《Pink Mage》Knowledge Yo!

Micky arrived for his usual appointment with Yondola. She was sipping tea from some blue and white porcelain cup with weird ridges and no handle. Micky had asked where she got green tea in the first place, it wasn't like the local black tea. She had returned fire asking if he had known where tea came from in the first place. He had obviously replied 'yes' tea trees, like the farm just outside the town. Yolanda smacked him. She told him it had been stolen hundreds of thousands of years ago by a long fallen empire from the far south. And that this was a traditional tea set from the empire that stole it. Micky just nodded his head since he could care less. And Yolanda muttered kids 'these days, no appreciation' while sighing deeply.
"Today we are going to try something a little bit different. Do you know about space items and neutral magic?" Said Yolanda.
"Um, your going to tell me right?" Micky said with confused, but sparkling eyes.
Yolanda sighed, but said, “Yes, I’m going to tell you. And consequently, that answers the question. Space items are made by mages with space magic. And space magic is a colorless, neutral magic that all mages can learn to use eventually. Prominent spells include spacial expansion, like in those space bags you hear about in your stories, and teleport, again, just like in the stories, and finally spells like space crush, and attack spell.”
Micky screamed srhilly “Attack spell?!”
Yolanda blocked her ears till he was done and said “Yes, an attack spell, don’t do that!”
Micky looked away sheepishly and said “Sorry...”
Yolanda said “Anyway, to create a spacial storage you need to create an alternative space. Which reminds me, although I’m not one for clans take this.” she paced Micky a badge.
“This is a clan badge, it’s useless except for the fact that it counts as a storage device.” Yolanda said.
Micky’s eyes bulged with greed.
“Don’t get greedy, you have to make it first. All of my disciples are mages themselves so they make their own storage devices. Nonmages in clans usually get one when they rank up to a higher order.” Said Yolanda. Micky nodded along.
“So when do I get an attack spell?” Micky said hastily.

“You don’t.” Yolanda said finally. Micky looked crushed. “Look kid, you need to be able to fold space at least a hundred times before you can make an attack spell strong enough to hurt more than a slime. Don’t let all that cutting space crap they feed you in your stories fool you. Do you honestly think that concepts simply end because you cut them? The bonds that make us up cross dimensions! Why do you think dimensional travel works in the first place? Because when you travel in another demension you become a part of that dimension. So 2d becomes 3d and 3d becomes 4d and 7d becomes 3d when it is bound to that dimensional plane. With me so far?” Said Yolanda.
Micky did not follow, he shook his head with his eyes glazed over. Yolanda sighed in disappointment and then said “Then memorize because you will need to add in something to actually separate that space in the first place in order to cut through an object. Technically it is called the 0d blade or 00 blade. It is a common enchantment on swords at a higher level. Basically with a blade of 0d they can cut between the space between space. This doesn’t actually do anything itself but if that is the edge of a broadsword then it can chop through literally everything like it was less than nothing.
On the other hand, if you just chopped with 00 it would do less than nothing. The stuff that makes up the stuff that is us wouldn’t even move. There would be no slicing of space, no sudden shift of things nothing. And don’t even think of that bullshit ‘breaking space’! That kind of shit is something that only those beings more powerful than gods would do and never on purpose. Broken space is the worst kind of pollution imaginable, it is literally breaking the universe down and will take a literal eternity to reform. It is dangerous to all things, and even things that exist outside the realm of universe, or even multiverses. It is nothing good, and usually results in punishment of those beings beyond your comprehension.”
Yolanda took a sip of her tea then continued “On the other hand when you enchant that, you should first reduce space to 2d, then 1d, and then when you start reversing it, at 5d you should have about four thousand ish fingernails worth of storage, or one hundred twenty feet worth.”

Micky pictured that, the small badge was a piece of metal about a half fingernail thick by four fingernails long by four fingernails wide (For those having trouble figuring it out, that’s about .5 cm by 4 cm by 4 cm, or 8 cm cubed and squaring for each dimension means 4096 cm3). “So when do I get an attack spell?” Micky said, ignoring the math…
Yolanda sighed, she always sighed with new disciples. Although he was her fifth to last disciple now. “If, and I say this with a grain, no, the whole friggen ocean of salt, if you can make it to a few hundred dimensions of spacial actualization, you can send a ball of it, or a blade, to attack and enemy. This usually doesn’t give them more than a tummy ache but at a few hundred you might be able to deal damage when the dimensions collapse back down to 3d space. This is also what is called dimensional turbulence when you travel through dimensional gateways and teleports. Though, the two achieve the same thing through exact opposite ways. A dimensional gateway compresses the distance into multiple dimensions, more bang for your coin, and more milage for each step you take, while teleportation collapses dimensions so that there is a translocation effect between you and the location you are trying to relocate, then reality snaps back and you move from where you were to where you want to go without actually moving.
We also call teleportation the halvsies because your actually just shrinking the ‘distance’ of where you were supposed to teleport and were you actually end up. It’s why teleportation is so inexact, and each dimension that you shrink, which is usually all of them, is just another variable to where you will actually land. Don’t try this at home, or anywhere without my guidance. Forget about ending up inside something, that just takes some dimensional translocation, passing through walls basically. No, the worst is if you end up in a prison dimension, you will not leave even in death… and no I do not mean [Dead], it is worse, much much worse...” Micky shivered. He could tell that whatever Yolanda meant by not [Dead] but death was much worse than anything he could imagine.
“So yes, where were we? Oh yes, you need to figure out how to collapse dimensions before you can create them. Each mage’s dimensional storage is completely different. This is why you get some that keep things in a suspended state of time, and those that accelerate time, why some can keep living things inside, and some will quickly kill them. Why some can force things inside, and some cannot. There are too many intricacies and nuances to figure out until you actually make yours, and yes, you could spend the rest of your life crafting and enchanting bags of holding or space rings or dimensional storage holds for the clans. This is something that some of my disciples do for spare change, but I wouldn’t rely on it. Yes, they are expensive, yes, the clans and kingdoms need no end to them, yes it is something the rich and powerful need, and no, there is no real market for it. It’s funny that way, if you try to make real money from it’s like the endless need suddenly dries up and you’re in the hole now.”
“As for other colorless magic, or cantrips, there are some, time magic for example is colorless and inherent to all mages. But even if they are cantrips, certain mages have a disposition for it and others, do not. You as a [Pink Mage] will never be able to cast a [Mana Missile] for example, the most basic of all magic and something any other mage could cast.” Said Yolanda. Micky knew this well. [Mana Missile] was the first thing that he had tried to cast as a mage. He would have liked to cast a [Fireball] but even though [Pink Mage] was related to red it is also almost counter to it. Micky had also failed miserably at trying to none system cast a [Mana Missile] and ended up bedridden for a week and a half because of it. It was not a good experience.
“So yes, finish up compressing space, and then uncompressing it which shouldn’t take long, and then ask me about firing off a space crush when you get to 100d.” Said Yolanda.

Blood & Noodles
[participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge] As they always have, humanity hunts the gods roaming the world, craving the supernatural power that flows within their veins. Even a drop is zealously guarded, passed from master to student through the ages. It is with this stolen power that the Blooded - those with divine blood coursing through them - grasp beyond mortality and achieve prestige, power, and greatness. Yet, for every fraction of power gained, thousands perish, slain by the gods' supernatural prowess. But everything is beginning to change. Eight years ago, for the first time in human memory, a god was felled. Part-time chef and full-time nuisance Orvi wants nothing to do with gods. Living in a derelict city, his only concerns are ensuring his adopted family's restaurant is prosperous and how to best beat the neighbourhood boys in a fight. If he's lucky, he might even snag a date with the farmer's daughter at the market. But even though he cares nothing for the gods or their blood, the world won't leave him alone forever. Because to reach godhood, one must first leave their humanity behind. *** The first arc of Blood & Noodles follows the adolescent Orvi as he attempts to navigate his rapidly changing home and - by his own definition - protect his family. The story is told almost entirely in the first-person, from the perspective of a teenager who isn't always the sharpest tool in the shed. There are tragic elements, especially in the current arc. It's character-focused and driven, though the protagonist's shenanigans are backdropped by a world operating independently from him. Orvi's a generally light-hearted character, and though the story veers into darker territory, I also want it to be able to make readers smile. Action sequences, despite the fantastical elements, are meant to be grounded and clearly-conveyed; Orvi is a brawler, not a warrior. I'm trying to write a story that's enjoyable to read and flows nicely, mainly because it's more fun to write. I'm also trying to improve my writing, so any feedback, whether positive or negative, is welcome!

The fact that characters in this story have different POV about the mysteries happening in the story doesnt always mean their hunches are right.

Chasing Darkness
Lilith's first time parachuting at night was a disaster. Fictional Gods clashed before her eyes. Caught in the crossfire, Lilith traveled through Space and Time. Her reality was turned into her favorite childhood game, Pokemon. The beginning of journey shrouded in the Dark. A Pursuit of something Greater. *** Author Notes: As a writer, I enjoy the 'How' and 'Why' thing happen in a story over 'What' happens. This will not, however, diminish plot points in the story. Each Arc will be well thought out. This Fanfic explores what it would be like in a reality where Pokemon exist. Most other Fanfics are based on game or anime logic. I will be taking the point of view of a Progression Fantasy. I will try to update every Weekday at Noon Central. P.S. I do this for fun. As I am an amateur writer, I expect complaints and criticism. Anything other than constructive will be ignored. Well thought out Reviews, please. *I Do NOT own Pokemon in any way, shape or form. *I created the Cover in all its pixilated glory.
