《Pink Mage》81, up to mischief...

Tera was a good girl, she thought. Or at least she was most of the time, some of the time, on occasion… when she felt like it. The party had ended with the gift giving and everybody went home, including ‘Aunty Yolanda, the too young to be and aunty… aunt’. She was nice, even though she pinched their cheeks to hard as she was saying that. The other ‘too young to be and aunt, aunt’ did the same though. Of course, Asnwhatever actually looked young other then… Tera felt a chill down her spine that interrupted that thought.
Brightfur, Marry and her started walking upstairs happy to go looking for Prin, or reluctantly Micky to pester. Brightfur was a shy girl, and as the ‘premium product’ Tera had not interacted with her much. But now that she had become a servant with her Tera had been bringing her on all of her misadventures… No! She meant missions! They sounded better that way and not like she was up to no good at all!
Anyway, she was making her way upstairs. But the noises and sounds of yelling were loud enough for her to hear. Brightfur already had her ears down and she was crouching to make herself look smaller. It was a nervous tick that was still there from when she was in the orphanage. She was being trained to be a battle slave after all and it wouldn’t do for her to be disobedient to her betters. Of course, Tera thought she was just naturally cowardly. It didn’t matter now though.
Tera grabbed Brightfur and pulled her along, Marry was already used to following her and keeping her out of trouble. Brightfur had to be taught how to do that!... No, she meant that she had to be taught how to follow her lead! Yes, that was what it was. They would follow her shining example as the great leader she was!
Anyways, there was sneaking to be done! And if there was anything the orphanage taught her, it was to get the scoop so she knew what to do next, and not to be nosy enough to get it chopped off. Two very different things that had a very fine line between them.

“Fuck! How dare she do this to me! Fuck that stupid bitch in her eye socket with a ten foot spear!” Said a male voice. Probably Micky considering.
“She probably didn’t mean it that way, you know that?” Said a very base female voice. That would be Prin then.
A hand slams on the table. Though this seems to be rehearsed. They have probably had this argument before, multiple times actually. “And how am I supposed to take it, huh? She did this to spite me. No, it’s worse than that! She did this inspite of knowing it would hurt me and not caring one bit! She did this without considering me at all! She did this completely without me!” Said Micky.
The female voice, Prin sighed. “You make it hard for me to play demonic advocate. Your right, she did this without thinking and it hurt you. Admittedly we didn’t think to consider her in the gift giving. But that was also inconsiderate since she is your master.” Said the female voice.
“They’re my kids! I got them to be servants! What’s it matter?!” Yelled the male voice back, Micky.
“You know that’s not true. She considers them yours, and by extension they are her grand disciples. In many ways that’s a good thing since it means they can get advice for training. And, I also know that you consider them yours. You don’t through a party for servants!” Said Prin. There was a silence then and Tera could feel Micky staring at Prin. She didn’t actually know that but it just felt like what was happening.
“They are what they are. I have taken custody of them. But this, this isn’t right. I don’t care if they are only [First Rank] not even [Tier One]. I know I couldn’t use something below [Tier One] to change my class but these? These are throwing the chamber pot in my face and telling me to clean up the mess...” Micky said, defeated. Brightfur was looking anxious now. She was hunching over even further. Tera was amazed she wasn’t whining like a dog she knew. Her ears were back and her tail was drooping.

“I am kind of pissed that she went and got something so out of our price range. This instead of looking like a gift, looked like she was snubbing ours for being poor. I mean, those [Re-roll R-2] is like 5,000 gold and those [Extra Option R-1] is like 10,000 a piece, together they’re like 15,000 gold with three sets of em’ that’s 45,000 total, that’s insane. And, that’s not including that prices are going crazy right now. With nobody able to really leave the siege and nobody really interested, or selling for that matter, prices must have been wild. I highly doubts that’s what she payed for it.” Said Prin nastily.
And that was when it was too much for Brightfur and she bolted, into the room. “I’m sorry, I’m sorry! Please don’t send me away! I don’t mean it. I’ll give them to you! I’ll give them back! Please don’t send me back!” She said as she ran in. Tera froze while Marry sighed at being caught and started to follow in. People being mad at her for Tera’s sack was nothing new, it was time to face the consequences.
Micky reached down with his hand. Brightfur flinched back. Micky rubbed her head. “I’m not going to send you back there, and don’t you bring that shit up again clear?” He said as he brought her into a hug, still giving her loving pets. “You two get in here and join in on this, that’s an order!” He said in a tone that brooked no argument.
“Now what did you eavesdropping troublemakers overhear, eh? Trouble for adults is supposed to stay with the adults.” Said Micky, Prin just snorted a short laugh but stopped when Micky glared at her.
Tera opened her mouth to explain it properly. You always needed to explain it properly or you would get punished for more then the adults already knew about. She was thinking what to say and how to say it right.
Brightfur beat her too it. “We were coming up to pester you and Prin and then we heard your voices and we stopped and listened and heard that you were yelling at Yolanda for stuff and we listened to see what was going on and she was nice but I won’t talk to her again if that’s what you want and I don’t want the gifts so take them and...” Said Brightfur.
Micky held up ah hand to interrupt her tirade. “Woah, woah woah hold on.” He looked pointedly at Tera who knew she was in trouble and started acting cute and childish. “You listened to me without telling me?” He said to Brightfur while looking at Tera. Stupid Brightfur it was all her fault for not saying it right.
Micky continued “Fine, don’t do that again, but you can keep your gifts. And before you say anything they are yours, you keep them you understand?” This got a wave of nods. “Alright, I, I can’t make any promises about Yolanda. It’s adult stuff. But you don’t have to stop being friends with her ok? I’m just mad about something she did because it was hurtful and inconsiderate. That being said I don’t think she actually meant it that way. But being an adult isn’t about what you mean, it’s about what you do. And sometimes you do things that hurt others without knowing about them.” He finished.
Prin came over and shewed the girls out. She also took the boxes with the [Re-roll]s and [Extra Option]s while she was at it. The girls wouldn’t have use for it yet and it wasn’t good to tempt fate. They may only be good with items or dungeon stuff but they would be very helpful in the future. Heck, they could be helpful now to Micky and Prin even at their level or higher. Though had they been in their second promotion they would start to show limited use. But that didn’t change their value and that they would be considerably useful in their future and thus, needed to be protected and secured from prying eyes. Especially because they could be stolen, unlike Micky’s status.
