn’t surprise Rina. They got around 33.33% of the exp, while she got 100% which became 200% because of the premium kit.

“Hmhmhm, praise me master.” Said Nona.

Decima was silent, but her anticipating look made it obvious she also wanted to be praised.

“Good work, Nona, Decima.”

“Ehehe”

Decima remained silent, but her tail waved around.

The baby dragon that was flying above them landed, and looked at Rina like it also wanted to be praised despite not doing anything but fly above them.

Rina simply smiled and patted the baby dragon’s head, which made it fly and circle around the sky from happiness.

It could also attack like mercenaries, but that’s when it’s fully grown. While it’s still an infant, it’s only purpose is being a decoration.

Rina picked up the drops of the blood ape and said. “Ok you two, let’s continue grinding.”

“As you wish master.”

“Yessu master!”

The three defeated monsters one by one and went further inside the blood forest, meeting mobs beside the blood apes.

With majority of the players still in the beginner grounds and a few on the rain forest, they have the whole blood forest for themselves. There might be other pay-to-win players in the zone, but it won’t be enough to fight over grinding spots.

“One more, do it Nona!” Said Rina.

“Hai! Fire ball!” A ball of blue flames at the size of a head was sent to the red leaved treant at the size of three adult human, reducing its hp to zero.

When the treant vanished, large amount of coins scattered on the ground, and accessories dropped.

When Rina touched the coins, it automatically got stored in her inventory, leaving the two pieces of matching rings made from red wood.

She checked the current level and condition of the two by opening the party screen.

Since Rina is already level twenty five, the two gained a level, and they have killed the zone boss, Rina decided to take a break.

She picked up the ring, and was surprised with what she saw.

That stats given were a perfect fit for her two mercenaries. She gave the rings to the two who where waiting to be praised. “Here’s a reward for your hard work.”

Nona immediately took it with and wore it on her left ring finger. “Ehehe”

Decima took it and wore it on her right ring finger. With a slightly blushed face, she said. “Thank you master. I’ll wear it forever.”

“Don’t, you have to wear a better ring once your level get’s higher.”

“Then I’ll treasure it.”

The baby dragon landed, waiting for Rina to give him something.

“Sorry Ragus, I don’t have anything to give you.”

Dejected, Ragus flew slowly to the sky.

Since their grinding is over, Rina checked the time.

5:37 AM

They started at around 9:00 pm, so they have grinded for eight and a half hours.

Her butler will wake her at around 8:00 am for breakfast, so she still has time to spend.

“Let’s go back to the city.”

“As you wish master.”

“Ehehe” Nona’s still happy about the gift her master gave her.

“Nona?”

“E...ah...Yes master!”

As they walked back, they encountered other pay-to-win players, but they only had one mercenary at most, some only had half enchanted beginner set. They also saw dead mercenaries, somehow worrying Rina, since she didn’t want the same to happen to her servants.

If Decima dies without Nona having resurrection spell, Decima will be gone forever. If Nona dies, even if she has resurrection spell, she’ll be gone forever. Ragus won’t die, he’s too faraway from danger.

They leveled up fast because they have powerful gears, letting them stay safe and letting them kill mobs faster.

With crafting equipment, finding party members, and grinding out of the list, Rina’s only problem now is completing quests, starting from level one quests, up to her level twenty five job change quest.

While walking she checked her stats.

Her build as a rogue is final, there is nothing more to change, now all that awaits is for her to take her job change quest.

One of the things a mercenary can’t do is taking quests. They don’t have any quests, and when they need a job change, their owner will have to do it for them.

After her job change, Rina still has to take the first job change quest twice, but unlike hers which has a lot of prerequisite quests, she can take the main job change quests instantly after the two reaches level twenty five.

When they reached rain forest, there were more people. It was not crowded yet, but it should be soon.

Everyone was surprised to see someone with two mercenaries and a pet, the three even had glowing equipment that’s emitting aura, meaning they’re equipment are enchanted.

Rina wore a red garb and a scarf, with red glow and aura; Decima wore a silver armor, with white glow and aura; and Nona wore a gray robe, with dark glow and aura. Ragus was simply naked, since he’s a dragon.

With the thickness of the aura around them, beta players were sure they had +9 or +10 equipment.

The people stopped and stared at them as they walked back to the beginner grounds. Some injured by the mobs from getting distracted, and some injured by their girlfriends because of jealousy.

Once they got to the city, Rina took her first chain quests, and for her, it is the hardest and most annoying chain quest of all.
